It's comments like these that might convince me to adopt the "no point in levelling up just to be an xp generator" way of thinking.

I know you don't mean it in an offensive manner, but I really don't appreciate comments like that considering i'm the sort of player who does level up when I can so people can earn some good xp off my bots.

It's called showing a bit of gratitude.

Like I said, I level up as soon as I can so people have a chance to get bigger xp off my bots.

If people are going to turn around and insult them by calling them "hoes" then i'll simply adopt the way of thinking of other high level commanders who refuse to level up because they don't want to be xp generators.

I'm all for **** talking but you went too far in my eyes and it goes to show that you have no respect for the fact I level up and that i'm not afraid to be an xp generator.

Part of what you two may be experiencing here is a culture conflict.

True, what cjb said was derisive and disrespectful, but I don't think such a comment carries as much weight here in America as it still does elsewhere in the world.

I'm just sayin' he may not have meant it as bad as it came out.

If such is the case, suffice to say, Chris should try to be a bit more sensitive to the cultural norms of other posters in the future, but for now, try to forgive and forget.

No need to create enimity over such a trifling misunderstanding.

Cultural sensitivity aside, the simple fact is this.

I took offense, I made it known that I took offense, yet Chris didn't apologise.

For all the years i've been here i've been blasted numerous times for the exact same thing and been forced to apologise for stuff i've said.

Now i'm not going, nor would I ever, force Chris or anyone to apologise, if they don't want to that's fine, i've made my feelings known.

You may think it's trifling but I am sick to death of being one of the few players who level up as soon as they can. I am sick to death of seeing others who can level up choose not to and then hide behind the excuse "I don't want to be an xp generator".

OS has made an effort to stop this sort of thing but unfortunately his levelling limits only go up to level 6.

There are a heap of bots out there that could be level 10 or 11 (or any level over 6 that could be higher) but choose to sit at a lower level because "they don't want to be an xp generator".

So it's not a little thing to me because i'm sick of seeing this attitude, and i'm sick of being one of the few who bucks that attitude and then has people ridicule and insult his bots for it.

I didn't really realize the amount of offense you have truely taken to that jokin' comment.

Sorry man, that is a joking analagy my friends and I use all the time, on video games, or whatever. I never meant to make you mad over it. I know better for the future. I do appricate you leveling up, gives me something to shoot for... :grin:

On another note, here in the States the comment would have been said to Burn to "man up", or "not to get you panties in a wad". I don't know how these statements are taken overseas, but over here it's part of being male in a society where there is little regard for male feelings, but females can get away with bloody murder. Ask my old coworkers @ Cingular where I'm no longer employed, because I didn't like something but they did like it. Didn't matter that I had 4 years on the job. They still fired me... :-(

Ugh, all I can say is never, NEVER, take a fencing class where the gender ratio is 8 females : 3 males.
