It was o.k. there just setting things up for next week when megatron begins his return. I liked that they made sari a little less of prick and how she saved the autobots from the space barnacles.

Re: Episode 14: Nature calls
To be honest I didn't care for this episode much, it reminded me too much of Beast Machines with all the technology vs nature and the space barnacles turning Transformers into zombies was stupid. However I liked the ending as it's a good setup for Megatron Rising and we now know what happened to Megatron's body.

Re: Episode 14: Nature calls
I liked this episode. It was fun. I guess space barnacles are a little worse than cosmic rust (anyone who claims that the original G1 show was not as goofy as Transformers Animated only has to look at episdoes like Cosmic Rust).
As usual, there were a number of G1 cartoon references such as the colour scheme on the construction equipment.
I also appreciate that the ending of this episode will tie directly into the developing Megatron story-line.

I liked the fact that Sari had to use her key like any normal device...to create sparks, not just stick it in and hope it does something magical. She had to do a bit more thinking in it.
The zombies were okay, the homage construction equipment and construction worker were cool, but overall it was a bit of a boring episode.
Why were people trying to build it up like it was going to be Omega Supreme? Also, why are people bringing in Waspinator, etc. I know it was on the list of UPCs, but man, as soon as we see that it's Waspinator this, and Waspinator that.
I do think though if they are going to include characters from all stories maybe Transformers All Stars may have been a more appropriate name...
Anyway, episode was okay, looking forward to the two parter coming up next week.

Yeah, I agree with this. Everyone knows what a fan I am of TF Animated, but, seriously, monster barnacles from outer space?? How B movie.

BUT, I thought 'zombie' Prowl was cool. I can imagine at least a few kitbashers would get an extra Prowl to turn into this Zombie Prowl, especially some of the guys that are masters at zombie/heavy battle damage versions of characters, so I'm looking forward to seeing those kitbashes.

Yes, the episode was still fun, but the construction machines didn't seem even remotely Constructicon-like, so, really, since the "bad guy" was just a mindless monster, the episode wasn't even as good as the human villian episodes. To me, anyway.

To be honest, I really expected more from this episode, and I was disappointed. Still, it wasn't a total loss, and has been said before, every episode can't be a winner.

This episode sucked. This cartoon series started off strong when it first came out, But now its getting weak. I am so sick of this cartoon sucking week in and week out. Thank GOD megatron is coming soon or i will blow my brains out.

Just watched it. Was not impressed AT ALL! Very Boring. Space barnacles??!! How UBER-fromage!!! Yet another filler ep to keep us til next week. Best part was the end, when Sumdac found what appeared to be a chunk of Megs' Cybertronian form....naturally, a lead-in for the two-parter starting next week....and, for this, I cannot effin' wait!! Bring on Big Megs!!

So the space barnacles were attached to Megatron's body, cool.
I don't think it sucked, I liked it, and I don't think those were the constrcticons, just some generic mining robots.

The space barnacles have nothing to do with the stuff from Transform and Roll Out do they? With the giant bug and all? It just seemed very similar.
I enjoyed this episode a lot. There's a little feud between Bumblebee and Prowl that we see more closely, and we really got a big dose of Bumblebee's craziness in this one.
Every episode has been brilliant to me so far to me, some a bit less than others (namely Nanosec), and to see it get better in Season 2 will be super-awesome. And it seems we jump right into season 2, with the schedule putting "Elite Guard" right after Megatron Rising part 2.

Re: Episode 14: Nature calls
yep, Spike was good fan service, and the barnacles could easily relate to the G1 comic or cosmic rust, but I think the rest of this epi was a little set up work for things to come.Dead Metal wrote:So the space barnacles were attached to Megatron's body, cool.

1. Sumdac makes at least two types of construction vehicles and Megatron has access to files. Season two will have a combiner or the very least a superlinker.
2. Sarri, Bumblebee, and Prowl learn a lesson that could help them in a later episode.
3. Megatron's torso means he can rebuild a formidable body with a good cybertronian base.
It wasn't in my top ten episodes, I didn't hate it either, but it served its purpose.

Re: Episode 14: Nature calls
By the way according to interview done not that long ago with the writers megatron at the beginning after he rebuilds himself will not be that strong so don't expect to much out of the next two episodes. I liked this episode somewhat because it allowed sari to show what she could do without autobot back up.

I agree, This was another pointless Episode And I refuse for anyone to make convince me otherwise. Space Barnicals? Did we really need a whole Episode of them going Camping and then being chased by a possessed Prowl for 10min only to end up back at headquarters with everyone Happy cuz they were able to defeat evil in a 20min span of Television time? BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Well Looks like Megs is Next but who knows how long they'll Draw that out. And isn't this next EP the end of Season 1 and we have to wait awhile for Season 2?
And I Also would like to know how long is it in between Eps in terms of time? What, like the next day sort of thing or weeks in between? If its weeks what the hell have the Decepticons been doing in between eps that they are not in. Sitting around thinking of what to do. Do they have a Home Base on Earth? HAve Lug, Blitz and Strarscream met up with Blackarachnia? Where the hell has she been? Twiddling her thumbs in cave figuring out what to do?
There is so much Unnecessary Lagging in this series its a shame.

Re: Episode 14: Nature calls
Interesting episode, and pretty fun. Prowl is most definitely my favorite character of Animated, no question. Oh, and I honestly did not see the twist at the end coming, great setup for next week!
However, if Space Barnicles can only be dealt with by burning them off, how did they survive entering Earth's atmosphere, which according to many movies I've seen can get EXTREMELY hot? Also, why did it take fifty years for them to start causing trouble? I have devised answers my own questions before they are asked by others! So just for fun, my theory:
Space Barnicle eggs, plain and simple. We only saw the ship from far off in Tranform and Roll out, so it's possible there were some on the ship. Also recall that Megatron stood on the ship in the first episode. When he landed, a couple barnicles attached to his foot, and laid eggs inside of his inner joints. Being the big huge powerful robot that he is, Megatron would not notice, it'd be the equivalent of a couple fleas landing on a human. Anyway, Megs goes through the atmosphere, and any residual barnicles are burned off but the eggs laid inside his inner workings survive, but are heavily damaged and it takes them time to hatch and develop into the hulking monster we saw today. Oh, and if your wondering, I thought this up in like a minute after I saw the episode, and do you think I should write to the Animated writers asking for my No-prize?(a Marvel Comics reference).

For all those who hate reading comments from "haters" then I suggest you skip over this post.
This was easily THE dumbest episode in this series so far. Only the last 30 seconds or so actually served any purpose whatsoever.
Homeage to the Constructicons? Maybe. But they missed out on a real big opportunity with the space barnacles. Why not make them Scraplets? Now THAT would have been a homeage.
But wait, space barnacles can only be removed with extreme heat? So Sari can super heat water and get drenched with it and survive? hmmmmm yeah. Kids show or not, that little plot hole was bad.

Bad plot or no, even the haters have to admit that it had some laugh out loud moments:

Actually that was another missed opportunity.
They could have easily spun that into a reference about G1 Prime and his always disappearing trailer.

Well I guess. Kinda more on the cheese side than laugh out loud.
That line should have been followed by that Drum, Snare and Cymbal Crash noise you hear after a bad joke.

Wasn’t horrendously bad, but wasn’t anything good either. Barnacle monsters IMO are just stupid. And was it just me or did anyone else think the barnacle monster they were fighting looked a lot like that green thing that’s always in the mega man games…
This show is just really boring, would have much preferred something more like the last three shows.
