MasterMind Creations will be releasing an exclusive preview set of their upcoming Knight Morpher Airborne Squad title "Awakening" at a yet to be disclosed toy show and online. The preview set will be a limited production, details regarding this release coming soon.

Mastermind Creations wrote:The Awakening edition portrays the Airborne Squad obtaining their earth form and recovering from the hibernation mode. Product wise, it is made to resemble the feeling of a prototype, with the quality of a finished product. Pre-orders will be taken at San Jose Super Toy Show dated August 18 (the coming weekend). Online store Ages Three and Up will be taking orders for the remainders (if any) one day after the toy show. Product release date is August 30, Price US$100.00. Collectors will expect to receive their pre-orders by September 15.

I'd like to see more of this from 3rd Parties... I've always loved the look of gray prototypes.

It's a neat concept, but it's not one I like all that much. Just not enough vibrancy or contrast for my tastes. I'll happily pass on this and wait for the final releases.

I always liked the Robot of this piece but the vehicle mode is just...odd..

The no paint app version would be a great idea for a customizer..Be a chance to make that obscure seeker you always wanted..

Out of all the different colored Seekers, I still don't understand why they chose to go with black and white. Wouldn't a Sunstorm colored one sell like hot cakes?

That was my attitude towards it as well. Once I learned it was black & white I was out. I'd have even bought an acid storm or purple clone deco'd one.

Aww... I was refreshing Age three and up since sunday and I still missed it. I don't want the regular seeker colors so I'm pretty much done with this figure, I guess.

This release actually makes perfect sense to me; do a small, unpainted run to work the bugs out before they start with the mass release decos. It's like their yellow Giant release.

And you've got to think that if the main three Seekers are successes, they'll do a Sunstorm deco and milk this mold.

The one thing that made this toy for me is that he could in the long run be repurposed as a lot of characters with little effort, such as Ramjet or King Atlas as some have suggested. Heck mine's going to land up a berserker Sixwing nod on the autobot shelf.
