Pre-order prices are cheaper than I thought they would be. Toy looks like a small deluxe like 1.0 Deluxe Bumblebee was.

Didn't realize the toy was a tripple changer. That's a big feat to accomplish for a deluxe toy. Car mode looks more like a boat. Think the car mode looks Terrible because it made sacrifices to accommodate the jet mode parts.

Won't be buying this. I'll be buying the HasTak 30th Arcee toy instead.

Dude, G1 Arcee was a futuristic hover-type car...

Also, what extra parts? It looks like you get the jet mode by pivoting the two white pieces together, and swiveling the legs 90 degrees.

Nope, she had wheels. She also had curves, just like the Hasbro version, not nothing but sharp edges and angles like the MMC version.

This thing looks like a bot folded up into a table with a large gap in the back. It's closer to Blurr or Springer's car mode than it is Arcee in my opinion.

For some reason I can't find any decent images of Arcee in alt mode from the G1 cartoon online. I wonder if Hasbro's having them removed

. The entire series minus the movie is up on Netflix though, so I'll grab a couple of screen caps from the show when I have time but for now these two will have to do:

That 'Ellen Burr' accessory attached to the side of her alt mode is optional just like the guns attached to the sides of the Hasbro Generations version

If you guys dig MMC's more, great, but it definitely does not closely resemble G1 Arcee at all in my opinion. That car mode looks like a fan-mode or something to me, not unlike KFC's not-Perceptor's alt mode.

Now all that said, I DO think what these guys are doing for the Season 1 female Autobots look great so far, at least in their bot modes. I'll probably end up picking those up if no better versions of those characters show up between now and then.

I definitely agree with you, xyl360. I think Hasbro did wonderful things with Generations Arcee. It's only taken them, what, 28 years? I'd have hoped they could have done more with her backpack... :BOOM:

But in all seriousness, she looks wonderful and I will definitely be getting her. Heck, I might get a second one for my daughter.

For me, the draw with MMC's is that, while not looking exclusively like G1 Arcee, she looks bad ass! She's a different take on the character. I imagine MMC's is an Arcee that had some tragic event in her life that has sent her on a rampage, ready to carve out some Decepticon fluid relief valves. Whatever the back story, I just love the aesthetic, transformation, and even the alt mode.

Now, I just have to figure out if there is a market for PE Motobot or a fire pit somewhere.

I kid. There are aspects of that one I like too. I just am not crazy with Arcee being a motorcycle. Too many riding double entendres...

Why are you guys even bringing up the issue on how MMC Arcee doesn't resembles G1 Arcee? That's because she's NOT G1, she's IDW's version of her; A crazy, bat-shit insane, bloodthirsty, experimental "transexual" robot. You can't really be expecting a G1 representation from MMC when they're tackling the IDW design.

If you wanted G1, then of course, the generations Arcee is going to be right up your alley. She looks great.

I'll end up getting Arcee, Windblade, Chromia and Azalea because there's just can't be enough fembots.

Yeah, this is just going off a totally different source than G1. If you don't like the IDW look, then that's fair enough, but there doesn't seem to be many compromises made to either look. They look very much like their inspiration.

As for Hasbro's Arcee, they got the vehicle mode right (probably the best out of her, Valkerie, and Delicate Warrior), but I can't say I'm overfond of the robot mode. But I WILL get her.

Could be some (namely me) have been craving a G1 Arcee for so long that anything close gets the ole juices flowing. Now that Hasbro has come out with a fantastic G1 representation, MMC's isn't needed for the G1 represent. If Hasbro wouldn't have come out with Arcee, MMC's would have been my second choice or the Classics shelf.

So, this leaves me a conundrum. (I should preface this by saying I don't read the MTMTE comic.) Do I stick with Hasbro and scrap the idea of getting Azalea? Or is Azalea so awesome that it warrants a purchase despite Hasbro's offering? For me at this time, it is the latter.

I just wanted to explain my previous comments. I hope I didn't add to the perceived confusion. I am well aware of the source material for MMC's, as has been explained several times in this thread. It just didn't factor into my feelings on Azalea. Classics has always been about re-imagining the G1 characters, so MMC's take can fit well into my classics shelf. Now I just have to figure out how to have both on my shelf. Maybe Azalea goes next to Defender for now...

Well, there're the other versions of this coming out. The medic, Elita-1, Solaris Prime, and Moonracer. You could always get the Hasbro one you like so much as Arcee and this mould as someone else.

That's probably what I should be doing myself since I have so many Arcees. But Therese's something I like in owning so many too.

Bingo! I will be getting the other colors/heads as well. With the lack of fembots in the past, it's nice to finally represent.

MMC .

Silver looks the best, but the color creates too much contrast. Matt Pink is soft so that the color helps to bring out the original face sculpt. Matt Silver was meant to be a combination of the first 2 however the result is not as impressive
