So the rumors of it being a closet Six Switch tease were true.

Well, after Perceptor was canned I'm still not feeling this project. But I may get it if it's released. It'll be between it and FP's and I still might get the other mould as Six Knight anyway.

Wow! Sorry, MMC, but I'm happy with my Perceptor and FP Brainstorm. However, that Shockwave is sexy. Depending on size and price, that one might be mine.

However, I am now supremely split on Quickswitch. It'll probably be a race between MMC and FP. (And it'll be a camel race because these will be, what, a year out?) It will be really nice to see some prototypes of these two.

That fanprojects quickswitch was such a horrible design in all modes. With MMC,The chances of Rapidus being the superior design is so high.

As long as Carniffex doesn't get delayed or cancelled due to rapidus,I don't have a problem.

I might buy rapidus if it's 2.0 Ultra Scale & priced lower than Terminus.

Hopefully MMC releases all the feroicons before february. So we can get the Carnifex released before the 3rd or 4th quarters of 2014.

I have no interest in the MMC arcee toy. So I'm hoping the small scale means it comes & goes quickly, then ceases production quicky to make room for carnifex. Hopefully the MMC arcee repaints all get released at the same time & don't delay other MMC projects.

FP's version is complete garbage, so for me it'll be this or nothing. Hopefully I like what MMC come up with.

Agreed.

As far as MMC's Cyclops goes,it needs to be at least 2.0 Ultra sized & priced cheaper than Hexatron for me to buy it. I don't need a deluxe or voyager scale Cyclops that is priced at a insane over $100 price tag.

As far as MMC's Physicus Tempest goes. This needs to be done at the Voyager size scale & priced around $75-$85. FP's version being deluxe size is wrong as it's smaller than the 1987 toy. TW's version being 2.0 Ultra sized is wrong as it's oversized.

Wow, such vitriol for FP and such support for MMC when all we've seen so far is robot mode pics for MMC. I think FP did a fabulous job on a really ugly character (both the G1 toy and the animated character model.) I am amazed at the engineering FP was able to put into that figure, and aside from some obviously mis-transformed pictures, I thought it looked very decent.

The bot mode of MMC's looks great! I'm waiting to see how the other modes look before I can make a decision on whether MMC is superior to FP. Hopefully we can see that soon...

I seem to remember someone posting about MMC creating a generic transforming mould which could be adapted into many charaters, using the same basic transformation?
Seeing those various figre shots, they all seem to have the same legs and waist!

Yep, I think you are correct! In looking at the legs of all of them, they do indeed look very much alike. That might be one reason to go with FP over MMC with Quickswitch. I'll definitely need to see the alt modes to be sure, though.

[Edit] Now that I look closer, the only real difference between Quickswitch and Brainstorm (other than the assumed paint apps) is the head. The rifles used by Quickswitch are just the ones on the back of Brainstorm. Hrm...How do they get 5 alt modes out of that? Image

Some have speculated at TFW, that the various scientists were just jokes and a subtle way to show their product (as MMC is fond of jokes and it's a way to troll companies that have already doen a Shockwave, Brainstorm, and Perceptor). They all share the same mould, but have some different features (such as different chest panels).

You'll notice Brainstorm has Six Switch's guns and vehicle mode while Sixswitch also turned into a gun. How Perceptor fit into that logic, I dunno, but it pisses me off because I really liked that Perceptor.

Not necessarily. I remember these being teased quite some time ago. It's probably all on MMC's usual development and release habits.

Which means about a year to a year and a half on the scientist line and 2 to 3 years on Overlord. Image

Waiting almost Three years for Hexatron was bad enough. Waiting another Three years for Carnifex will sad.

If MMC,Is going to take over Two years to release each figure,Then can they try to work with the fan by creating some type of poll. Where fans get to decide which figures need to get done first & which should get bumped last. While arcee, quickswitch & brainstorm are nice MMC designs. I'm pretty sure if fans had a choice,They would want MMC to release Carnifex first before the others.

I still can't believe MMC has upped, the release paces on the Ferocicons by releasing the rest 2-4 weeks apart from each other. With MMC recent pace,It's just hard to believe they can release all the Ferocicons before Feburary 2014 ends.

Yeah, we'll see about the releases. We still don't have colored test shots of Felisaber and Talon, so it might be a ways away. Which I'm OK with, as Bovis is excellent, Fortis should be similarly excellent, and Leo Dux just seems like a ton of fun.

On Quickswitch, I can't pass judgement on either FP or MMC, and I think it's silly to do so now, with only images and uncolored prototypes released. So... wait and see. >:oP

I'm still surprised that this is a surprise to anybody. MMC has pretty well established how they do things. And, besides, they did get fan feedback on the Arcee mold. Perhaps this might change given Has/Tak's announcement on Arcee in the upcoming line, but it is pretty far down the design process, with a lot of money already sunk into the product. (Personally, I hope they continue with that line. I'd like to see them.)

Yeah, again, given their penchant for high quality work, I wouldn't be surprised if the products are pushed back more.

I can understand the frustration, but based on my experience with MMC products, and comments from others here, it is well worth the wait! I'd council patience. Or as much as possible, anyway.

I believe MMC confirmed that they will be releasing Arcee and the others still. Even with Hasbro's announcement there seems to be enough interest for it to go ahead.

Yeah, that was my understanding too. I was just countering the implied contention that MMC doesn't listen to the fan base, when I think they clearly have shown that they do. (Not directed at you, Arctorro. :D )
