I say put in Lobo as DLC. That will sell more than you could believe.

Motto: "Feel free to die when you've had enough."
Weapon: Dark Saber Sword
I'd get it just for Lobo

Worse off, Ed Boon hinted that downloadable content would include Doomsday. Oh that's just not fair.

I mean, toning down Superman mainly with his weakness against magic is one thing, but Doomsday doesn't have weaknesses, and he develops strengths against anything that can hurt him sufficiently.

As soon as they did this i knew stuff like this would have to be "altered" in order to have it make sense in the game

I could see Lobo being in Mortal Kombat even if it wasn't a crossover, and even if it was still M Rated.

Superman-boy prime and a few others would fit the bill as well. personally, I'm hoping for The Question.

I dunno about Superboy Prime, he'd need as much of a nerf as Superman. The Question, maybe. I could see that.

Personally I think the concept is kind of cool but i would of been happy as hell with just a new mortal Kombat game that fixed the issues of the last 3:

Deadly Aliance: Awesome game, but only one fatality per character and no stage fatalities? Come on!

Deception: Awesome addition of stage fatalities and 2 fatalites per character plus awesome mini-games, but way too much unlockable content required to fully enjoy the game, and unlocking it is an utter pain in the ass. Requires playing of the horrible gawd awful story mode and trying to pull off "Combos" and just exploring endless maps with no sense of direction to unlock that content.

Armegeddon. Seems they finally corrected the issues of the last 2 games, but they created a new one: The create-a-fatality system. You hear the name and it sounds awesome, but in reality it sucks. Basically it was a half-assed lazy fatality system in where every character has the same fatality and depending on what buttons you push you can make the fatality last forever. Really sucks to because other than the Create-a-Fatality system this is probably the best MK game ever made. Every single characters and stage available from the first time you stick the disc in, stage fatalities, etc.

Now the new game is a great idea, but its like 10 years too late. They wanna compete with "Marvel vs. Capcom" I don't know if Midway got the memo but there hasn't been a MvC in like 8 years or so! Honestly I'd really be fine with the idea if they hadn't toned down the fatalities. And I haven't played the game, but it almost sounds like they ditched the fighting styles in favor of classic MK combat. Not crazy about that. The past 3 MK games were the best in the series because the fighting styles put less emphasis on getting to that fatality "gimmick" and more emphasis on fighting. For once MK felt like a real fighting game!

My wife got me this game for Christmas, and I have to say so far its BAD ASS! Fun as hell. Dissapointing that the fighting style/weapons thing is gone, but they made up for it with a lot of new elements. I will say what I won't miss about the Fighting style system, is how complicated it was to learn how to fight!

The Air Kombat, close quarters combat, and the whole "running threw the wall" Kombat are all fun as hell to use! Graphics are nothing mind blowing by most games standards, but it definitely is the best looking MK game to date! I started playing story on the DC side, its fun and addictive.

To any MK Fan I recommend! I pretty much just stopped playing it because my thumbs were getting sore!
