MOVIE LOCKDOWN LOOKS LIKE BEAST MACHINES OPTIMUS PRIMAL!

i was browsing DEVIANTART when i found this submission

http://marydec.deviantart.com/art/TF4-A ... -434294232

the resemblance is uncanny! WOW! holy crap. i'm in shock atm.
i wonder if this was a nod, or the designer was so lazy that he copied off the design figuring no one would notice since beast machines is mostly forgotten? man...this only encourages me to hope for a beastwars live action movie...

I thought Lockdown looked different than that. He looks more like he has a hockey mask or something on, doesn't he? That does look like Optimus, and not a bit intimidating at all. Definitely unlike a Decepticon.

Ehh... more than likely it's just coincidence. It happens in the Transformers franchise more than you think.

Also, I took the liberty of editing your original message; cursing in that degree is not welcome at Seibertron.com. Remember to keep it classy, not crass-y! ;)

Sometimes when looking to build someone one looks over rough drafts or source material. In this case all previous Transformers stuff is available material. So someone could have said use the Primal face and make him a villain. Not lazy or a nod. Just a cool look they wanted to use.

Nice job finding and pointing out how similar they are.
