Movie Payload a midget?

Postby publicvisage » Sun Sep 30, 2007 3:05 pm

Walked into my local TRU today and found that they had restocked Movie Wave 2 figures. Although, I've ordered several from HTS this the first time I've seen them in person. I was surprised at how wide Longarm is...and how tiny Payload is. He didn't even take up half of the bubble packing! Is he really that small? Does anyone have any size comparison picks?

Weapon: Switch Blade Tail
*ahem* He's not a..."midget". They're called Little People, helllooo?

All joking aside, yes. He's one of the shortest Deluxe Class figures. I think even Arcee's slightly taller than he is.

He's still worth a buy, cuz he's good in his own goofy way.

Weapon: Electron Scimitar Sword
I bought him yesterday, and he looks great with the other lens heads.

Is he really that good? I do like the aesthetic(lens head and all), but I don't dig the back plunger, and I've heard some generally bad things about him--parts falling off is the main one I'm concerned about.

He's the one movie figure that I'm wishy-washy on. The others are either yes or no.

Weapon: Sword
Payload has quite a few parts that are not sealed in place. They are just held into place by a few pegs, kind of like the world's smallest transformers figures.

The grill of the truck, the little grill in front of his claw, and his head piece come off very easily (but also go back on easily).

Payload is very...meh.

Parts keep falling off in transformation, he's pretty hard to pose due to the huge rod jutting out from his back, and add in some loose leg joints (though I fixed that problem). I don't really recommend him. I got him as a gift so I didn't worry about wasting 10 bucks.
