Movies & TV reviews and suggestions thread
Re: Movies & TV reviews and suggestions thread
I've been watching episodes of Sherlock today. Quite an interesting series, and very well executed.

Truly a match made in hell.
And I only say that because I liked the WTFedness in the book with nobody having any idea what was going on at the beginning of the Scorch Trials like all the people committing "suicide" then disappearing in the facility and the apparent lack of the zombie Cranks, judging by the trailer, we're going to get a lot more expositional dialogue with the "rat-faced man" then in the book.
I don't try to judge movies by their trailers, with the exception being something like Twilight.

Lots of things designed for one person can easily hold two people, caskets, phone booths, bathtubs...

What is it, a coffin? Man you built a crappy tree house if it's only capable of holding one person and nothing else.

OK since I'm being accused of being a Johhny Come lately on the recommendation of a property a few weeks after it's debut.
I'll embrace this supposed flaw and proceed to recommend a bunch of things made several decades ago.

A few months after its debut. If you're going to embrace any flaw, it should be your inability to recognize the passage of time.

I consider it perfectly acceptable to say weeks as a means of description for any period below a few Months - Like one does with Babies or Puppies ages.
Oh and don't be so damn rude.

Hm, was wondering who'd make that joke sooner, you or Nemesis...
And while I'm being roped into seeing it, my guess is that my little theater won't be getting it due to the bombtastic-ness of it.

You could just admit you didn't realize it had already been posted and move on. That would be the rational thing to do. But if you really want to argue that you can't tell the difference between months and weeks, I can't really stop you.

Okay, enough Shadowman. Your constant harassment of members needs to stop. You talk about moving on? Then try it yourself. I've watched across threads and various members as you hound them. Enough. Keep it up and you'll find yourself with more warnings and eventual bans.
Everyone else, move on as well, if you find yourself being harassed/abused by other members, please use the "Report this Post" button and move on. Don't respond to them.

I saw Pixels today, and you know what? It wasn't half bad. I probably won't buy it on DVD, but I enjoyed it. Lots, I mean LOTS of 80s references, so maybe you won't get a lot of it.And while I'm being roped into seeing it, my guess is that my little theater won't be getting it due to the bombtastic-ness of it.

Absolutely. Plus, as a matter of interest and stress to the people keeping track, it was a...wait for it...date. RESET THAT CLOCK!Rodimus Prime wrote:Fantastic 4 should have been left alone. There was absolutely no reason for this pathetic attempt at a "reboot." None. I'm glad it bombed.
Going to see it, mostly cause said date wants to see it, but I'm expecting disappointment and boredom.Rodimus Prime wrote:As for Rogue Cut, DoFP is the only X-Men movie I don't have on Blu-ray yet, so I'll probably buy that.
Considering snapping that up, lemme know if it's really worth it.
Im still A Big Fan of Org. FF/FF2 that Silver Surfer was Awesome than & Underrated and Underappreciated now. Plus Alba...

Id say From 1999-2007 Jessica Alba is Hottest Women of any era, ever!
Did any of you see 'Into the Blue' bikini's + Bahamas = WoW
(Into the Blue A perfect $7 Blu-ray, & its rewatchable)
Anyways,
Imo "Rogue Cut" is waste A $$$ even though I didn't buy it.
I don't think its Blu-Ray purchase worthy, because-
you probably wouldn't watch it more than once or twice.
Esp When ya can get A good Tpb. Or two cheaper.
Speaking of which--

I'll tell ya what to "Snap Up" ---- Gillen's Uncanny X-men!!

Ya Learn All bout Mr.Sinister & 'Sinister London' (Next XCU Villian). You see Colossus get the Juggernaut Armour & Later you C Colossus Fight HULK wit it on! Plus it segways perfectly into "AvsX". It's thee most Powerfullest core X-team roll-call in A book to date. & You see the build up to Scott killing Prof.X! Plus Magneto is on the Squad!

Okay, first off Fireback, I'm sure something is being lost in translation, because most of that was unintelligible. Also, if you'd like to discuss marvel in great detail, I'd recommend using the proper thread here

I vaguely remember them giving a completely different answer about a year ago.
Seeing as I was laid up today with a head cold, I figured it would be safe to watch some b-grade (or less) movies without fear of killing too many braincells.
So I watched Lavalantula and Zombeavers. As expected, they were far from classics.
