It took a while for it to find its footing, but once the character development gets into full swing, the story becomes very interesting, to me it did anyway. There's still the odd duck here and there, but the action, surprises and laughs keep coming. Definitely more fun than TWD, which was dragged down too much by drama and angst. The zombie effects are at least on par, and the story dealing with the actual zombie outbreak doesn't get bogged down by too much focus on the characters and their relationships. If you like zombie stuff, you should give it another try.Burn wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Have any of you seen Z Nation? I just recently started watching this and I love it. I gave up after the first couple of episodes, felt it was a little TOO cheesy.
Roadbuster wrote:Just saw Sonic. Probably won't be the best movie I see this but it is worth a watch, especially since they actually listened to the fans on the design, took it back, and made him look more like Sonic. I am glad they did that. There are some Easter eggs and nods to potential sequels
A young Sonic flees a tribe of masked Echidnas that do bear resemblance to Knuckles, sporting facial features like his eyes and dreadlocks. Since Knuckles is supposed to be roughly Sonics age, he is not among the attackers. They'll definitely set him up to be an enemy-turned frien-emy if they do a third film.
The Golden Gate Bridge sequence was cut from the film, likely due to not meeting the deadline post re-design.
Sonic's bag of rings act as portals to other worlds.
Nods to certain zones, like a Highway sign to Hill Top. Green Hill is the name of the town Sonic has been hiding out in.
The mushroom world where Sonic is supposed to flee to but sends Robotnik, is a nod to Mushroom Hill, only more an emphasis on the mushrooms.
Several chili dogs were devoured by a certain blue Hedgehog during a "quicksilver sequence", one guy was completely wrapped up like a mummy in toilet paper.
Wachowski's niece gives Sonic his signature red shoes late in the film.
Robotnik sports his more familiar mustache and shaved head at the end. Throughout the film he gradually becomes more wacky like his counterpart. By the end, while stranded on the Mushroom planet, he goes full Castaway with a rock he molded into a face that he named after his assistant. He has the blue quill he discovered, indicating he will find a way back by the sequel. Hopefully his new mental state will inspire him to create more familiar-looking robots, including Sonic's evil metallic doppleganger, Metal Sonic.
It takes more than eight hits to take down Robotniks aircraft.
A Mid-credits scene occurs as another portal opens up near Green Hill. You already know who it is and they kept faithful to the design.
Acting talent-wise perhaps.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Jim Carrey is a national treasure
