I've been thinking about this for a long time now. how do you get that head folded back into the plane? after working in the studio for a while tonight I sat down and tried to think about this ongoing source of frustration. Then it dawned on me!
now I realize the cone is a little tall but that can be remedied.

Cool! I was waiting for this to happen. The moments when the other masterpiece seekers (especially the coneheads) sre customized. Can't wait to see this finished and excited to see who and when a thrust will be created.

Thanks guys. I started working on the wings tonight. they'll split in two parts similar to the way Classics Ramjet's wings do. I've added pictures of the head in alt mode too. it fits! The only part of the wings that's attached at the moment are the smaller fins. the larger parts are just set there to give you an idea of what he's lookin like.

So who knows anything about making panel lines??? (:|

This is cool! Dirge's Wings can actually make use of the stupid "Samurai Sword" panels that hang off the hips! Can't wait to see this one complete! B-)

This is an ambitious project. Even though its a minor mod, this is creating a whole new character and in MP scale no less! I'll be watching this thread for updates. I can't wait to see the finished product.
MP kitbashes will always catch my attention. :grin:

thanks fellas. olokin, yeah, the original cone fits a little too tight. this head I cast is a little short. the one I'll go with is somewhere in the middle. The blasters came from a 1/48 F-16 Fighting Falcon. got that for an mp Dreadwind which is on the drawing table. :wink:

another update folks. the wings are done except for a little red paint. this is still not the head but I quickly painted this one for kicks.

I've found something I think came off of a hotwheels track (similar to the criss cross crash drive system) that gives an appearance of turbines if anyone considers a mp Thrust. I was planning to try a few mold off of it for the turbine fans for thrust as well as exhaust for a large scale project.

welp, Dirge is Complete. I will be making a few of these heads to sell. If you're interested let me know, so that I can get a good idea as to how many I should think about making. they'll go for about $10. looks to be the going rate for heads these days. I had a blast making him. The rest of the coneheads are on their way. updates in about a week or so.

First time I've ever posted in this forum. I've always looked at stuff but never replied. I just had to reply to this. Simply amazing and great work. The only thing that would be better than looking at the pictures is if he was sitting in my display case.

You truly are an artist and I've enjoyed watching your other projects, Wheeljack, Gears, Windcharger, etc.

I wish I could employ you to build me customs but I could never offer you enough! I'm glad you're around on this board to share with the rest of us.

They are not wheels. It's a plastic mold made to look like some futuristic building or power plant. It housed the motor, drive wheels, and batteries to force hotwheels cars along a track. The structure is kind of cone shape like a jet's exhaust but at the top, the detail looks like turbines. I'll have to take some pics.

Dirge looks awesome! nice work on this one Wheel_Jack! I'm going to follow all your upcoming MP seekers too. looking at your posted and admiring the detail on your mp dirge doesn't get old.
