Hello.I am making a new story called Unicron's Wrath set on and around Cybertron and I decided that I would post it bit by bit here.Enjoy!Feel free to post your comments!

PROLOGUE

Unicron’s severed head shook in it’s orbit of Cybertron as the ship landed on it. Shockwave jumped out of the ship and walked calmly towards the centre of Unicron’s head holding a small object. He held up the object and slammed it down on Unicron’s head. Instantly large beams of light shot from the object and mechanical workings started to whir once again. A small, dark shape began to appear under the great head. It began to get more complex and knotted itself into arms and legs. Somehow, inexplicably, Unicron had risen again!

PART 1

In the Autobot base on Cybertron Optimus Prime saw something strange on his space-radar screen for a second before it vanished.
“Perceptor, come and look at this!”
“What is it Optimus?” Perceptor asked.
“I don’t know. Look, I’ll replay it. There see?”
“Yes Optimus, it looks like some sort of giant object disappearing into deep space.”
“What could it be?”
“I don’t know Optimus.”
Suddenly there was a cry from outside: “Optimus, we are being overpowered by Decepticons! HELP!”
“Wheelie! I’m coming! Jazz, Trailbreaker, transform and roll out!”
Outside the battle was raging as Soundwave and a few dozen drones attacked the headquarters. Ratchet, Ironhide and Bumblebee were hiding behind an old space lander, shooting drones. “Autobots, ATTACK!!” cried Optimus as he, Jazz and Trailbreaker transformed to robot mode and started blasting.
“Retreat!” called Soundwave and he and his drones suddenly turned and fled.
“Wonder what made ‘em flee?” asked Bumblebee.
“Dunno” said Trailbreaker “Did you see the way they went tail between their legs. I say it was Optimus arriving that made ‘em go.”
“That may be, Trailbreaker,” said Optimus “but more likely it had something to do with that giant object."

PART 2

Back in the base, Perceptor was analysing the space-radar with Wheeljack.
“Optimus, we have analysed the radar and we have noticed something extraordinary.”
“What is it Wheeljack?”
“The head of Unicron has disappeared from orbit.”
“What!”
“The head of Unic…”
“I heard you I just can’t believe it!”
“I know, it’s just gone!”
The next day Mirage, Jazz and Skids were on patrol having completely forgotten about the previous days events.
“Hey Skids,” shouted Jazz over the noise of his engine, “wanna go over to the space bridge to get to Earth and wow some people?”
“Yeah, why not.Last one there is a corroded bearing!”
“Hey,” shouted Mirage, “Stop at once. We are on patrol for a reason. Optimus sent us here.”
“Aw, go blow out your exhaust pipe Mirage, we’ll be back in a bit! Bye!”
“Grrr, they can get really annoying those two. I don’t know why Optimus sent them with me. He should have sent Ironhide inst- Hang on what’s this?” Mirage sped towards a point of light in the distance. “It appears to be some sort of searchlight.” WHUDDA-WHUDDA-WHUDDA!VROOM!
“What’s that?” thought Mirage and as he thought it a hail of lasers came down and struck the ground around him.
“Decepticons! Blackout and Knockout! Better go invisible.” Vwoop. Mirage could now go where he liked! He sneaked past the two blundering Decepticons and headed once more for the light.
Meanwhile, Jazz and Trailbreaker had arrived outside the space bridge.
“Oh yeah, we’re here!” said Jazz.
“Yeah, let’s get in there and get out of here!” replied Trailbreaker. “Wait, Decepticon drones.”
“I’ll let ’em have some MUSIC!” said Jazz as he transformed and started blasting out music. The drones were blasted away by the noise and Trailbreaker and Jazz just got through the bridge as Megatron arrived.
“NO!” he cried. “Who was responsible for these drones?”
Slowly, Hammer lifted his hand.
“You idiot!” shouted Megatron, “These are old drones so it’s your fault that the Autobot got away through the space bridge!”
Mirage had now reached the light and realised it was indeed a searchlight and he could now see that it was surrounded by a Decepticon stronghold. At the base the radio crackled into life “Hello, Optimus, this is Mirage speaking. Jazz and Trailbreaker have gone through the space bridge to Earth to ‘wow some people’. I have discovered a new Decepticon stronghold at the co-ordinates 44.1-74.9. It appears to have a spaceport in it. Should I investigate?”
Optimus replied “No, come back and we’ll send out a investigation group which I shall personally lead. As for Jazz and Trailbreaker, it’s all we can do to wait for them to return and hope they don’t get taken out by Decepticons."

PART 3

Unicron was speeding across the galaxy towards a planet, Char.
“Shockwave, where are we in relation to Char?” he asked.
“We are currently cruising at a distance of 121,690 miles and travelling at 72,450 mph. We should be there before the sun sets there.”
“Good, good, I take it we will rendezvous with Brawl and the other Combaticons there?”
“Yes, we will.”
Back on Cybertron, the Autobots were organising an investigation group:
“Arcee, Ironhide, come with me,” Prime was saying, “Bumblebee, Hardhead, go with Hot Rod. Wheeljack and Perceptor, stay here and see if you can find anything else out about the huge object. All other Autobots, scout around in pairs for other objects of interest.”
In the Decepticon stronghold, Megatron was picking up something on his radar,
“Soundwave, what is this?”
“Objects rapidly moving towards us…Laserbeak, eject. Find out what those objects are.”
Laserbeak flew out of a hole in the side of the stronghold and straight towards the Autobots!
“Laserbeak reports” said Soundwave, “Autobots coming.”
“What!” shouted Megatron, “Constructicons, man the turrets!”
A second later the Autobots were surrounded by flying laser beams and scrap metal!
“Autobots, transform!” shouted Optimus.

PART 4

The air was filled with hundreds of lasers like an inferno until the Autobots managed to blow up all the turrets.
“NOOO!!” cried Megatron, “Constructicons, merge, Stunticons, merge! All of you! Into Devastator and Menasor!”
Unicron and the ship had arrived at Char. All of the Decepticons in the ship stepped out, Shockwave, Barricade, Starscream and Blitzwing, to greet the Combaticons. However, there was a surprise in store for them, for Dirge, Ramjet, Thrust and even Scourge appeared from behind a rock!
“What are you doing here?” asked Starscream, “and where are the Combaticons. As their creator I demand to know where they are!”
“They…we...they have never seemed right since their fight with Superion and earlier they tried to ambush us. We had no choice but to destroy them.” Scourge replied
“YOU WHAT!!!!”
“We had to, they were about to kill us.”
“You still haven’t told me why you are here.”
“We are here because Megatron sent us.”
“Why?”
This time Dirge replied: “Megatron told us not to repeat any of what he said.”
Starscream was getting ready to have another go at the unexpected arrivals but Shockwave cut in, “Megatron has trusted them, as he has trusted us. Would it be wise to betray him now?”
“I suppose not Shockwave.” replied Starscream.

PART 5

All the way on Earth Trailbreaker and Jazz were getting revved up for a race when they suddenly got a transmission from Prime: “Jazz, Trailbreaker, we need you now on Cybertron co-ordinates 44.1-74.9! Come immediately!”
“Okay Optimus, can you use Teletran 1 to teleport us to Cybertron”
“I believe it can be done. You’ll be here in 5 minutes.”
“Good. Transmission ends. Okay people!” Jazz said, addressing the crowd, "me and Trailbreaker are needed on Cybertron, see ya around!” and with that they teleported right into the middle of the battle!
Back on Char Dirge had just noticed something:
“Woah, what is that?!” he was pointing at Unicron.
“That,” replied Shockwave, “Is Unicron.
“Sorry I thought you said Unicron?”
“I did.”
“WOAH! How did you DO that?!”
“I stole the Quintesson regenerator spark and used it on Unicron’s severed head.”
“How…” Ramjet trailed off, speechless.
“It’s a long story.” said Blitzwing.
“ They have a right to know,” interrupted Shockwave, “it was like this. We were on a routine patrol flight when we intercepted a Quintesson ship. We asked Megatron if we should investigate and he said yes so we blasted a hole in the side of the ship and went in. We split up to investigate and I went to the cargo bay. I was looking for anything of value when the door behind me slid open and a Sharkticon came through. I blasted the guard and resumed my search. Suddenly a door that I had not seen slid open and 6 more Sharkticons came through! I radioed the others to come to the cargo bay and when I heard the sound of thrusters, the screeching of tires and the grind of a tank I knew I was okay. I blasted 2 Sharkticons when the others blasted through the door. The door flew off, crushing a Sharkticon against the far wall. That left 3 against 4. Just then I was hit by a blast and knocked down, the Sharkticons presumed I was dead and forgot about me. I crawled to the big heap of cargo at the back of the bay to where something was shining. I picked it up. When I saw what it was I couldn’t believe my optics, it was the regenerator spark! I called for the others to retreat and took aim at a pile of energon bombs. I figured that they would take 20 seconds to explode. I fired. I called RUN and didn’t look back to see if I was obeyed. We made it to the ship and fled with the spark just before the back end of the Quintesson ship exploded in a great fireball. We received orders from Megatron to re-awaken Unicron, so we did, and then we came here. So here we are.”
“Wow…” said Thrust.
Back on Cybertron Jazz and Trailbreaker had joined the battle and were fighting Menasor!
“Let’s give him some rock n roll!” shouted Jazz and promptly blasted Menasor into his component parts, who were immediately immobilised.

PART 6

“Uh-oh, Jazz, we got company, DEVASTATOR!!”
“GUURAAHH!!!!” shouted Devastator, as he lurched towards Jazz and Trailbreaker, flinging a drone out of the way as he went.” ME KILL AUTOBOTS!!!!” and with that Devastator raised his solar energy rifle and blasted Trailbreaker with a 10,000 degree blast!
“NOOOOOOOO!!” cried Jazz, and he ran to where his fallen comrade lay. “Trailbreaker, speak to me!” he shouted in despair.
“Jazz…” Trailbreaker spluttered, “I’m leaving*cough*…now…remember*splutter*I am always with you…” the light faded from Trailbreaker’s eyes as his spark was extinguished.
“NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!”
Jazz’s cry of anguish pierced the Cybertronian air for miles around.
A few days after the Autobots had besieged the stronghold, and Trailbreaker was killed, a funeral pyre was taking place.
“Trailbreaker was a fine warrior” Optimus was saying “He was a true friend who cared and fought to the bitter end. He will always be remembered. Ironhide, if you will, please.” Ironhide came forwards with Trailbreaker’s scorched body and lay it on the pyre; the smoke curled skywards as Trailbreaker’s body lay burning.
Meanwhile, back on Char, the Decepticons were having a slight problem. Five Quintesson ships had come to reclaim the Regenerator Spark.
“We require our spark back. If you give us it now, we will leave, if you do not, we shall attack.”
“We shall never let you have it!” cried Shockwave
“Then you shall pay. ATTACK!”
The battle was pretty one sided, for no sooner had the Quintesson commander given the order to attack, Unicron had appeared from the dark side of the planet and crunched the ships in one ear-splitting crunch!
“Let’s get out of here!” cried Scourge “Before the entire Quintesson army arrives!”
As the Decepticons hurried back towards the ship, little did they know they were being followed by a stealthy Autobot, Punch.
“Prime, do you read me?” he was saying into his radio.
“Loud and clear Punch, continue.” Prime replied.
“I have discovered something that amazes even me, Unicron has been brought back to life by a thing called the Regenerator spark! He appears to be working with the Decepticons”
“I don’t believe it,” shouted Prime, “all these years of hard war and effort, and suddenly Unicron appears with the ability to crush Cybertron! He is working with the Decepticons you say, Punch?”
“Yes Prime, but I still do not believe what my optical sensors are telling me!”
“OK, Punch, where are you now?”
“I’m in the Decepticon ship’s cargo bay, we took off from Char about two minutes ago, after five Quintesson ships came to retrieve the Regenerator Spark. Unicron came from the other side of the planet and crushed them all in one hand!”
“This is bad,” Prime said,” if Unicron is indeed working with the Decepticons, he will not destroy Cybertron. Instead he will just rip Iacon off the face of the planet! We shall need more than an Autobot army; we shall need a planet-sized army if we are to defeat Unicron…or a planet! That’s it! Punch, is there any chance that you could steal this Regenerator Spark and sneak it to Iacon once you arrive back on Cybertron?”
“ I believe so Prime, after all I am your best spy.”
“Indeed Punch. Well then, it seems we have a plan, for now.”
A few hours later the Decepticon ship was landing in the stronghold, the Decepticons onboard oblivious to the fact that the stronghold had been taken over by Autobots. Almost as soon as the craft had touched down it was surrounded by Autobot drones.
“What is this?” shouted Shockwave,” the Autobots appear to have taken over! Dirge, Ramjet, Thrust, transform and take out these pests!” under the cover of the chaos that followed, a dark shape dropped from beneath the ship and made for the exit, escaping unseen. Once past the main gates, it transformed into a sleek hover racer and scooted away towards Iacon. As soon as Punch, for he was the dark shape, was out of sight, a drone called a retreat and they all fell back to run away.
“Heh heh,” said Thrust, “did ya see them run!”
!I say it was me who made em go,” shouted Ramjet.
“You!” cried Dirge, “You couldn’t harm an Insecticon, it was obviously me!”
“SHUT UP!” shouted Shockwave, “I don’t think it was any of you, if only I…the Regenerator Spark! Quick, Ramjet, look in the cargo bay and bring me the Regenerator Spark!” Ramjet obeyed but a couple of minutes later he cried: “It ain’t in here!”
“I knew it,” said Shockwave. “We had a stowaway on board! They stole the Spark! The Autobots must have it! We need a plan… Okay, here’s what we’ll do…”
At Autobot headquarters, Optimus Prime had called a meeting of all the Autobots: “As you all know,” he was saying, “The evil planet-eater Unicron has returned from the grave and is working with the Decepticons.” This caused a slight commotion over some of the younger Autobots who were not around when Unicron was at his full strength. “However, we do have one good point,”
“And what is that?” called out Jazz, who was still suffering from Trailbreaker’s death.
“We have that which brought Unicron back to life, the Regenerator Spark.”
“So, what can we do with that then?” piped up Red Alert.
“We can use it to bring back Primus!” said Optimus.
“Who’s Primus?” asked Wheelie.
“He is Cybertron. As Unicron is a planet and a robot, so is Cybertron. Primus is our only hope to defeat Unicron!”
“Then we must organise an expedition party right away!” shouted Hot Rod.
“Indeed,” said Optimus, “Red Alert, Sideswipe, Ironhide, Bulkhead, Jetfire, Cliffjumper, transform and roll out!” the sound of transforming Autobots and revving engines filled the base, as the expedition party left.
“Primus help them.” breathed Hot Rod as he watched them disappear over the horizon.
Meanwhile the Decepticons had arrived at Kaon, the Decepticon headquarters, and Unicron had turned into a planet and was awaiting orders from a solar system 1,567,240 miles from Cybertron. Megatron was angry: “YOU LOST IT! YOU LOST THE REGENERATOR SPARK! YOU FOOL STARSCREAM!”
“ I?” said Starscream, “Why it was Shockwave who was in command of the mission, not me, Lord Megatron.”
“Yes,” said Megatron, “But he retrieved the spark, did he not? You were in command of the return trip Starscream, not Shockwave. You know the price of failure Starscream.”
“No, Lord Megatron, please no.”
“You have failed me one time too many Starscream, and for that you must pay with your life!” Megatron lifted his arm with the fusion cannon, took aim at Starscream’s head and fired! From that range there was no way he could miss! But when the smoke cleared, Starscream was alive but somehow standing at the other side of the room. Skywarp was next to him.
“I couldn’t let you kill him Megatron,” Skywarp was saying, “For years now we have been thinking of how unfairly you treat us. I think it’s about time you handed in your resignation form Megatron!”
“No, never!” shouted Megatron, “You shall never overpower me!”
“Who said anything about me?” said Skywarp, “Turn around.”
Megatron turned around slowly. As he was turning he could see the other Decepticon’s hard set faces, even Soundwave appeared to be against him. When he had turned, he found himself looking up the barrel of Shockwave’s blaster arm!
“Goodbye, ‘Lord’ Megatron.” He said, and fired.
The Autobots were nearing a crevice.
“Autobots, transform.” said Optimus “We need to get down that crevice to reach Primus’ head.”
“Why don’t I just take you all down inside me?” asked Jetfire.
“A good point” replied Optimus “Jetfire, transform and take us down there.” Five minutes later Jetfire and the other Autobots were flying down the crevice at speeds approaching 10,000 miles per hour.
“Slow down Jetfire,” called Prime, “we’re nearly at the bottom.”
“Okay Optimus, I’ll let you out safely.” Jetfire landed thirty seconds later and the Autobots made for a small dark tunnel in the side of the cliff.
“Where are we headed?” asked Red Alert.
“Through that tunnel and into the chamber that holds Primus’ head.”
“Okay.” The Autobots got through the tunnel and found themselves in a chamber with walls that seemed to go up forever!
“Where is it?” asked Cliffjumper.
“I don’t know,” replied Optimus, “maybe…” he was cut off by a grating sound followed by stomping feet. A door had just opened and countless mechanical creatures like wolves came through, followed by large robots with no apparent head.
“What are they?” shouted Bulkhead.
“The creatures are Cheranian Launchers, and the robots are Centurion guards, hopefully if we don’t fire at them, they will recognise us as friendly and retreat.” said Optimus, but the creatures kept on coming and trapped them against a corner of the chamber! The Guards, however, retreated to the far wall.
The Launchers started firing at the Autobots and left them with no choice to fire, or be destroyed!
“Hey, what’s that Centurion Guard doing over there?” said Jetfire. The Guard appeared to be pulling a lever. Suddenly, all the Launchers fell over as if immobilised.
“Hey, what happened?” shouted Cliffjumper.
“I believe that Centurion Guard had the sudden initiative to pull that lever,” said Jetfire, “But why, I do not know.”
During the time they had been talking, Optimus had gone to the centre of the chamber and rested the Spark on the floor. Suddenly beams flew out of the Spark and a head began to slide down at the back of the chamber.
“Why have I been awakened?” asked Primus.
Shockwave’s blast filled the room with a deafening explosion and when everyone had recovered, the top half of Megatron had disintegrated and the bottom half fell limp to the floor.
“Megatron has been incinerated!” shouted Shockwave. A loud cheer rose from the Decepticons, even the Cassetticons, Soundwave’s helpers, had come out to join the cheering!
“Bow to your new leader!” cried Shockwave, and all the Decepticons willingly bowed. Except one, Octane.
“Why should we bow to him, he’s just like Megatron.”
This caused Shockwave to turn around.
“Maybe you want to join him then?” he said.
Back in the chamber Optimus was speaking: “You have been awakened to help us Autobots with a predicament beyond our powers.”
“And what may this predicament be?” asked Primus.
“Your evil brother, Unicron, has been awakened once more, you must transform and help us with this crisis!”
“I…I cannot.”
“What! But why, you have the strength of the regenerator spark!”
“Yes, but I need more. I need…the Certanian key.”
“But that has been lost for millennia!” cried Red Alert.
“Yes,” said Optimus, “But if we don’t find it, we’re all scrap! We must find it!”
