My Transformers Collection (With Many Pictures)

Postby kyle1214 » Sat Aug 30, 2014 2:17 pm

Motto: "Meh."
Weapon: Laser Sighted Lightning Rifle
I originally posted this on TFW, so I figured I'd let you guys see my collection as well. I may have gone a teensy bit overboard with pictures, but here goes nothing!

So I have a decent collection, but since I am selling part of it off, I figured it would be a good idea to document it in it's entirety.

I started collecting when I was a kid, starting with the Armada line mostly, and built on it from there. I know that as a Transformer collector I should have some G1 stuff, but I only have couple Masterpieces and a bunch of stuff from the past decade or so. I wish I could remember what figure was my first Transformer, but I've had so many over the years and I've been accumulating figures as far back as I can remember.

My collection consists mostly of the Unicron Trilogy figures and Movieverse figures, although I have a few Generations/Classics figures and a couple of Masterpiece figures.

I don't have a true display space, so they normally rest upon bookshelves and such, so I took them down and set up a whole bunch of white sheets of paper to create a large enough neutral background, although I didn't have enough space for some pictures haha.

I took these main pictures over the course of two days, starting with them in vehicle mode and taking various group shots, then transforming them all, which took FOR-FREAKING-EVER.. Ok not really, it only took about 2 hours, 1 minute, and 53.2 seconds, but who's counting.. Afterwards, I went about reassembling the teams I created in the first wave of pictures and posing them battling with various little flight stands I made from coat hangers.

I plan on taking individual photos over the coming week as well to showcase my separate figures.

The only figure I have missing from the pictures is Armada Unicron who is currently packaged up for shipping.

Without further ado, here is the work of 2 days and 236 pictures.

So, traditionally, I will start with my Optimus Primes.
Image

My custom YOTH Masterpiece Prime and trailer, Armada Optimus Prime and trailer, and Cybertron Galaxy Force Optimus Prime.
Image

Then the mini Optimus Prime from ROTF Stratosphere, my custom voyager Nemesis Prime (previously Fireburst OP), DOTM Ultimate OP and trailer, DOTM Jetwing OP with Reprolabels, and custom AOE Optimus Prime.
Image

Just the movie Primes.
Image

And the custom Age of Extinction Primes.
Image

And now all of their robot modes along with the various bases the trailers form.
Image

Image

Image

Just the movie Primes.
Image

Movie Prime super-modes and whatnot.
Image

Image

Image

My custom Nemesis Prime using DOTM Laserbeak as a wing pack.
Image

All of my Prime's super-modes.
Image

Image

While on the subject of super-modes, here are the various trailers I have.
Image

And here are the armors they form. Galaxy Force OP's jetpack and leg pieces, Armada Rollout's body Overload, Armada OP's power pants, and DOTM Ultimate OP's full body.
Image

A few of trailers of course form bases of sorts, and then there are figures who, in mid transformation, form turrets. I also include some of the things my little brother has come up with as well.
Image

ROTF Mixmaster and Generations Straxus in their turret forms.
Image

My brother's DOTM Shockwave as a tiny base.
Image

YOTH OP's custom trailer, Armada OP's trailer, Galaxy Force OP's trailer, Cybertron Scattorshot as an artillery emplacement in the front, and Energon Duststorm as a control tower of sorts.
Image

Also, I realized I have two Optimus's featuring darker colors and gold, the YOTH Masterpiece OP and Galaxy Force OP.
Image

Image

Image

The Goldimus Primes and their trailers.
Image

Up next are my Bumblebees and friends, the Legends Class Bumblebee, the Age of Extinction Evolutions 2-pack Bumblebees, High Octane Bumblebee, TFTM Cliffjumper, and Generations Goldfire.
Image

Image

Sadly I only have two Megatrons, an Armada junker and my custom Generations legends class one.
Image

And yes, Armada Megatron is missing his right arm.
Image

In addition, I also only have two Skywarps, which is a complete tragedy, the Masterpiece and the Fall of Cybertron.
Image

Image

And also only 3 Masterpieces, YOTH OP, the Walmart Skywarp (which I got clearanced for $15!), and the new ToysRUs Grimlock, who is currently in pieces to be repainted.
Image

Image

I have three emergency vehicles, Galaxy Force OP, Energon Inferno, and Movie Recon Barricade;
Image

Image

Three Cybertronian vehicles, FOC Skywarp and Blaster (with some lovely Reprolabels) along with DOTM Shockwave;
Image

Image

And I even have six guys who turn into shapes and other obsolete items, the FOC Autobot data disks and Movie Real-Gear Booster X10, which conveniently happens to look like Laserbeak, hmm..
Image

Image

I have plenty of military vehicles though!
Image

Robot modes:
Image

Legends Megs riding DOTM Laserbeak, because why not!
Image

Stratosphere taking on MP Skywarp, Scattorshot holding Generations Heavytread at many missiles-point, Straxus uppercutting Generations Sandstorm, Generations Whirl battling Generations Blitzwing, and Movie Dreadwing flying out of the way.
Image

My custom Age of Extinction Hound evening the playing field with Armada Megatron.
Image

Generations Springer fighting ROTF Starscream, and Movie Landmine tussling with Movie Bonecrusher.
Image

With that, I have a few tanks:
Image

Image

Ironically enough, the second smallest guy also happens to be the most heavily armed haha.
Image

I also have plenty of fliers, ones that fly horizontally, ones capable of vertical flight, and beasts. And yes, that is the Millenium Falcon in the corner haha.
Image

Image

Cybertron Jolt being chased by Genenerations Windshear:
Image

Energon Grindor being held up by Prime Beast Hunters Windrazor, who was stabbed by the blade arms of the Swoop minicon from the AOE Evolutions two-pack:
Image

FOC Sundor chasing Real-Gear not-Laserbeak:
Image

ROTF Starscream cornered by Springer and Sandstorm, who are in the sights of Laserbeak and Skywarp, and ROTF Ransack and Generations Runway ganging up on Energon Skyboom:
Image

Whirl being attacked by Energon Divebomb right before executing Blitzwing:
Image

Image

Classics Astrotrain taking aim of Springer with his rifle and Dreadwing flying away again because he is pretty useless without hands:
Image

For horizontal flight, I have MP and FOC Skywarp, Stratosphere, Starscream, Stratosphere, Dreadwing, Astrotrain, Ransack, Runway, and Skyboom.
Image

Of course of those figures, only one is an Autobot.
Image

For vertical flight, I have Whirl, Sandstorm, and Springer, along with Laserbeak, Grindor, Jolt, Windshear, and Generations Targetmaster Blazemaster.
Image

The Autobots' odds are much more favorable in this catergory!
Image

"Like some vast, predatory bird," I have my custom AOE Strafe, Sundor, Laserbeak, not-Laserbeak, Divebomb, Windrazor, and the Swoop minicon.
Image

In addition to the beast flyers, I also have FOC Grimlock, Ramhorn, and Steeljaw; Energon Deadlock and Battle Ravage; Cybertron Optimus Primal and Wreckloose; Prime Beast Hunters Hun-Gurr, Rippersnapper, Twinstrike, and Blight; my custom AOE leader and voyager Grimlocks, Slug, and Scorn; and finally my custom Generations Targetmaster Chopshop.
Image

Image

Grimlock battling Laserbeak and Steeljaw being bested by Rippersnapper with a hammer:
Image

My custom Strafe against Divebomb with a Springer sword:
Image

Not-Laserbeak chasing Sundor, blade-arm Swoop and Ramhorn pursuing Chopshop, who in turn are being followed by Twinstrike and Windrazor:
Image

Wreckloose having a bad day impaled upon Scorn's lance hand, and Blight and Hun-Gurr vowing revenge:
Image

AOE voyager Grimlock knocking aside Battle Ravage and AOE Slug battling Deadlock:
Image

Optimus Primal challenging AOE Leader Grimlock with his articulate fingers:
Image

My dinobots/cons: AOE Strafe, Scorn, Slug, and Grimlocks, FOC Grimlock, Swoop-icon, Wreckloose, and Deadlock.
Image

The dinos having dealt with the inferior dinocons:
Image

Just as destructive as dinobots are the Wreckers, Whirl, Sandstorm, and Springer.
Image

Of the three, both Springer and Sandstorm are sporting Reprolabels, and Whirl has a Wreckers Reprolabel on his left arm and on his alt mode.
Image

Image

And considering all of my Wreckers are triple-changers (Whirls Gerwalk is in the instructions, so it must be true! Haha), here are the others.
Image

Image

Image

While going through my collection I realized something, I have a bunch of Skids and Mudflaps. ROTF Skids and Mudflap (ice-cream truck), ROTF Skids and Mudflap (individual), Cybertron Mudflap, and Generations Skids, who is looking lovely in those Reprolabels.
Image

Image

Of course considering two sets of Skids and Mudflaps happen to be twins, I realized that the other Mudflap also has a twin, albeit much smaller, but a twin nonetheless, Energon Duststorm.
Image

Image

The only problem with having siblings is that they never stop fighting!
Image

Next up are the Constructicons. Of the original Constructicons, Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Scavenger, Mixmaster, Hook, and Long Haul, I have four, but they are movieverse figures, so they look nothing whatsoever like their namesakes. Except Long Haul. Bonecrusher isn't even a bulldozer, rather a Buffalo mine-clearing vehicle.
Image

Long Haul, Scavenger, Mixmaster, and Bonecrusher:
Image

Along with the Constructicons, I like to add in Cybertron Mudflap and Energon Duststorm to help fill out the ranks of Decepticon construction vehicles.
Image

Image

Next up will be the trucks. They include all of the Optimus's, AOE Hound, Cybertron Mudflap, Overhaul, Armorhide, and Reverb, Energon Inferno, and ROTF Wheelie.
Image

Image

Legends OP and my custom Evasion Mode OP.
Image

Armada OP and Overload along with DOTM Leader OP.
Image

My custom AOE Prime, Mudflap, MP Prime, Armorhide, Generations Targetmaster Roller, and Minimus Prime.
Image

Custom AOE Hound, DOTM Ultimate OP, Nemesis Prime, Reverb, and Duststorm.
Image

A closeup of Nemesis Prime:
Image

And finally my touched-up ROTF Wheelie and Galaxy Force OP.
Image

Here are my carformers, consisting of Cybertron Six-Speed and Crosswise; Classics Hot Rod; Movie Recon Barricade and Cliffjumper; touched-up ROTF Sideswipe, Skids, and Mudflap; custom AOE High Octane Bumblebee and Crosshairs; and Generations Drift, Skids, Goldfire Bumblebee, custom Cybertronian Bumblebee, and my custom Tailgate.
Image

Image

A high concentration of Bumblebees haha.
Image

Image

Image

I also have a few figures of the smaller scale size, mostly legends and mincons/targemasters.
Image

Image

The biggest problem with Targetmasters is that they only have arm poseability normally, but back in the day when Armada was around you could have a Minicon that functioned exactly like a Targetmaster but with reasonable poseability. Roller and Groundbuster are relegated to holding down Blight, and that's about it.
Image

Poor Armada Blackout, he can barely stand nonetheless fight..
Image

Yeah Armada Rollout is a little chunky, but he has FOUR MODES! Vehicle, robot, gun, and a head! Take that Targetmasters! And Headmasters!
Image

Bumblebee getting bludgeoned to death by Hun-Gurr and Rippersnapper's mighty hammers:
Image

Windshear can't seem to shake the feeling that someone is following her...
Image

Megatron threatens Optimus with killing Tailgate, meanwhile Chopshop gets punched in the face by Blazemaster.
Image

There are only a few reasons why Targetmasters, and the fact that they become GIANT FREAKIN' GUNS for legends class figures is one of them!
Image

Optimus gets a giant rifle out of Roller..
Image

And a giant BAZOOKA out of Rollout!
Image

Plus others don't mind that you have a bunch of little friends that double as weapons and/or shields.
Image

Another kind of awesome little guy is that of the combiner variety.
Image

They can transform from their alt mode to a robot, and combine to form..
Image

.... Maybe I'll leave them in their alt modes.. All of the time... Forever..
Image

Seeing as all of the movie figures share the same aesthetic, I'd ought to show them all together.
Image

Image

Image

Image

Everyone is so violent in the films!
Image

Bumblebee, though sporting a kick-butt alt mode is still ever the cocky twit, about to be murderized courtesy of Scorn.
Image

Optimus Truck-Fists going at it with Grimlock, the "Ancient Warrior."
Image

Barricade, though sporting a new paint-job, still loves to tackle Bumblebee, and thus his red repaint as well.
(Note, this was the worst thing ever trying to recreate balancing on 3 flight stands.)
Image

"'The Fallen will rise again' is not the answer.."
Image

Dorito-scream about to be taken down by Chromia, the anorexic upright robocycle.
Image

A DOTM-style Mexican Standoff, featuring Yet another Corvette and another weapons specialist vs. two more relatively useless characters.
Image

"I'm just going to take a little off the side.."
Image

"How in the world am I to ride you?.."
Image

The lankiest of planeformers against the stumpiest of Shockwaves
Image

"Mean robots suck.."
Image

Two of the most badass swords.. robots? fighting it out!
Image

A puppy dog/robot/dinosaur wielding swords against a non-character who's alt mode appeared in two scenes of the first movie, who also happens to have no real weapons and resorts to fisticuffs Mike Conley style, minus the mustache, because Landmine has a really messed up face, WHO WILL WIN?
Image

One of the first Seekers vs. two guys who form the front and the aft-end of an ice-cream truck.. yeah..
Image

If you've managed to make it down here good on you!

It's time for the factions, so to start out, here are the Autobots!
Image

Image

Image

Image

Note: I didn't include the AOE dinobots because they are "Ancient Warriors" and only fought for the Autobots in the film because Optimus backhanded a space T-rex in the middle of China.
Image

Robot modes:

And now the Decepticons!

And now for the big group shots!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

And the lines are drawn in the sand while the MP's shake over a cease fire, for now..
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

The Autobots:
Image

Image

Grimlock stands on the front lines, ready to bash some heads:
Image

Crosswise is armed with his flame thrower and riot shield while Skids is armed to the teeth, ready to take all of the Decepticons out.
Image

Hound stands ready for anything, tri-minigun at the ready.
Image

Wheelie hides behind the repair station and the dinobots while they ready for the battle ahead.
Image

Galaxy Force Optimus stands with his previous and future incarnations.
Image

Whirl easily falls in with some of the most brutal of the bunch.
Image

Image

Image

Image

The Decepticons:
