Profile: Nightbeat is Cybertron's greatest detective. Every case assigned to him, from the attempted murder of Optimus Prime to discovering the identity of the double agent Makeshift, has been solved within a month. He is incredibly fearless, willing to go to great lengths to solve a case, even if death is possible. He used to work alone, until he met his Titan Master partner Muzzle. Muzzle is a Titan Master from the colony world of Prion, where he worked as a detective, before his career was ruined by a rival detective. Once the Autobots arrived on Prion, he found a friend in Nightbeat, a fellow detective. When Muzzle heard that Nightbeat needed a partner for the Titan Master upgrade, Muzzle jumped at the opportunity. After undergoing the process, Muzzle quickly discovered that he and Nightbeat have one of the smoothest-working binary bonds among all the Headmasters. Muzzle's eye for detail makes Nightbeat an even better detective than he was without him.

Abilities: Nightbeat can utilize a cloaking machine to spy on potential suspects without being discovered He also has enhanced audio and video sensors that aid in his investigatory work. From five miles away, he can hear a screw fall and count the threads on it. Nightbeat's visor also has a scanner that can identify every element in a sample. In car mode he can travel at speeds of up to 620 miles per hour and has a range of 1500 miles.

Nightbeat does not have a holomatter avatar; rather, his Titan Master partner Muzzle projects an avatar around himself. Muzzle's holomatter avatar is a dark-haired white man, wearing a fedora, sunglasses, and a brown trenchcoat.

Weaknesses: Nightbeat is incredibly overconfident. He thinks he can do everything on his own, which often leads to injury.

Sample Post:
ARRIVAL: LOCH NESS, SCOTLAND. 00:00 HOURS (12:00 AM)
Nightbeat's escape pod splashed down in Loch Ness, nearly drowning a pair of fishermen who were out catching fish. As Nightbeat emerged from the pod, he noticed that the two fishermen were trapped under the boat. Not wanting to reveal his true form to them, he scanned a nearby skeleton of what appeared to be a saurian water creature, and using his new form's long neck, lifted the boat out of the water, allowing the fishermen to escape. Deeming his current form to be too crude, he waited until the humans were leaving, and scanned their Porsche 959. After he was out of earshot, he started his engine and rolled off.

First off, I would like to welcome you to the RPG! New blood is always welcome around here, and we hope you find our game enjoyable.

That being said, unfortunately, I'm going to have to deny this application in its current form. There are no Titan Masters, headmasters, targetmasters, powermasters, etc. in our game. There is also an already approved profile for Nightbeat which can be found here. I would highly recommend using it for this character. That way the only thing you have to worry about is writing up a sample post.

Speaking of your sample, I will say that it's well written. However, we require at least two to three paragraphs in order for us to get a good sense of your writing ability and whether you have a good grasp of the character that you're applying for. Also, Transformers in our game cannot scan a new alt mode like the bots in the Prime or RID shows. Our game is IDW comics based where they can only switch alt modes via a CR chamber or have someone like Wheeljack modify their bodies. Just FYI.

Furthermore, in order to help you get a better feel for how our game works, you can check out the RPG Rules and Guidelines and the Game History and Notes sections. Both provide useful information for new players. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM me or one of the other mods, and we'll be happy to help you out. :D

So, try switching to the pre-approved Nightbeat profile and write up a new sample post and then we'll have another look at your application. Good luck!

Nightbeat is apparently in Decepticon custody at the moment, and since that's not a situation I want to deal with, I've chosen a different character.

Blades

Allegiance: Autobot
Sub-group: Protectobots
Function: Air Support
Alt. mode: Bell UH-1Y Venom Helicopter
Weapons: Photon Pistol, Twin Armour Piercing “smart” Rocket Launchers, Rotor Blades
Height: 26 ft / 7.93 m

Profile: [FROM: Hot Spot, Protectobot Leader TO: Autobot High Command,
RE: Request Dismissal of Internal Affairs Investigation #455.43]
I don't believe the incident in question [Cross Reference: Emergency Request #455.43, Iacon District] requires any further review. Yes, Blades did act with lethal force, but I believe he did so only out of necessity and completely within the boundaries of his duty. As always, he performed his primary air support function well. At the moment in question, he saw that he had to act decisively to save the innocent mechanoids in the market area, so he did so. True, he did take the unorthodox route of eviscerating the targets with his rotor blades in hand-to-hand combat, but it's no secret that Blades prefers one-on-one confrontations to long-range air attacks. Since the situation didn't specifically call for aerial tactics, I see no reason why Blades should be punished for acting in this fashion. The fact that he finds attacking from a distance unsporting compared to his “street fighting” techniques has never interfered with him doing his job, and he's always been a hard-working, enthusiastic, and loyal trooper—I can't ask for anything more from him.

Abilities: Blades has above-average strength and somewhat above-average intelligence. He's very good at his job, but he'd always rather exercise his unconventional “street fighting” style than attack from above. It's been said that he'd rather use his rotors to slash opponents than fly, and I can't argue that. In helicopter mode, he travels at 400 mph for up to 1,200 miles. In both modes, he's armed with two launchers that fire “smart” rockets; these rockets seek their targets based on digitally encoded images that they can record on the battlefield. In robot mode, he wields a photon pistol that fires intense beams of light. Whenever possible, Blades detaches his rotors for use in hand-to-hand combat.

Holomatter Avatar: A handsome man of about twenty-five attired in full helicopter pilot uniform, red and white dominating the colour scheme. He exhibits a fair complexion, sprightly blue eyes, and wavy, though tousled, dark brown hair. His hands are covered in strips of sports tape, suggesting the young man is involved in the sport of boxing or, perhaps, a form of martial art.

Weaknesses: Strong winds greatly interfere with Blades' flight in helicopter mode. Because of the punishment he puts his rotors through, they're prone to chips and fractures that require frequent maintenance.

Sample Post: Where the slag is Hot Spot? Blades thought to himself. We've been standing here for an hour!
Blades and the rest of the Protectobots had been summoned by Jetfire to the Autobot Frigate Guardian’s Bounce Chamber. Jetfire was to take a team to visit the Trion, while the Protectobots were waiting for Hot Spot so they could teleport to the Ark-22.
*Blades turns to the other Protectobots* “Any of you guys heard from him? He better get here soon, I’m getting bored.”

Streetwise notices the things that others let slip by them and, more importantly, he remembers them. From maps to road signs to colloquial expressions, Streetwise notes everything he sees or hears for future reference. Thus he can drive through a city with intimate knowledge of its twists and turns after only a glance at a map and understand with ease what the locals are saying. During the Protectobots’ emergency rescue operations, Streetwise is often dispatched to track whatever Decepticon was responsible for the mess while the others focus on cleanup. His amazing eye for detail and adaptability make him an excellent and determined tracker, and his clever streak helps him stay a step ahead of what his prey is thinking. Invariably, when the Protectobots have regrouped to tackle the threat, Streetwise leads them right to their target.

Streetwise’s human avatar is an above average height male. He wears a standard police officer uniform, which changes slightly to fit wherever he happens to be at the moment. He has short, cropped black hair with a bit of five o’clock shadow. The avatar also has warm brown eyes. The facsimile almost looks like something out of a loose cannon cop action movie, which happens to be where Streetwise had drawn his inspiration from. Streetwise has named his avatar Hank Steel.

Abilities:

Subject has great intelligence, and he’s one of the most notable trackers of the Transformers. He’s equipped with receptors that can tap into computer systems and download available electronic information from local resources, allowing him to obtain maps, historical information, and other data for use while on the hunt. His ability to adapt and mesh with cultures is second only to Jazz.

In vehicle mode, he can travel at 180 mph for up to 400 miles at a time. Subject can deploy a trunk-mounted double-barreled air compressor cannon that has enough power to knock an airborne Decepticon out of the sky at a distance of 50 miles. He carries a photon pistol that can be set to fire destructive light beams or bright flashes that can disable optic sensors. He joins with the Protectobots to form Defensor.

Weaknesses:

Subject often ignores the need to refuel when deeply involved in a tracking mission, which can lead him to run out of power in the middle of the hunt. The ceaseless way he pushes himself while hunting his targets can cause him to overheat.

Sample Post:

"Blades, as far as I know, Hot Spot is off on some recon mission or something," said Streetwise. He felt a feeling he was used to in his abdominal region that he was not used to feeling. He figured it was impatience getting the best of him.

"I hope they show up soon. This has got to be very important for us to have gotten called from our important work to be sitting in a room waiting. I have a gut feeling however that it might be more to it than just a simple talk."

Streetwise got up off of the bench he was sitting on and paced back and forth in an almost hypnotizing manner for the other Protectobots, as he contemplated a few things he had kept in the back of his mind while working on other things before coming here.

"I seem to recall some talking about some experiment with the Arielbots. I can only guess that it is related to this new combiner technology... or old technology, depending on how you look at it."

Streetwise rested his hand on one of the walls with his legs crossed to avoid making his team-mates complain about him making them dizzy with his circular pacing motion.

Warpath

Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Warrior
Alt. mode: General Motors M551A1 Sheridan ARAAV tank
Weapons: Chest-mounted Cannon
Height: 30 ft/9.14 m

Holomatter Avatar: An army major in his early 60's wearing full uniform with grey hair and a mustache. If necessary there are three young soldiers to act as the tank crew (driver, gunner and loader), though they do little more than operate the tank and acknowledge the major's orders with "Yes, sir!"

Profile:
Even without the deafening roar of his cannon, Warpath always makes his presense known. The rampunctious warrior entertains all of his comrades with his off-color jokes delivered in his distinctively theatrical manner of speech. Of course, most of Warpath's monologues are about what an excellent warrior and marksman he is, but his good-natured attitude helps his friends overlook his tendency to brag. Warpath takes pride in his abilities and especially his main weapon- he's extremely proud and protective of his tank barrel.

Abilities:
Subject has tremendous strength and endurance. He is a skilled warrior and an expert sharpshooter capable of hitting a 5 mm object at a distance of 1.5 mile. In tank mode he can traverse even the most difficult terrain at a maximum speed of 30 mph. His tank cannon, also useable in his robot mode, can fire a variety of shells that include acid, sonic charges, incendiary, explosive, cryogenic, and more.

Weaknesses:
Subject's vanity about his gun barrel can leave him depressed if is suffers even a scratch or dent. If upended in tank mode, he can only right himself by revertring to robot mode.

Here's my post for Warpath :

The loud screams of jet thrusters fill up the air as Starscream flies down to the ground towards Warpath, who is in tank mode, as Starscream begins to fire his laser guns rapidly at the Autobot.
"Prepare to join the Allspark Warpath!"
Warpath quickly transforms to robot mode and evades all but one of Starscream's lasers, Warpath then rolls forward, taking cover behind a rock as Starscream turns around ready for another attack on Warpath.
"A scratch! A scratch on my barrel! Oh-you've had it now Starscream! " shouts Warpath in anger.
Starscream returns for another attack, this time with the aid of Thundercracker and Skywarp by his side as they each begin to fire rockets without mercy at Warpath. Warpath is heard grunting in agony as each missile hits him.
"You're too slow Autobot!" Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp transform and begin to surround Warpath, slowly getting closer towards him".
"I may not be the fastest bot, but I am one of the toughest!" Warpath says as he begins to anticipate the Decepticons next move.

Starscream charges towards Warpath to try to take him down, but Warpath dodges Starscream's attack and sweep kicks Starscream taking him down to the ground as Thundercracker throws a Jab and Cross to Warpath. Warpath parry's both punches and then does a right Uppercut to Thundercracker's chin.
With Thundercracker now dazed and Starscream getting up and recovering, Skywarp sneaks up behind Warpath and grabs him into a headlock. "Get him guys!"
Starscream goes to try and punch Warpath while he is currently apprehended by Skywarp.
"No way!" shouts Warpath, as Warpath gets out of Skywarp's headlock by twisting his right arm around and kicking him making a massive dent in Skywarps lower right side. "Take your best shot cons'! I'm ready for anyth-!" Starscream superman punches Warpath in the face sending Warpath back 4 meters.
Starscream with ego, walks towards Warpath "I'm sorry, you were saying?"
Warpath shakes his head from Starscream's punch "I was gonna say this-KBLAAMM!" Warpath shoots his tank cannon at Starscream's chest knocking him unconscious. "Like I said, I may not be the fasted bot, but I AM one of the toughest!"

Thundercracker and Skywarp get back up look at Starscream's unconscious body and instantly change form and retreat as Warpath walks forward, past Starscream's body and transforms to tank mode aiming his barrel at Thundercracker and Skywarp while they're flying away at top speed. "Let's see how great my aim really is shall we?" Warpath slightly adjusts the position of his barrel and loads a shell into his cannon as he fires. Warpath, already pleased says "Wait for it..."
Then a loud cry and jet parts crashing to the ground instantly fills Warpath with ego. "Now that was a good shot!"
Starscream's body and the surroundings suddenly disappears to reveal a metal covered room as Optimus approaches Warpath. "Good work Warpath, you keep training like this in our simulation and Megatron and this war will hopefully be over soon"
"Funny how the simulation Starscream has more courage than the REAL Starscream, HAHA!" claims Warpath.
Optimus pats Warpath on the shoulder "This training simulation isn't real though, Warpath, remember that...The real fights will be much harder, but I have confidence in you Warpath. We Autobots will fight to protect this universe. Go Warpath, refuel your energon levels."
Optimus Prime begins to slowly walk away, then stops. "Oh, and I noticed you have a scratch on your barrel, you might want to buff that out" Optimus walks away out of the room.
"Oh-yeah, I'll get right on that" says Warpath, slightly embarrassed Optimus saw the scratch.

Okay, Blades' profile, itself, is a pre-existing one, so you're good to go there. However, your sample post is still not long enough. Sample posts, especially for new players, should be at least three paragraphs with 2 to 4 sentences each paragraph. By the looks of things, you've got two paragraphs so far. Just add one more paragraph and I'll take another look at it.

Also, hit enter twice between paragraphs. It makes reading them easier. :D

Approved. You can start him in the bounce chamber on the Guardian with the other Protectobots. However, I see that your sample is in response to the Blades sample above. Since I have not yet approved that app, you'll either have to come up with another first post for Streetwise or just wait until the Blades app is approved.

Regardless, have fun with the cop-former! :D

Added an extra paragragh:

Where the slag is Hot Spot?, Blades thought to himself.

Now that I think about it, why are we going to the Ark-22 to meet with the Aerialbots in the first place?, he mused. Maybe it has something to do with that combination technology Jetfire and his techheads were talking about. If we're going to become a combiner, what will they call it? Hope it's not something stupid.

I'd like this lady please. Also, do look at the Warpath application when you get a chance, Smokey. :)

EDIT: Included a sample post.

Velocity

Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Medical Officer
Alternate Modes: Camien Racer
Weapons: Blaster Pistol
Height: 27ft/ 8.23m
Quote: “However difficult it gets, I have no regrets.”

Strength: 5
Intelligence: 8
Dexterity: 7
Speed: 7
Endurance: 6
Courage: 6
Firepower: 4
Accuracy: 5
Melee: 6
Tech Skill: 8
Charisma: 9
Rank: 6

Profile: Born on Caminus, Velocity joined the Autobots after much encouragement from her long-time friend Firestar to give her a place to properly work on her medical skills. She belonged to a sorority with Firestar and Nautica. Due to the Camien culture’s focus on performing arts as worthy, Velocity believed that her medical studies were not quite as worthwhile. Added onto that was the fact that Velocity was never very good at her exams. She did, however, finally pass them after ten goes.

Fairly new to the whole “universal adventuring” thing and the whole war with the Decepticons, Velocity remains ready to use her skills to help her newfound Autobot allies. Despite her general inexperience, she’s enthusiastic, skilled, has the right bedside manner, and learning on the job fast. However difficult her quests get, she has no regrets.

Abilities: As a newly appointed medical officer, Velocity’s skills are currently far from what they could be, but she is still more than capable of tending to her patients with all the expertise and focus that she has at her disposal. She’s intelligent and caring, allowing her to have a quality bedside manner as she tends to those under her care.

In her alternate mode, Velocity is fairly swift, reaching speeds up to 249 mph, matching the speeds of some of the Cybertronian racers. While also agile in addition to swift, Velocity lacks many combat oriented skills. She is equipped with a small blaster pistol more meant for her own self-defense than any actual combat. Despite this, she is not afraid to use it and her skills to aid her fellow Autobots in battle.

Weaknesses: Velocity is not particularly well suited to combat, preferring to help her comrades after the fighting is done than get in the way while it’s going on.

Sample Post:
Medical Bay

Velocity was milling about the medical bay, doing what she could to tend the injured patients. Ratchet had gone off and disappeared. She was sure one of the other medics would know where he was. He was likely doing something important and didn’t need distractions anyhow. She finished patching up her current patient with a soft sigh and a warm smile, patting them on the shoulder lightly.

“All done. Just take it easy for a while.”

Wiping her hands clean of energon with a cleaning cloth, Velocity stood straight and surveyed the medical bay with a gentle huff. Where to next? Her amber optics caught sight of a Hardhead on the floor. She made her way over briskly to him, but some others beat her to the punch. Others being Hot Rod, the recently possessed, Blurr, the recently diseased, and some other bot whose name she couldn’t remember off of the top of her head.

Hardhead, what’s going on? Are you alright?” Velocity asked, concern clear in her tone and body language. Her gaze shifted to Hot Rod. “I didn’t know you were awake already, Hot Rod. Has anyone given you an examination? What about you, Hardhead?”

I'm being unoriginal and using an already approved sample for Cutthroat if that's fine to do -- which I hope it is.

Cutthroat

Allegiance: Decepticons
Sub-group: Terrorcons
Function: Shock Trooper
Alternate Modes: Vulture Monster
Weapons: A double-barreled magnetizer rifle, Flamethrower
Special Abilities: Unknown or none
Height: 31ft/ 9,46m

Profile: [Intelligence Report C121733: Punch, Autobot Undercover Agent] Let me be perfectly clear here. Subject T103, aka Cutthroat is beyond redemption. I recommend this monster to be shot on sight. With not a trace of mercy to be found among his microchips, Cutthroat, not surprisingly, enjoys a reputation for mindless savagery and excessive destruction. He is as emotionally filthy as Blot is physically. The subject's antics even shock some of his fellow Decepticons in their extremeness. His preferred fighting style is lashing out with wings, beak and claws until he's reduced his adversary to metal ribbons. Though many of his allies privately bemoan the energy wasted in Cutthroat's lethal zeal, none has had the courage to attempt to talk to him about it. They know that if they antagonize Cutthroat, he might just as soon turn his insatiable lust for destruction on them as on the Autobots. The subject preys on signs of weakness and shows no mercy in his cruel words. Too often only Hun-Grrr's presence keeps this murderous mechanoid from tearing his own allies apart.

Abilities: Subject possesses great strength and even more impressive physical endurance. In creature mode, the subject can leap up to four miles and, if he catches the right breeze, has been known to glide for considerable distances. Less known is the fact that the subject is actually equipped with engines he can use to propel him even to speeds of 1200 mph. The subject hardly ever utilizes his engines as it removes the advantage of approaching his victims silently - for Cutthroat despises nothing as much as a fair fight. Like all the other Terrorcons, the subject is equipped with a flamethrower inside his mouth. His beak, wings and claws can slice through all but a few rare metal alloys. In robot mode, the subject carries a double-barreled magnetizer, which charges any metal target it hits with powerful, opposite magnetic fields so that the target literally tears itself apart.

Weaknesses: Subject often recklessly uses his difficult-to-control leaping and gliding abilities, and consequently, often ends up in situations where he does not have the advantage. His excessive use of force often leaves him depleted of energy and vulnerable to attack, however even in these situations the subject is extremely dangerous to approach. While attacking, he destroys everything around him, including Decepticon facilities. Known to attack fellow Decepticons during an intense battle, usually leaving them badly injured.

Sample Post:

The stream of curses pouring from Cutthroat's vocaliser almost equalled the energon cascading from the wounds he was inflicting on the Autobots. Removal of limbs. Disembowelling strikes. Decapitations. Cutthroat alternated between his lethal options, taloned servos thrashing about in a blur of unrelenting fury.

He was the storm and the elements that augmented its power – a physical tempest composed of cold metal and a burning rage. Like leaves flying through the air at the mercy of a vicious wind, the Terrorcon's berserk blows launched body parts about him as Cutthroat's attacks cleaved and tore through the group of Autobots.

An arm, severed at the elbow articulation point, spun over his shoulder joint, showering him in fluids and oil. A leg, decorated with splits and gashes, skidded past his own. Even a pair of cracked optical lenses found themselves evicted from their residency and crushed under the Terrorcon's feet mercilessly.

While the shock trooper was thrilled with the carnage he was producing – the horror of mass amputations carried out by a psychotic surgeon – he was more thrilled by their fragility. They were cut down easily, their armour plating submitting willingly to the swift descent of his claws. It brought a grin to his psychotic features.

Their weaknesses caused him to chuckle.

Then laugh.

Then cackle.

Cutthroat roared at the Autobots – at those who remained, anyway. “You pieces of scrap! This is it? This is the best you can do? Hopeless. Useless. Worthless.” The Terrorcon smashed a balled fist into an unfortunate Autobot's face. “Worthless!

Die. Die. Die.

The command erupted within his mind instantly. His logical cogitator demanded no less. With the Autobots before him, the solution presented to Cutthroat was obvious and had been stalking the confines of his central processor the moment the Autobots entered his field of vision. Still . . .

Die. Die. Die.

. . . it invaded his thoughts and took over, speaking irresistible words the Terrorcon could not ignore.

Snarling, he kicked an Autobot's legs out from underneath him. As he crashed to the ground, the Terrorcon slammed his foot on the Autobot's chest plate, pinning the wretch to where he had fallen. Splaying the talons on a servo, he thrust them into the Autobot's torso, extracting a moan that caressed his audio receptors and made him grin again.

“Time to die, little mech!” he shouted.

Die.

Cutthroat knew he was dreaming. His dreams often contained the same characteristics: fuelshed, evisceration and death. As he returned to a conscious state, he found all the usual things waiting for him. His quarters. And disappointment.

Rising from his berth, the Terrorcon flexed his razor-edged digits, imagining they were stiff and sore from mangling, and crushing, and slashing, and slicing. A growl slipped through his clenched fangs.

>>“Cutthroat,”<< Hun-Grrr said over the Terrorcons' unit channel. >>“Get rrrrready. Garrus-9 approaches.”<<

His leader closed the channel. Hun-Grrr didn't need an acknowledgement from Cutthroat to confirm he had received his order. He knew that his subordinate had.

Garrus-9. Finally.

For the first time since LV-117, the shock trooper felt his anger and frustration abate slightly. With so much carnage to be enjoyed only a mere few cycles away, Cutthroat allowed himself to smile and indulge in the fantasies that had been harassing him since visiting LV-117.

Those fantasies, as he entertained them, merged into a single idea. An intent. An obsession.

He was going to unleash hell on Garrus-9.

This is a pretty good first app. Nicely done. I want to approve it, but the only thing keeping me from doing so is the format of your sample post. Don't get me wrong, it's not badly written. It's just that you appear to have three very large, what I would call, run-on paragraphs that makes your sample hard to read. I think you're trying to create smaller paragraphs, but you're only hitting enter once and thus not leaving a blank line in between. For instance, taking your first big paragraph, it should look like how I reformatted it below:

The loud screams of jet thrusters fill up the air as Starscream flies down to the ground towards Warpath, who is in tank mode, as Starscream begins to fire his laser guns rapidly at the Autobot. "Prepare to join the Allspark Warpath!"

Warpath quickly transforms to robot mode and evades all but one of Starscream's lasers, Warpath then rolls forward, taking cover behind a rock as Starscream turns around ready for another attack on Warpath.

See the difference? I didn't change any of the wording. I just hit enter twice each time I wanted to add a blank line in order to help separate paragraphs. That looks much better and it's easier for others to read. Now, you can use what I did to your first paragraph above, but then do the same thing to the rest of your sample post, as well. Then I'll take another look at it. If you have any questions regarding what I'm talking about or if you want to run your changes by me first before posting again, just PM me. :D

Hardhead, what’s going on? Are you alright?” Velocity asked, concern clear in her tone and body language. Her gaze shifted to Hot Rod. “I didn’t know you were awake already, Hot Rod. Has anyone given you an examination? What about you, Hardhead?”

Looks good. Approved. Have fun with her!

Approved. Glad to see you back. You last posted for Cutthroat back on Feb. 7 in the Garrus-9 Amphitheater in the Convergence thread. That's where he should still be with the rest of the Terrorcons. Enjoy!

Rosanna

Allegiance: Autobots
Alt. Mode: MP3 player
Weapons: Sound-Wave Blaster (transforms into hand-held microphone)
Height: 2m/6.56168ft
Quote: “Songs can cause or end wars, hun."

Strength: 06

PROFILE: Rosanna is a former Cybertronian pop-star singer-songwriter who loved doing what she did. However, as war began to eat Cybertron, she decided to at first endorse the Autobots as more of a political siding. But later, her endorsement lead to much danger for her since she was such a public figure. As a result, her once peaceful endorsement turned into something that would put her on the already huge Decepticon hit list. So, obviously, she chose to join the Autobots.

The end of Rosanna’s singing career was a very hard thing for her, and is still a sore subject for her. However, she still has hope that when the war ends, she can be the first to return to performing and give Cybertronian youngsters someone to look up to for inspiration; or at least when Cybertron’s rebuilt that is. Rosanna lets that hope lead her, and as a result she still loves to sing and song-write in her free time. She has been heard saying, “When this war is over, I’ll turn all my songs written during this time of war into one giant album as a celebratory love-letter to Cybertronians everywhere.”

Rosanna is the newest member of Blaster's team of cassettobots and is good friends with Eject.

ABILITIES:
Although an odd ability, Rosanna does have a library of millions of sound effects that she can use to fool anyone who is threatening. From birds chirping to gunshots, and from blowing wind to explosions, she has pretty much any sound imaginable.

To go with her first ability, she also has amazingly high-quality surround-sound speakers attached to her, that she can use to point sound in any direction for distractions, or just cool show effects.

Rosanna can scramble, decode, and intercept transmissions and signals. These abilities however are something that she learned from hanging around Eject, and took on a similar ability.

Rosanna wields a sound-wave blaster which uses highly sensitive speakers that concentrate loud sound-waves to a single point, as if it were a sound-based laser. The strength and blast radius can be set to the operator’s choosing. This weapon does not require reloading, however it does require battery charge. This weapon’s blast also is nearly silent and invisible to anyone surrounding, except if you are the one getting blasted in the face. This weapon is very painful, stunning, and at the right setting, is also very deadly. This gun also can transform into a hand-held microphone which she often uses when in a suitable place.

WEAKNESSES:
Rosanna is not a fighter, and often resorts to hiding and humming very quietly to herself to try and keep calm.

Rosanna’s Sound-Wave Blaster is, although useful, if the volume is set too high, it can damage itself and/or the operator.

Rosanna’s light pink color stands out very well in combat zones, and can make her a very easy target.

Sample Post:

Autobot Frigate Guardian

Med Bay:

Rosanna woke up in a CR chamber like many others in the room. However unlike the others, she had waited a bit before her little nap for a chamber to open, so as a result, she remembered clearly what happened. She was not badly damaged before entering the medical bay so, she was not knocked out either.

She got up out of the chamber and stretched her arms before standing with obviously a bit better posture than many a bot who had woken up out of their CR chambers and were falling over out of dizziness.

Rose looked around after yawning, and then looked at a clock that she had just looked at before getting in the CR chamber, “Ehh been about 11 Kliks since I entered I’d say. Not bad at all.”

Rosanna stretched out her legs a bit and cracked a few of her knuckles that were feeling uncomfortable before a certain blue and orange car-bot spotted her with a surprised look on his face...

Appearence: Windblade is a young, black and red femme with a slight frame, the only parts protruding about her being the wings that sprout from her back in an almost angelic manner. The wings, ducted fans held within, flex with Windblade’s mood, shooting upward when she is alert, downward when she’s sad and so on. Her face is marked with traditional Camien paint, down to the red ornamental paint beneath her sky blue optics. Her cranial unit and face have an Oriental appearance, down to a large, golden, comb-like tiara. Her Energy Vibration Sword is always sheathed at her side, not far from reach.

Profile: Windblade is a bit different from other Cybertronians. She’s from another, more civilized colony named “Caminus”. Caminus was a colony built atop a Metrotitan of the same name, one that Windblade spoke to regularly and had grown quite cordial with. Her duties on Caminus were that of a political one, speaking for the titan that comprised their colony. She communicated to their leader, the Mistress of Flame, Caminus’ energy needs, his need for clean streets, even his desire for holidays. She spoke with Caminus so much so that she began to treat the titan’s language as her preferred language, making her speak with somewhat of an accent when returning to the common tongue. Learning and speaking the language of the Metrotitans was easy, and it gave the gentle giants voices where they had none before.

Windblade is a cultured individual, though not wholly as religious as her peers. For instance, her peers see the Primes as religious figures instead of military leaders, and they worship Caminus instead of Primus. The Cityspeaker had become more of an agnostic after speaking to Caminus, however – it can be quite the sobering experience when you expect to find a god but instead find a quirky, lonely city.

Her morals drive her, and she values truth and justice in very high regard. She abides by them with such high conviction that she is often put at odds by the way the world is, much to her dismay. This lends itself to how she can be quite naïve. Craftier mechs use this to their advantage often, though afterwards they may find a fury that Hell hath no comparison.

Abilities: Being a VTOL, Windblade can take off from a complete standstill, and even hover in place in jet mode. Reaching speeds of Mach 2, the Cityspeaker is an adept pilot, though doesn’t care much for dogfighting even with her moderately powerful laser cannons. In robot mode, however, her lack of ranged combat strength makes her usefulness on the front lines limited, making it far easier to transform and use her speed to close the distance before reverting to robot mode and striking with her blades.

Her true combat strength come in her swordsmanship, where she can easily hold her own against some of the best. But skills mean nothing without the proper tools. Her weapon of choice is the Energy Vibration Blade; an Energon Sword with a twist. It resonates at a high frequency, brushing aside particles and severing the bonds between atoms as it passes through objects, leaving melted, perfectly sliced metal in its wake.

She can form psychic links with Metrotitans, and she has learned their ancient language thanks to the best tutors in the galaxy – the Titans themselves.

Weaknesses: Though she is quite intelligent, she can be somewhat naïve and overly optimistic about the ways of the universe. She is often rudely awakened about particular mechs, but she remains fervent in her convictions regardless of past transgressions. Windblade can also be somewhat awkward in conversations from time to time, especially when she won’t even tell white lies. She’s also quite close-range in combat, only having ranged abilities in her robot mode.

Sample:

Caminus – Caminus’ Brain Chamber

Incense burned at Windblade’s tucked legs as she sat, filling the air with a fragrance of mixed spices. It was pleasant to her, and it was pleasant to the Titan of whom she was speaking. The incense was used primarily for religious purposes, but the youthful Windblade liked them primarily because of their tickling aroma.

Her legs were tucked beneath her as she sat, optics closed and hands placed on her knees. She wasn’t moving in the slightest; even her face was expressionless. To a common onlooker, Windblade would have appeared to be meditating or perhaps praying. But it was quite the contrary – she was actually in a wondrously lively telepathic conversation with Caminus, whose giant, golden spherical brain resided before her.

What happened then?” the young femme asked the Metrotitan in his own tongue. They had finished that day’s business, but Windblade had remained, speaking with her friend.

The speed of the comet knocked me down, as you could imagine. Metroplex regarded me as I sat upon Cybertron’s second moon, comet in-hand. After a moment, he raised his hands forward and said to me, ‘I’m open’.” Caminus responded with a laugh.

For the first time in several minutes, Windblade keeled forward and her face contorted into one that was stifling a laugh. From the stories that she heard, it appeared that the normally stoic Metroplex was actually quite the joker.

But just as soon as she laughed, they both fell silent, as if a dark cloud had befallen the room.

Windblade,” Caminus began, “How are politics treating you?

She could tell that Caminus wasn’t just asking to be polite.

I like it. I enjoy helping people and helping society move forward. Why do you ask?

You realize that not everyone has society’s best interests at heart, yes?

I know Caminus. But it’s not all that you make it out to be. Most everyone here wants to help society in their own way.

There are others who are evil.

I don’t believe in evil. Some people are just misguided, is all.

Your naïveté is endearing but worrisome.” Caminus replied sternly, “I fear that your political career may open your eyes to things you don’t want to see.

Windblade had had quite enough. It wasn’t enough for her bodyguard to prod her to be more careful with who she trusts, but now Caminus was doing it, too. She knew that he meant well, but it was annoying to hear that one was naïve more than once a day. The Cityspeaker sighed in response and adjusted her seated stance.

I appreciate your concern, but I can handle myself.” the youthful woman replied, slightly annoyed.

Suddenly, Windblade’s wrist suddenly beeped at her. Opening her optics, she looked down to her right hand’s wrist. There was a hologram notification about having to meet with the council to give a briefing on Caminus’ needs and desires. He wanted not, as per usual, but he was still concerned with the excessive littering. The thing was, the meeting was supposed to start three breems ago.

“Scrap, I’m late!” the Cityspeaker exclaimed in common tongue, standing from her seated position, knocking the incense over and spilling the ashes, prompting her to finish in Titanspeak, “Sorry! I have to go! I’ll have to clean this later – the council is going to be so upset!

Caminus let out a few loud rumbles and beeps, something that was easily identified as Titanspeak, “Do not worry – I will wait until your return.

The youthful femme turned and was about to leave when suddenly, Caminus spoke again. She didn’t have to do too much translating to understand his warning.

You may not believe in evil, Windblade, but rest assured, evil believes in you.

Okay, everything looks good here. Consider her approved. Post her up in the Autobot profiles section and be sure to make a new entry in the Roll Call. Welcome back and have fun! :D

"Prepare to join the Allspark Warpath!" shouts Starscream.
"You're too slow Autobot!" shouts Starscream. Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp quickly transform and begin to surround Warpath, slowly getting closer towards him".
Warpath parry's both of Thundercracker's punches and then does a right Uppercut to Thundercracker's chin. With Thundercracker now dazed and Starscream getting up and recovering, Skywarp sneaks up behind Warpath and grabs him into a headlock.
"Get him guys!" shouts Skywarp as he struggles each second longer to keep Warpath in his headlock. Starscream goes to try and punch Warpath while he is currently apprehended by Skywarp.
"No way!" shouts Warpath. Warpath gets out of Skywarp's headlock by twisting his right arm around and kicking him making a massive dent in Skywarps lower right side.
"Take your best shot cons'! I'm ready for anyth-!"
Starscream superman punches Warpath in the face sending Warpath back 4 meters. Starscream with ego, walks towards Warpath
"I'm sorry, you were saying?"
"Let's see how great my aim really is shall we?" says Warpath with confidence. Warpath slightly adjusts the position of his barrel and loads a shell into his cannon as he fires. Warpath, already pleased says "Wait for it..." Then a loud cry and jet parts crashing to the ground instantly fills Warpath with ego.
Optimus pats Warpath on the shoulder. "This training simulation isn't real though, Warpath, remember that...The real fights will be much harder, but I have confidence in you Warpath. We Autobots will fight to protect this universe. Go Warpath, recharge your energon levels." Optimus Prime begins to slowly walk away, then stops. "Oh, and I noticed you have a scratch on your barrel, you might want to buff that out" Optimus walks away out of the room.
"Oh-yeah, I'll get right on that" says Warpath, slightly embarrassed Optimus saw the scratch.

Profile: Hook considers his fellow Decepticons to be crude, simple-minded, or otherwise flawed. The only other Constructicon that Hook secretly respects is Scrapper, whose skills rival his own. Other than that, Hook’s snobbish ways aren’t just for show, he really has no time for those whom he considers unprofessional and unskilled. Hooks perfectionism is legendary; he puts as much slow, agonizing effort into painting a detail onto a building as he shows when performing a delicate operation on a comrade. The fact that other Decepticons can’t argue with his impressive skills only serves to make Hook even more unpopular among them.

Abilities: Subject is skilled in all forms of construction technology, with a specialization in Transformer physiology and surgery. He is very strong. In vehicle mode, his crane can lift over 20 tons. It positions objects with an error level lower than .00001%. He carries a rocket launcher in vehicular mode and a laser pistol in robot mode.

Weaknesses: Subject’s quest for perfection makes him take too long on trivial tasks, which delays projects or even puts him at risk on the battlefield.

Sea of Change; Battle With Dinobots near Undersea Base:

Thank Primus for Longhaul. Hook was given just the exact right amount of time to get his hind parts off the sea floor and get behind some cover.

>>Scrapper, I heard what Bonecrusher said! This is most certainly a distraction of a sort. They simply would not just attack us from one direction! Even for Dinobots, that would be an entirely idiotic plan of attack. This is an obvious act of attempted siege! I am wondering the same question as Bonecrusher about abandoning the base, however I think more urgent matters are to dealt with right now. Such as, RIDDING OURSELVES OF THESE IMBECILES!<<

Hook obviously was not the bravest of his team, but the smartest of the ones out currently in the battlefield. He figured that using his laser blaster to draw more attention to himself was a bad idea. Letting the fighters do the dirtier stuff while Hook communicate plans with Scrapper was a much wiser choice of action for the Constructicon genius.

>>So Scrapper, do we combine like the Autobots expect us to, or try something unexpected to hopefully expose a vulnerability of theirs?<<

We're gonna hold on this application for a bit. I'm not opposed to handing over Hook at some point, but we have some questions about character knowledge vs player knowledge from that sample post and I want to see if it just resolves itself as the scene progresses. If you'd like a different character, feel free to apply. If it's Hook you really want, it's going to just be a matter of putting it on pause.

I’m afraid I’m going to have to deny this. Again the sample’s structure is the problem. Before you had three big run-on paragraphs that made it hard to read. Now, you have one giant run-on paragraph which is even harder to read. You literally just re-posted what you had before and didn’t change the format at all except to take out the only two blank lines that were originally there. I showed you how to re-format the first part of your sample post in my last response. All you had to do was use my example and then do the same thing to the rest of your sample.

I’m not sure if you’re writing on a laptop or phone or tablet and not able to see that you’re not leaving blank lines between paragraphs, but everything looks run-on on this end. You should always hit the enter key twice after each paragraph or when you change from one character’s dialogue to another character speaking. At the end of your sample you have Prime and Warpath talking back and forth, but you have it run together, sometimes even on one line. Now, here is an example of how dialogue between two characters should look:

“I want you to be on the look-out for Decepticons,” Optimus ordered.

“You got it, sir!” Warpath replied, giving his commander a respectful salute.

See? When you change to a different character speaking you hit the enter key twice and start a new paragraph. You don’t seem to be doing that in your sample. At least, you don’t at the end.

So, go back to the example I gave you in my last response and take a hard look at how I formatted things. Then apply that to your entire sample post, hitting the enter key twice when a new paragraph is needed. You might also want to take a look at other player's applications that made it through to see how they structured their sample posts. Once you make the changes needed I’ll take another look at it.

Name: Sidetrack
Allegiance: Autobots (Former Descepticon)
Function: Foundation Builder
Alt. mode: DTH Hydraulic Crawler Rock Drill
Weapons: Plasma Pistol, Rock-Drill Fist
Special Abilities:
6? - In Alt Mode - Capable of splitting or grinding rock and steel into fine powder in a surgical manner
4 - Flight
Height: 26' 5"
Quote: "War doesn't decide who is right, it decides who is left."

Strength:
6
Intelligence: 7
Dexterity: 4
Speed: 3
Endurance: 7
Courage: 6
Firepower: 4
Accuracy: 4
Melee: 7
Tech Skill: 8
Charisma: 4
Rank:

Total: 70

Profile: With his crew, Sidetrack worked upon laying foundation work for some of the greatest spires of Cybtertron. During the Decepticon Uprising, Sidetrack sided with the Decepticons. The idea of only living for a singular purpose, that his existence will be reduced to a single action repeated eternally until the spark in his chest fades left him feeling trapped, and the chance for freedom from this eternal cycle was all he could hope for.

However over time the death toll raised, the destruction incalculable, and the loss of his build team became too much. The freedom seemed to be gained, but the war continued. Each side pushing an ideology that seemed so similar and then growing out of control. Decepticons becoming so much more the tyrants they fought against, and the Autobots seeming to fight against that tyranny but forgetting much like the Decepticons have why such conflicts became. Now it was revenge, perpetual loss, and no aims that could possibly justify the fields of dead that lay at all of their feet.

The switching of allegiance was tough. The sad truth is the horrors that Sidetrack was involved in can never be erased, and his many crimes is something that weighs heavily upon his spark, the only hope is that by strengthening the Autobots with his own hand, he may just serve as the example his people need. The destruction has finished it's work, it was time to build anew, and for that to happen, this horrible conflict must come to an end...

Abilities:

In Alt Mode - Capable of splitting or grinding rock and steel into fine powder in a surgical manner.
Flight

Weakness: Often haunted with notion of causing more death and destruction, Sidetrack finds it difficult to defend himself, making it a struggle in combat to even defend himself. What's more, his slow speed makes it difficult to run fron conflict, focing him in a position to once again engage in the nightmare he is trying to get out of.

Sample Post:

"By the Allspark some cycles I hate this. Sometimes, I feel it ya know? Those stares. Optics on me just long enough to look away when I return the 'look'. Don't deny it, you've done it too. I can't blame you. 'Once A Decepticon, Always A Decepticon'. Like I havent heard that one a million times." With his single right hand, consuming the energon ration of the day. It wasn't much, but it was enough to get by. That seemed to be the thing, it was all Getting By. Watching over the field of the days work, he saw the ground ripped open and rock laid flat like a pad, steel bars sprouting out from it as the beginning of the new forward operating base was being placed. In the sunset though, it looked like bare proto-frame burning, gnarled hands reaching up as though in protest to their firey demise.

Grapple had that look on his face. This was always a sore subject, but being one of the few who could even see past the scratched purple over Sidetrack's chest that laid under the red of the Autobot insignia, Sidetrack often confided in him. The barbs and 'looks' he got frequently, he tried to take it all in and push forward. But not with Grapple. Grapple he had to let in. It seemed right, given their history, however brief it was back on Cybertron.

"It gets tough, but that comes with the choice, right? Doing what's right. Thing is Grapple, I don't need them to understand. Ahhh slag it, maybe I just don't want them to. Getting close gets your internals all mangled up, especially when they become another casualty. Probably worse for the others, at least the dead don't need to live with the loss. Instead, we continue forward. Trying to build it back up again, then it gets torn up, build it again, and just hoping you have enough in you to build it one more time than they got firepower to bring it all down. Not just here... I mean this whole galaxy. That's what it really comes down to. Are we building something that will last, or are we gonna be leaving a cinder."

Transforming, the grinding of an old T-Cog became loud, the old pieces of Sidetrack's body going into place slowly, going back to something that made sense, he could feel his treads digging into the dirt and rock beneath him. To think, I fought so hard to do something else other than my function. The universe has a sick sense of humour.

Name: Jailbreak
Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Soldier
Alt. mode: KENWORTH T909 Semi Truck
Weapons: Quad-Barrel Gatling Laser, a weapon that throws several smaller laser shots in large barrages, but lacks accuracy at range.
Special Abilities:
0 - Flight
4? - Protective Force-field, allowing Jailbreak to reduce all kinds of impacts to his person without reducing the impact to the targets he is prone to ramming, falling upon, crashing through, etc.
4? - Anti-Grav, Able to drive up many surfaces and angles that would be normally impossible, as well as being able to make (relatively) small jumps with no ramps
Height: 30' 5"
Quote: "Head First Collision Comin' Up!"

Strength 8
Intelligence 4
Dexterity 4
Speed 5
Endurance 9
Courage 8
Firepower 7
Accuracy 3
Melee 6
Tech Skill 4
Charisma 5
Rank:

Profile: Jailbreak is fond of two things, bullying those weaker than him, and ramming Autobots to bits under his wheels. Jailbreak often isn't described as a person, so much as a force of nature that wants to run over or run down everything in his way, particularly if he can go head to head with a wanna-be tough-guy in a game of chicken. Running Autobots down is a thrill that he should only be stopped because he found a new one to run over. Valuing his freedom to destroy on a whim, the Decepticon cause comes very naturally to him, though it is more than likely just an excuse to showcase his appatite for vehicular carnage.

It's unsure on what's worse, Jailbreak's need to use his own body as a weapon or his incredible toughness that allows him not only to survive the act, but do it again and again. Sometimes it would appear he has no sense of self-preservation, crashing through walls, doors, barricades. If it is even hinted that he can run through it, he may just try to do it on principle, and probably wont stop on the first attempt out of spite.

That's not to say he is any less dangerous in robot mode. He carries with him weaponry that brings about intense destruction at range. The issue often comes that he is very inaccurate with it, though that simply means he needs to keep shooting with wild abandon, even if a fellow Decepticon is in the way. With such impulse control issues, destructive lusts, and the wild abandon to execute it, he is a soldier that requires careful consideration on where he is deployed, or he may simply turn on his leader to make an example of those who waste his time and energon.

Abilities:
Flight
Shield Generator
Anti-Grav Driving

Weakness: Impulse Control Problems and Reckless Assault, he is often found putting his body on the line to crush his foes. Tending to have an anti-authority personality if he is not placed in an assignment that lets him do what he does best, more than one Decepticon has thought about shooting him in the back before he 'accidently' does the same to them. He also tends to be very easily tricked, as he is not that bright of an individual.

Sample Post:
The Anticipation. The Reving of Engines. The Heat of Burning Rubber as wheels turn on concrette and the speed gathers. The sound of lasor fire overhead builds the intensity, and for that moment, Jailbreak savoured every moment of it. Just ahead was an autobot, trying to outmanuver him, run from him, veering between buildings and ruins alike. It didn't matter though, it just added to the thrill. Debree flew high as he crashed through this Autobot's obsticle course trying to make him slow down, hoping to loose him, but even with the disruptor fire clanging off his shielded hull it was clear Jailbreak was all but a monster who relished in the persuit.

CRASH!

Time stood still, Jailbreak's occular sensors didn't need to show him what he already knew. He could FEEL it! That bending steel forming around his front grill, a perfect T-Bone collision. That smell of oil and fear, that taste of a spark at the hight of terror knowing it was about to be snuffed out. It felt like forever before his audio could take it that sound that almost brought a tremble of glee to his internal structure, or maybe that was just the vibration if the impact. That sound of twisting metal and screaming of horror and surprise. These were the moments that made life worth living.

Then that momment was gone. He watched the Autobot roll twice over before crashing into one of the structures it was using for cover. Jailbreak however still had momentum, and pushed forward picking up speed again. Maybe the Autobot would survive, maybe he wouldn't. Many would say 'finish it' and make sure he would remain inoperable. That would be missing the point though.

"Common Autobot! Get up! Don't make it this easy!" The words barely came out before the second collision happened. That moment that defined Jailbreak.

That moment where time stood still...

This is an excellent first attempt. I’m very impressed. The sample post is solid, as well. The only areas that need some fine-tuning are the “Special Abilities” and “Abilities” sections.

For starters, the ability to grind rock and steel, even in a surgical manner, I would not really consider that to be a special ability per say. Considering what he turns into that would be pretty normal for him. So, I would remove it from the Special Abilities up top and just leave it in the regular Abilities section down below the character’s profile. As a result, you can add the extra 6 points back into your overall stats as I see you are only using a total of 60, which would then give you a total allowed of 66. Now, you don’t have to add those 6 points back in if you don’t want to, but it is an option. I would definitely up his accuracy as a 4 is pretty low. Maybe up his charisma and firepower a bit, as well. For flight (I’m assuming you’re talking about robot mode flight) the stat penalty is 4 for an Autobot, which you have already removed so you’re good to go there.

Now, in the Abilities section down below the character profile, don’t just list his abilities. You can list them up top (without going into detail), but down in the Abilities section below the profile please write them out in paragraph form with a more detailed explanation of what he can do. Furthermore, the Abilities section isn’t just for talking about his special abilities, but any regular ones, as well. For instance, you can talk about his speed in vehicle mode (MPH can be mentioned) and what his weapons are capable of when in his robot mode. You can also mention if said weapons are deployable in vehicle mode, as well, as many Transformers can do that. I know his drill would be. Also, as I previously said, his ability to grind rock can be mentioned here, too. You could also mention intelligence or how strong he is. All these types of things can be detailed here.

Overall, this is a really good start. You’re almost there. Just made the necessary changes to the Special Abilities and Abilities sections, along with adding in the extra 6 stat points (if you want) and then repost the application and I’ll have another look at it. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me. I’ll be glad to help you out.
