Profile:
Before Snarl and his fellow Dinobots were trapped on Earth thousands of years ago he was a silent and unhappy, often sticking to himself and rarely interacting with others, including his fellow Dinobots. He preferred to leave the important and strategic thinking to others and would just blindly follow the orders of Grimlock, making him the Dinobot commanders favorite solider. However, that was before the actions of Grimlock trapped Snarl and the other Dinobots in a river of molten lava. Now reawakened and aware of what has transpired Snarl has changed. He no longer blindly follows Grimlock and he has learned the harsh lesson of how important it is to think for himself. Now he questions Grimlock’s every action and he no longer lets someone else do the thinking for him. Regardless of these changes that have taken place inside of Snarl’s spark and processor he feels trapped in an alternate mode he despises and he still desperately wants to return to Cybertron. His only respite comes when he is locked in combat with the Decepticons.

Abilities:
Snarl is a very physically powerful Autobot, but as a Dinobot he is only the fourth strongest of them, but he has the ability to greatly increase his strength due to the solar panels on his back. These panels that are on his back in both his robot and alternate modes collect solar power and convert it to energy, augmenting his strength making him up to ten times as powerful as he regularly is. While he is in his dinosaur mode he is capable of channeling this collected energy into concentrated blasts of energy from the spikes on his tail. His tail is also very powerful while he is in dinosaur mode, and even without strength augmentation it can shatter a 20 square foot concrete block with one swipe. Snarl also has considerable defensive capabilities. His armour is very thick and designed so that it can deflect enemy fire. He is armed with an energo sword, a long ranged laser rifle, and a missile launcher in robot mode.

Weaknesses:
Snarl often forgets about his weaknesses without the augmentation solar power makes to his strength and he can find himself stuck in situations that are more then he can handle alone. Although Snarl is no starting think for himself he has begun to second guess himself, which can lead to critical indecision on the battlefield, or leading him to turn to others to make up his mind forever when he can’t come to a decision. Despite his loss of faith in Grimlock as a leader, Snarl may still follow the Dinobot leader like he once did only to later question the Dinobot’s leader on the battlefield and disobey orders, often causing potential problems.

Sample Post:
Consciousness returned to Snarl slowly as his processor slowly began to regain its higher functions, but even as he once again became aware of himself he still could not move. The last thing he recalled was the fight with Shockwave on this primitive world. The battle had gone well at first when the Dynobots had fist appeared to challenge him, clad in their oddly designed alternate modes to protect from the energeron radiation that polluted this world. He remembered how the battle had gone in their favour at first, but then a change came over Shockwave. That blathering Decepticon had gone silent and had come out Snarl and his comrades like a brutality he had rarely seen, even in the most dangerous and unstable Decepticons.

The final moments before he had started to come on line again, Snarl remembered lying near stasis lock, Slag, Sludge, and Swoop lying next to him in the same condition. Grimlock was doing his best to ignore the reality of the situation; they had lost. It was then that Shockwave’s victory was stolen from him when a weapon fired from orbit shattered a near by volcano, flooding the area with lava. At that time Snarl had barely had little time to consider what was going on, but he did ask himself one question before he finally went into stasis lock. Who had fired?

Who indeed. Although Snarl was never one for thinking he now had little else to do other then ponder that question as he slowly came on line. Shockwave’s ship could never had done it, the Dynobots had destroyed it when they entered orbit of this world. It was unlikely that any other Decepticon ships had arrived to simply carry out a strike of that nature on a world this rich in energon. Alien? Doubtful, most alien species capable of long range space travel always ran at the first sight of a Cybertronian presence in a system.

That left only one conclusion for Snarl. One that first his spark ach with sorrow, but was very quickly replaced with a cold, deep rage. Grimlock. Who else? Slag would never do it, he was to focused on battle, Sludge was not smart enough, and Swoop was to smart to do it, and of course Snarl knew he hadn’t. No, it was their leader, the one Snarl had put all of his trust and faith, given his unquestioning loyalty. The leader that had betrayed that loyalty and put revenge ahead of his team, his comrades, his friends. Was revenge worth it? That is the question Snarl asked himself.

Although his processor was now fully on line, for some reason his body was not, but that only gave him more time to ponder this new question.

Profile: Since before the war began, Sludge has been a shy, gentle giant of a mech. It was probably the main reason why he never entered the underground gladiatorial arena with the likes of Megatron and Grimlock. Sludge could’ve competed as a gladiator if he had wanted to. Most others thought he should have considering his sheer size and strength. However, it just wasn’t his thing. Sludge wanted to live a quiet life rather then fight other Transformers in pointless contests of violence.

Of course, Sludge’s peaceful existence was shattered once Megatron rose to power and the war began. He joined the Autobots because he disliked the brutality of the Decepticons. His size and strength came in handy when fighting Megatron’s forces. He became the epitome of a shock trooper, making his presence known loud and clear before attacking an enemy with all of his might. The shy, gentle side of Sludge began to disappear more and more as time passed and was replaced with a terrifying force of destruction when provoked. His strength combined with his endurance made him almost unstoppable once he set his mind to something.

As the war raged on with no end in sight, Sludge came to believe that only the strongest should lead and not necessarily the smartest. Thus far, he hadn’t considered any of the Primes he’d fought under to be up to par and thus he grew to dislike authority. He felt that the Autobot leadership was too weak to defeat the Decepticons, but he followed them anyway because he strongly believed in the Autobot cause. It wasn’t until Sludge was approached by Grimlock, that he had finally found a worthy leader with the strength needed to get the job done.

And so Sludge was recruited into the unit that would be called the Dinobots. They didn’t follow the rules like regular Autobots did, and that suited Sludge just fine. As a result, they were able to achieve great victories on the battlefield. In fact, their record was near perfect if it wasn’t for one glaring exception. The Decepticon known as Shockwave had humiliated the Dinobots by destroying their reserve of energon and leaving them with nasty burns.

As a result, the Dinobots sought revenge and followed Shockwave to a planet called Earth, where the Decepticon was conducting experiments. In order to protect themselves from the high energon levels, the Dinobots each picked an Earth creature alt mode so they would be surrounded by a protective covering of synthetic flesh. From the fossil record, Sludge chose an Apatosaurus for it’s similar size to himself and it’s brute strength.

Once on the Earth’s surface, the Dinobots quickly attacked Shockwave but were soon beaten when their flesh coverings were burnt away. The intense energon radiation swiftly overtook Sludge’s systems and he fell into stasis lock. He did not know what had transpired afterwards, only that thousands of years would pass before he and the other Dinobots were discovered by humans and quickly taken to an underground bunker called Area 51. This is where Sludge’s inert form has laid in stasis until now.

Sludge has never been considered to be the smartest of the Autobots nor the fastest. It’s his strength and endurance that he’s mostly known for. He is the largest of the Dinobots but is second strongest only to Grimlock. He doesn’t say much, which reinforces others’ belief that he is stupid. And while he’s no rocket scientist, he’s not an imbecile, either.

Sludge’s gentle side still shows through from time to time when he’s not fighting Decepticons, but not as often as it used to. Deep down, Sludge longs for the day that the war will finally end. Then he’ll be able to let his true self show through the rugged exterior that his Dinobot comrades have only ever known.

Abilities: Sludge’s greatest asset is his unrelenting strength and endurance. He is capable of easily knocking down a bridge or building with a single blow. When in his Apatosaurus alt mode, Sludge is able to shake the ground violently by stomping his feet, causing serious damage to the surrounding area. He is also adept for fighting in water, swamplands, jungle areas and other sludge-like environments. This ability is very useful in thwarting the Decepticons when they attempt to use such landscapes to their advantage. Additionally, his thick armored plating is strong enough to withstand most enemy blasts.

Furthermore, Sludge carries a laser rifle and an energo sword in robot mode. The rifle is capable of firing several rounds per astrosecond, while the sword allows Sludge to cut down his enemies in close quarters combat.

Weaknesses: Sludge’s greatest weakness is his belief that the strongest should always lead and not the smartest. His huge size causes him to be slow moving and not very agile, especially in Apatosaurus mode. As a result of his low speed, Sludge has a tendency to fall victim to the very calamities and destruction that he creates because he can’t get out of the way in time. Also, more often than not, Sludge can be too overconfident in his armored plating and believes that he is invincible. This can lead him to attack a more powerful Decepticon that is capable of penetrating his thick hide and causing serious damage to the Dinobot.

Sample Post:

Sludge remembered everything that happened before falling into stasis lock. He remembered standing in front of the computer monitor, looking through the fossil records that Grimlock had brought up for this small blue world they were orbiting. It seemed to take Sludge a little longer than the other Dinobots to pick an alt mode that best suited him. He had to pick an organic creature of some kind in order to shield himself from the high energon radiation. After a few cycles, and a lot of prodding from his comrades, Sludge finally picked the Apatosaurus, a large four-legged saurapod that seemed to fit his size and overall demeanor best.

Then Sludge remembered teleporting down to the planet’s surface and first assuming his new beast mode. It was different to be sure, but at least it was only required for this one mission. Sludge also remembered doing battle with the Decepticon Shockwave, who had beaten and humiliated the Dinobots in a recent encounter. It was the whole reason the Dinobots were on this world, to get even! No one beat the Dinobots and got away with it.

Initially, the Dinobots had the upper hand. At one point, Sludge even thought they had won, but Shockwave was not yet beaten. He attacked the Dinobots with a fury, transforming to gun mode and blasting away their synthetic flesh. Sludge then remembered falling to the ground, all of his vital systems quickly shutting down as he was overcome with energon radiation. As he fell into stasis lock, the last image he remembered was that of Grimlock reaching for Shockwave and then….blackness.

Nothingness.

Thousands of years would pass before Sludge’s systems would begin to stir again. One by one, they each came back online, powering up thanks to a fresh surge of energon. Sludge’s optics flickered as his vision and consciousness returned. He found himself in a dark place, not unlike where he had just been for hundreds of stellar cycles. He tried to move and found that something was lying on top of him. He didn’t know what it was. He just knew that it was heavy. Using most of his brute strength, Sludge forced himself to his four feet, causing much of the debris on top of him to break apart and fall away. In doing so, he exposed himself to the light that shown down from above. He also came to realize that he was in some sort of artificial chamber. How he got there and why he was there were irrelevant questions to him. He didn’t care. He just wanted to get back into battle.

And he would soon get his wish.

Here's my hand at a custome char. Based on a char used in one of the old RPG incarnations on my old account.

Name: Retaliator
Allegiance: Decepticon
Function: Marine
Alt. mode: Main Battletank
Weapons: Vehical - High Velocity Partical Cannon, Twin turreted chaincannons. Robot- Same, plus energy blade
Special Abilities: robot flight mode
Height: 30 ft, 9.1 meters
Quote: "Get in, get rough, get out"

STRENGTH: 8
INTELLIGENCE: 5
DEXTERITY: 5
SPEED: 5
ENDURANCE: 8
COURAGE: 7
FIREPOWER: 7
ACCURACY: 8
MELEE: 7
TECH SKILL: 5
CHARISMA: 5
RANK:

Profile: Retaliator is like any marine. He follows orders, he bashes his CO behind their back, and he gets his job done with well co-ordnated percision. He also lazes about when not on duty, or gets into mock battles with his commerades. This is a marines life. On a more personal level, Retaliator is cocky to a point, but he remains level headed when apprehending the enemy's abilities and the value of himself and his squad. He is very couragous and will enter the fray all guns blazing with whatever squad he's with. He dreams of getting upgraded with better tactical equipment and better armor so he can one day lead a squad into battle.

Abilities: Retaliator's hovertank mode has a top speed of 145mph. With full energy powering his integrity field, his armor can withstand laser blasts, artillery fire, and incindiary devices with little damage done. Like all transformers, his integrity field can be worn down and he'll start taking more damage from weapons. Retaliators High Velocity Partical Cannon is a highly advanced railgun with a moderate refire rate. It launches small shells encased in plasma at near lightspeed velocities. While this weapon creates devastating blasts, he uses his twin turret mounted chainguns to keep enemies on thier toes. These independently targeting chainguns fire standard laserbullets at a refire rate of 5 rounds per second per chaingun.

In robot mode, Retaliator keeps his primary weapons, and uses an energy blade for melee combat. The energy blade is capable of cutting into nearly any material not reinforced with an integrity field. His H.V.P.C. is set on his back and raises to mount on his shoulder to be fired, and the two chainguns are mounted on his arms. In robot mode, he remains resonably fast yet still well armored. He uses his antigravity drive to hover off the ground and to fly when need be in combat. He uses this rather normal ability for a decepticon to it's upmost advantage.

Weaknesses: Retaliator thinks himself a better tactician than he really is, and will follow any plan he has formed to the end if left without direct orders. This often lands him in situations he could have avoided with some forethought. Past that, he's as tough as any other decepticon warrior, and enough shots will bring him down.

Sample Post: The orders were simple enough. Enter the military base, destroy everything. He was left solo on this mission, as no autobot resistance was expected, and human weapons would do little to him.

He got into the base easily enough. He rolled in right behind a convoy entering the base and followed them right through the check points. He didn't realize the Autobot flyer Aftershot had spotted him and was tailing him from above. Once he was into the center of the base he opened fire with everything he had. Several buildings and many vehicals were destroyed quickly. Then the missles hit him. They hurt! Looking into the sky he realized who that jet was. He moved quickly before the volley of gunfire hit, aiming his chainguns into the air firing quick bursts at the Autobot, while making progress in his mission with his main cannon.

Aftershot dodged most of the chaingun fire, but several shots hit. Knowing this battle was better fought on the ground, he dove in quick and transformed, kicking into the side of Retaliator. The tank transformed and aimed his main cannon right at Aftershots face, covering both sides of escape with chaingun fire. One shot sent the Autobot flying back damaged and prone, so Retaliator concentrated his fire on the spot the autobot should be. Much to his suprise, Aftershot had transformed and was on a collision course with him. He tried ducking out of the way, but Aftershot transformed again midair and tackled into him. Drawing his sword, Retaliator slashed it into Aftershot several times while taking close range hits from Aftershots gun. Aiming for a quick end to this, Retaliator shot the ground beneath them both with a quick burst from his chaingun, the explosion knocking them both apart from eachother. With quick aim, he shot a blast from his cannon into Aftershots legs, severing one of them. It was a quick finish from then, and he left the Autobot in stasis lock, and finished his mission. The military complex was razed to the ground.

Motto: "Peace, Love, and Rock n' Roll"
Weapon: Dirge Gun
Since Devastron said I could try writing this fellow up according to the fancharacter rules:

Name: Heatwave
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Assistant Engineer
Appearance: Full view, Closeup
Altmode: Blue and red Astros II MLRS
Weapons: Laser pistol in robot mode; 8 SS-60 rockets in vehicle mode
Special Abilities: Able to "commune" with non-sentient machines.
Height: 25ft, 7.5m
Quote: "Some of my best friends are machines."

STRENGTH: 4
INTELLIGENCE: 7
DEXTERITY: 6
SPEED: 4
ENDURANCE: 5
COURAGE: 7
FIREPOWER: 6
ACCURACY: 5
MELEE: 4
TECH SKILL: 7
CHARISMA: 5

Profile: Heatwave is one of the more pleasant mechs in the Autobot ranks, generally cheerful, laid back, and always willing to lend a hand or engage in a bit of chit-chat. He especially enjoys taking a promising technological idea and trying to help make it practical, or helping find new and inventive ways to use existing technology.

However, due to his affinity for unliving technology, he's just as friendly to non-sentient machines as he is to Cybertronians. One is as likely to find him shooting the breeze in a lengthy, seemingly one-sided conversation with a piece of machinery as you are to see him talking to a fellow Autobot. He treats non-sentient machines as being as much his "buddies" as other Autobots are, and will get defensive at any attempt to point out the machines aren't actually sentient. While he doesn't value machines over the needs of fellow Autobots, he tends to be troubled whenever he sees a machine damaged, and will politely tell anyone having trouble operating a machine that it would probably work much better if they were nicer to it.

Special Abilities: Heatwave has the ability to "commune" with non-sentient machines, in that he can interface with a machine via his hands, and bypass the normal interface to control it directly. This ability even works on damaged or deactivated machines, enabling him to use a previously non- or barely-functioning machine as if it were still operational.

When not using his ability, he also has knowledge of how to repair and operate machines normally, on the level of a moderately-skilled technician.

Holomatter Avatar: Late 20s Caucasian male with a medium build, frizzy red hair, and freckles, wearing a royal blue engineer's boilersuit/coveralls with a toolbelt and workboots.

Weaknesses: He possesses average attack power in robot mode, and while his altmode's missiles pack a bit more punch, they're limited in number and can only be restocked at base once they run out.

He must remain in direct contact with a machine to use his ability on it, and he cannot decrypt encrypted data, or force a machine to do something that is blocked by a password, code, or other security measure. A machine that was non- or barely functional only works for him personally while he's in contact with it (until it's repaired normally), and a damaged machine may not work entirely properly regardless.

Said ability also works very poorly on sentient machines. It has no effect on dead or fully-functional Cybertronians, and on unconscious Cybertronians it is like trying to converse with a dreaming person talking in their sleep.

Sample Post: As the glow of the orbital bounce faded, Heatwave quickly moved to one of the walls of the pitch-black room and ran his hand along it until he came to a light switch - a metal one, fortunately. His hand glowed faintly as he placed it over the switch, silently coaxing the lights back on with the energy from his sensors. He pulled out his laser pistol with his other hand and pursed his lips in a silent whistle at the state of the now dimly-lit room.

He waited for several long moments, but it seemed no reaction was forthcoming. That didn't surprise him much; even aside from the carnage here, it was eerily silent - no footsteps, no voices, not even the chatter of machines talking with each other. Eventually he re-holstered his pistol and moved towards the damaged console along the opposite wall, the room plunging back into darkness as soon as he let go of the switch panel. There was no shortage of exposed wires on the console now, so he simply settled his hand over the first patch of them he found.

"Rise and shine, computer," he murmured. "Yeah, I know you've had a pit of a day, but we need your help now. Quiet-like, though." He put a finger to his mouth in a shushing gesture as the console came back on, what lights were left unsmashed flashing reds and yellows in the darkness. "There we go. That wasn't so bad, was it? So why don't you tell me what happened here, hmm?" He paused for several moments, head tilted, offering comments of, "Mmm-hmm," "Yikes!", "That's horrible!" and the like every now and then.

Eventually he nodded and said, "Man, I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Well, with any luck my friends and I can help you out. Speaking of which..." He activated his comm and started sending a message.

>>"Heatwave to base. I just got done talking to the computer, and he tells me that there was definitely some kind of fight here, just like we thought. But his memory's all shot, literally... there's a lot of what he's trying to tell me that's missing or doesn't make much sense. Maybe I can record it for Smokescreen and he can help translate.

"The place seems deserted, otherwise... I think it might be safe to bounce other folks in here to scout around. Uh, make sure to bring flashlights, though... the lights told me exactly where I could stick certain parts of myself if I expected them to stay awake and work after what happened. Heatwave out."<<

He tried as best as he could to get into a sitting position by the console while still connected to it, and patted it sympathetically with his free hand as he waited for the others to show up.

***

I went with his canon altmode, but if it's not acceptible, I was thinking I could switch it to a medium-sized car carrier and give him a slightly better robot mode weapon to compensate.

Also, I didn't really have any clue how much to cost his special ability, so I just went with five points.

Approved. We'll come up with a way to get him activated in game.

Profile:

In his early years on Cybertron, the one who would become the Dinobot Swoop was known by a different name, and in a much different group. Originally, “Divebomb” as he was called was a member of Cybertron’s Elite Flying Corps, an elite unit of aerial fighters that ran dangerous missions. To be counted among their ranks was an incredible honor, and a competitive one at that.
Divebomb was challenged by an enemy Decepticon to a one-on-one aerial battle, an off-the-records match in neutral territory. Against the orders set by high command, the Autobot accepted and did battle with his challenger, but was bitterly defeated. To add insult to injury, the Decepticon took his very identity as reward, to the anger and shame of its former bearer.

When he was found, Autobot high command discharged him of duty in the Elite Flying Corps and was given a new identity, “Swoop”. Dishonored and dispirited, he wandered about aimlessly about the planet, until he came to the attention of one Autobot military commander, Grimlock. Having taken notice of his great aerial skills and learning of his defeat by “Divebomb”, he offered Swoop a place among his new unit, the Dinobots, to which he accepted.

In his new group, Swoop again received honor and recognition for his achievements, but it could not completely wipe clean the slate, at least in his mind. Following a defeat at the hands of Shockwave, the Dinobots followed the Decepticon to Earth to revenge upon him. It was there that Swoop took on his current form of a prehistoric pteranodon and fell in battle alongside his comrades, buried alive for millions of years, until they were brought to Area 51 in the present day.

Swoop is still among the best of aerial fighters, and he knows this all too well. However, his greatest loss has taught him humility and somewhat humbled him. While he can be as arrogant and disobedient as his Dinobot comrades, he is arguably more friendly and out-going, and can be very good company when given the chance. However, his reputation and appearance as frightening warrior makes him seem unapproachable, to his dismay.

To this day, Swoop still remembers the suffering he met with and the one who caused it for him. He has always been on the lookout for the one who wronged him, the one who had stolen his very name. Perhaps he will be fortunate enough to meet him again, but when that day will come, who can say?

Abilities: A former member of the Elite Flying Corps, Swoop is still one of the best aerial combatants around, even in his current reptilian state. He can soar up to 250 mph, and makes use of his ability to elevate and strike down upon his adversaries. His bestial form is capable to unsettling even the thickest of armor plating. Underneath each of his wings are air-to-air missile launchers, each carrying the equivalent of 5000 lbs of TNT. His preferred method of attack is to soar into the air and dive down upon a target, releasing his missiles when in close proximity and then speeding away for a retreat. These weapons can be accessed while in robot form, when he is also equipped with a thermal sword, capable of heating to temperatures of 4000 degrees Centigrade. At that heat, it is capable of slicing through most metals like a knife through butter.

Weaknesses: While extremely maneuverable flying through the air, Swoop is vulnerable to enemy firepower due to the relatively fragile nature of his wings.

Sample Post:

It was a hot, humid afternoon and even Swoop could feel it as he soared through the air over a dusty, desert canyon. In his bestial form, flight became a much different sensation than he had previously experienced. There were no thrusters, no engines to propel him forward, only the motions of his wings and warm currents of wind to keep him air-borne. Still, that wasn’t to say he didn’t enjoy it, as he could maneuver much more smoothly and gracefully than before. He quickly dove straight down to meet the bottom of the canyon, then quickly turned up at a sharp angle before he crashed into the river below him.

As he elevated towards the top of the canyon, he found a small indent in the rock face that he could perch upon. From there he could see the entire expanse of the desert inlet, the way it was formed and how the currents of water cut through it. This planet Earth was so different from what he knew, he never had time to appreciate it before, all those millions of years ago. But then again, where was the time? There was work to be done, a debt to be repaid.

He remembered it well, that fateful battle being replayed within his mind. He saw himself, Swoop, and his Dinobot allies engaged in the fight of their lives, all of them against the Decepticon Shockwave. He saw them gnawing and biting, scratching and roaring in primal fury against their hated enemy. He remembered that anger well, how it seethed deep within him. It was something he carried always, even before those times, back when…

At that, Swoop shook his head dismissively, as if to clear away the memories that sat so presently on his brow. He scoffed,

“No use in worrying about the past… about what there was before.”

With that, the Dinobot spread his wings and dove off the cliff ledge, rising high into the air and out of the canyon pass. As he continued on, the thoughts and memories went with, following closely behind as though carried by the wind.

Looks pretty solid, just need a few adjustments. Lets make his height 32'. He's short by Dinobot standards. For special abilities I just want to make sure you know that his flight is only in his alternate mode. Also he should have fuel efficient as a special ability to. That is why his endurance is so high. In his abilities lets bump his dexterity up to 9 since he is very maneuverable, accuracy to 8 and melee to 7. I think his profile needs to be a little less dependent on Divebomb. I don't mind him having a rivalry with the Predacon but I think what you have is a bit too much. Make sure his background fits in with the game too. I think you can make these adjustments and we'll take another look at him. :)

Weapons: Vehical - High Velocity Partical Cannon, Twin turreted chaincannons. Robot- Same, plus energy blade
Special Abilities: robot flight mode
Height: 30 ft, 9.1 meters

You don't meet the requirements to play a fanmade character. You must first play 2 canon characters at an acceptable level before getting a fanmade. As it is right now we are not going to approve any more characters for you until your posting improves. Your one paragraph posts are not up to the standards of the game. I'd like to see more in depth posts in line with the character rather than just act-react posts.

Name: Heatwave
Allegiance: Autobot
Function: Assistant Engineer
Appearance: Full view, Closeup
Altmode: Blue and red Astros II MLRS
Weapons: Laser pistol in robot mode; 8 SS-60 rockets in vehicle mode
Special Abilities: Able to "commune" with non-sentient machines.
Height: 25ft, 7.5m
Quote: "Some of my best friends are machines."

ENDURANCE: 5
COURAGE: 7
FIREPOWER: 6
ACCURACY: 5

Well to be honest I don't think the whole talking to machines thing is going to work in the game. It sounds a bit on the magical or mystical side and that type of thing doesn't really work for ordinary characters in the game. I'm sorry if that ruins the character for you but I don't see that power really working.

Hrm, well that is why I asked ahead of time if he'd make sense as a character. I also tried to write it out more like just being able to interact with machines on a direct circuitry level, rather than his pure canon ability (which definitely is very mystical/telepathic).

Mostly I just liked his overall personality type, though, not necessarily the specific ability itself. Any suggestions?

Profile: Swoop was among Cybertron’s greatest aerial fighters. Originally he had joined with the Autobot forces on the outbreak of the war, but quickly excelled in the field of battle and rose through the ranks as an elite bombardier. Arrogant from his many victories, he soon made one terrible mistake.

In one fateful encounter, Swoop engaged with another aerial fighter, a Decepticon called Divebomb. Having been challenged by him, the Autobot aerialist accepted and engaged his counterpart in a one-on-one dogfight. However, Swoop overestimated his abilities and was out-done by Divebomb, suffering a painful and humiliating defeat.

After having found out, Autobot high command discharged Swoop from the service for his reckless actions. It was shortly after this that he came to the attention of one Autobot military commander, Grimlock. Having taken notice of his great aerial skills and learning of his defeat at the hands of Divebomb, he offered Swoop a place among his new unit, the Dinobots, to which he accepted.

In his new group, Swoop again received honor and recognition for his achievements, somewhat making up for the loss he felt he previously suffered. However, following a defeat at the hands of Shockwave, the Dinobots followed the Decepticon to Earth to revenge upon him, something the one aerialist was well familiar with. He can soar up to 250 mph, and makes use of his ability to elevate and strike down upon his adversaries. His bestial form is capable to unsettling even the thickest of armor plating. Weapons: Air-to-air proton missiles in jet mode, light burst discharger and twin electrostatic overloader rifle in both modes
Height: 30ft., 9.2m
Quote: "Get hip or get hit!"

ENDURANCE: 7
COURAGE: 9
FIREPOWER: 8
ACCURACY: 6

TECH SKILL: 7
CHARISMA: 8

Profile: Needlenose's goal is to be the "coolest Decepticon ever to crush an Autobot". He tries to be trendy, hip, and fashion-conscious whenever possible, typically more interested in being stylish while fighting Autobots than with their actual destruction. Constantly trying to fit in (even when it's impossible), he always looks for the right thing to say in any situation, be it joke, insult, or tactical suggestion. Tends to act like the Cybertronian equivalent of a rock or movie star.

He was quite a celebrity before the war, once being the most renowned fashion microchip designer on Cybertron, and having a love of mugging for the camera. But after Megatron's uprising, interest in superficial fads dropped sharply, and the Autobot government wanted the media to focus on important political matters rather than Needlenose's frivolous escapades. Needlenose eventually joined the Decepticon cause partly in retaliation against being snubbed, and partly in hopes of gaining back some of his old celebrity status by becoming a renowned fighter.

Always looking for the latest new fad, he's fascinated by what's popular in all cultures, both Cybertronian and on the various planets he's stationed to. He's currently intrigued by Earth's Internet and computer games, though he tends to hide this fact from the other Decepticons, lest they think he's "uncool".

Abilities: Needlenose transforms into a high-powered fighter jet. His maximum flying speed is 2400 miles per hour, and his range is 4000 miles. He is equipped with air-to-air proton missiles. He carries two additional weapons in both robot and jet mode. One is a twin electrostatic overloader rifle, which can stun a mechanical opponent for several klicks by flooding their circuits with a surge of electricity. It can even possibly cause circuitry damage if administered at point-blank range. The other is a solar-powered light-burst discharger. A flash from its muzzle causes temporary blindness in all opponents except those whose optical modules are properly shielded.

Weaknesses: His electrostatic overloader rifle's discharge is an unfocused arc of energy that's difficult to control properly, meaning it might run out of power before it can accurately hit a target. His light-burst discharger works best in sunlight, only having enough capacity to store a few charges otherwise. His flair for being stylish rather than practical means a warrior with a more pragmatic fighting style is likely to be able to catch him off-guard.

Sample Post: Needlenose flew into the area around Area 51, doing an inside loop as he zoomed into view. "Hey there, one and all, faithful fans, Needlenose is on the scene. Don't mind me being fashionably late to the party!" He did a few dips and swirls as he made a pass over the battlefield, trying to take stock of who was doing what to whom. "Quite the shindig you got going here. Who wants to be my partner in the dance line?"

Before he could decide on which of the Autobots on the ground to engage, he spotted Aftershot flying back into the fray on the edge of his sensors. Needlenose gave an exaggerated whistle as he banked sharply to intercept. "Whew, looks like I got an ugly partner for the first taker. Hey, Autobot! They waste wings on the likes of you now? 'Least I make 'em look good!" He grinned inwardly, however, as he sped closer. More often than not, if he got to fight with something flying, it was with ordinary organic-flown aircraft. Entertaining, sure, but not very glamorous. Getting to tango with one of the few Autobot fliers, though? That was a perfect chance to try and dazzle everyone.

He did a barrel roll once he got in range of the other flier, then let loose a couple of his photon missiles. "Hope you don't mind that I'm used to leading!" He continued flying towards and angled to go slightly above his opponent afterwards, inverting himself so he'd be upside down when he passed over.

His bio's kind of a combo of his MTMTE, Universe, and tech spec bios, tweaked for the IDWverse. I also turned his Targetmaster buddies into normal non-living weapons, for obvious reasons.

Profile: Divebomb is one happy Predacon, especially when he is raining down death and destruction on the ground-based Autobot forces. He takes great delight in his work and loves watching his targets scurry about below looking for cover. The more targets he has to choose from the better he likes it. He’s almost always in a good mood, unless he has to deal with his fellow Predacons, whom he only tolerates at best. He prefers to be alone and cherishes his independence. In his downtime, Divebomb likes to build metal “nests” out of whatever scrap happens to be on hand. These fortified structures, usually located at the highest nearby point, are a source of pride for him and a place for him to go when he just wants to get away from his annoying teammates.

Furthermore, Divebomb is highly competitive by nature. So much so that it was the primary reason he took part as a gladiatorial combatant in the underground games back before the war began. It is also why he continued fighting after the Decepticon uprising. Divebomb will usually search out and engage the best Autobot fliers he can find just to prove that he is better. One such flyer is the Dinobot Swoop with whom his has developed an intense rivalry and has previously engaged in aerial conflict.

While Divebomb may not like the other Predacons, he fights alongside them anyway because they are the best of the best in the Decepticon army. When Megatron needs something done right, the Predacons are the ones called upon. Patiently, Divebomb is always waiting for their next assignment, counting down the astroseconds before he can unleash his “happy” side on the unsuspecting enemy once more.

Abilities: Rocket thrusters mounted on his back allow Divebomb to achieve speeds of 300 mph when in eagle mode. He has a 2000 mile range and can reach an altitude of 18 miles. High resolution telescopic lenses within his optical modules enable him to spot a dime from 10,000 feet. He can lift a tank and tear through its armored skin with his beak. In robot mode he uses a particle beam rife with infrared sight and a laser guided sword, which is guided to its target after Divebomb first pinpoints the target with a laser beam that shoots from the sword's tip.

Weaknesses: Divebomb's internal guidance system is easily thrown off by magnetism. Such interference causes him to lose control while he's flying and makes him prone to crashing.

Sample:

Divebomb was where he loved to be most. He was flying high above the battlefield, looking down at all the potential targets below that he had to choose from. It was always a tough decision for him. Which Autobot should he take out first? There were so many good choices. But, Divebomb always liked having a wide range of targets and today was no different.

The Predacon circled the battle zone one more time before zeroing in on his first victim. He didn’t know the name of the Autobot, only that he looked young and inexperienced. Best to destroy him now before he grows into a seasoned warrior. Divebomb locked his sights on the Autobot and then opened fire. His lasers cut down the young mech like he was made of tin foil, and sparks flew from his ripped open chest plate. Score one for me! Divebomb thought, as he came around for another attack.

This time the Predacon targeted several Autobot fighters who were positioned down in a trench that provided them with adequate cover from the Decepticon ground forces. It won’t do them any good against me! Divebomb couldn’t help but laugh as he locked on and unleashed a barrage of laser fire into the trench. The Autobots were torn to pieces as explosions rocked through the thin channel. When all was said and done, the enemy’s defensive line had been broken, allowing the Decepticon army to advance. Divebomb was pleased with himself as he transformed to robot mode and joined the rest of the Predacons for the ground assault.

Height: 28ft / 8.5m
Motto: “Those who conquer act; those who are conquered think.”

Dexterity: 8
Speed: 5
Endurance: 6
Courage: 8
Firepower: 9
Accuracy: 8
Melee: 7
Tech Skill: 4
Charisma: 6
Rank: 5

Profile:
Taking the time to plan something out only gives you enemies a chance to move against you, so Rampage has fully embraced a lifestyle of pure action. He seeks immediate gratification and lashes out violently when he doesn’t get it. Rampage doesn’t waste a lot of time talking, because it takes to much effort and reminds him to much of thinking. His comrades are annoyed by his immature outbursts, but Rampage’s exceptional fury and valor in battle have won him their admiration. Strangely the only thing that has been found to bring Rampage to a standstill thus far is Earth’s television programming. Specifically any vapid, inane form of entertainment that might appeal to the lowest common denominator sparks his interest. While watching reality shows or videos, he’s been known to be calm and agreeable for hours.

Abilities:
Rampage is incredibly strong and agile, granting him to the use of powerful legs while he is in his Tiger mode. He is capable of great leaps and jumps while in his alternate mode, he can jump straight up to a maximum of 300 feet, and he can leap to a distance of 500 feet while in his alternate form. Additionally he can perform powerful kicks with his legs as well that are capable of crushing a reinforced concrete wall. He also has a double barreled port in each leg that can fire up to 300 rounds per .12 breems. In his robot mode he is armed with a super heated thermo sword that can cut through most metals and a lightning rifle. The rifle can fire 60,000 volt blasts of electricity. Rampage can also combine with the other members of the Predacon team to form Predaking.

Weaknesses:
Rampage isn’t the smartest Decepticon around and as a result of his mentality he is prone to snap decisions that can often end poorly for him due to his lack of critical thought about his possible actions. Also his legs and leg joints can’t keep up with the constant punishment that he puts them through and this can lead to Rampage’s legs malfunctioning at inopportune moments, and they require frequent maintenance.

Sample Post:
Rampage was pounding round as fast as he could, the four legs of his tiger mode ripping up the ground as he ran as fast as his body could carry him. His eyes locked on the back end of the Autobot in front of him, whom was disguised as one of the ground vehicles operated by the small, fleshy inhabitants of this world. He had been chasing this Autobot for breems, and now the pursuit had entered into one of the large human settlements. The Autobot had figured the Predacon would break off the chase rather then risk the obvious breach of infiltration. That was his mistake. The thought of the consequences of entering the city never even crossed Rampge’s processor. All he was focused on was hunting down this Autobot, running on instinct rather then logical thought, as this Predacon resembled the organic creature whose form he had taken rather then an elite Decepticon warrior.

Humans scattered in all directions at the sight of a giant, robotic, red and orange tiger ripping up the asphalt of the road as he chased a sports car. Of course the Decepticon barely noticed, his optics locked onto his prey. The Autobot took a hard right turn, his tiers screeching as he rounded the corner. Rampage was set to follow him when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye that brought him to a dead stop. In the glass store front of a store were over a dozen television sets, each one playing the same thing; an episode of a human program that followed the day to day lives of people living in the same house. The Decepticon trotted up the window and peered in, his processor entering some sort of clear state, everything else forgotten.

Since he had come to this world Rampage had been captivated by this program, and those that were similar. He felt a calmness and clarity like he had never before experienced, his mind felt focused and uncluttered. Once he even had an interesting discussion on the values of honour in the modern day warfare of the Cybertronian race with Razorclaw, while watching this very program. Sometimes he wondered if these programs made him smarter. An odd question he began to ponder as he watched this episode, oblivious to the world around him. Rampage quickly realized that this episode was in fact a re-run, but it was the episode he had missed last week and now the television display window had his full attention.

Suddenly he was rammed hard in the side by the Autobot he had been chasing, sending Rampage tumbling along the road. He leapt to his four feet, the knee joint of his right front leg groaned a little under the pressure of getting up, he knew he should of gotten it checked before heading out. Regardless there were more important things to deal with and Rampage once more began to chase his Autobot prey.

Height: 32ft/ 9.7m

ACCURACY: 8

It was there that Swoop took on his current form of a prehistoric pteranodon and fell in battle alongside his comrades, buried alive for millions of years, until they were brought to Area 51 in the present day.

Swoop is still among the best of aerial fighters, and he knows this all too well. However, his first great loss has taught him humility and somewhat humbled him. While he can be as arrogant and disobedient as his Dinobot comrades, he is arguably more friendly and out-going, and can be very good company when given the chance. However, his reputation and appearance as frightening warrior makes him seem unapproachable, to his dismay.

To this day, Swoop still holds a personal rivalry with the Decepticon Divebomb and holds a desire to fight him in an aerial battle once again.

Abilities: Swoop is among one of the best aerial fighters among Cybertronians, even in his current reptilian state. He can soar up to 250 mph, and makes use of his ability to elevate and strike down upon his adversaries. His bestial form is capable to unsettling even the thickest of armor plating. He also has a great level of endurance, due to low fuel consumption.

Weaknesses: While extremely maneuverable flying through the air and having a great endurance, Swoop is vulnerable to enemy firepower due to the relatively fragile nature of his wings.

Looks good, just need to mention that his missiles serve as both air to air and air to surface missiles. Adjust for that and consider him done. We'll work on a way to get him activated.

***

His bio's kind of a combo of his MTMTE, Universe, and tech spec bios, tweaked for the IDWverse. I also turned his Targetmaster buddies into normal non-living weapons, for obvious reasons.

Looks really good, just a couple of little tweaks. Lets bump the Dex up to 8 and the Charisma down to 7 and he's good to go. Do that, post him in the profile area and he's yours. You can post him joining in the Area 51 fight, maybe a latecomer for the Con base or something.

Another solid app, just need a couple of tweaks. Bump his height up to 35' and drop the bit about Predaking and he's good to go. Start him with the other Preds at Area 51.

Looks really good, just a couple of little tweaks. Lets bump the Dex up to 8 and the Charisma down to 7 and he's good to go. Do that, post him in the profile area and he's yours. You can post him joining in the Area 51 fight, maybe a latecomer for the Con base or something.

Will do. What would be his rank, by the way?

Weapon: Plasma Cannon
(If I read the list correctly Starscream IS available...Still no on Motor Master???)

Name: Starscream
Allegiance: Decepticons
Sub Group: Seeker
Function: Air Commander
Alternate Mode: F-22 raptor
Motto: “Conquest is made through an opponents ashes"
Weapons: Cluster bombs and Null Rays

Tech Specs: (made from combo of original and Universe Classics v 2.0)
Strength: 7
Intelligence: 7
Dexterity: 8
Speed: 9
Endurance: 6
Courage:4
Firepower: 7
Accuracy: 7
Melee: 5 (?)
Tech Skill: 7
Charisma: 8
Rank: 8

Profile: Starscream is one of the deadliest warriors to emerge from the early days of the Cybertronian Wars. He allied himself with Megatron early, seeing the Decepticon way was the easiest path to absolute power. He takes joy in destruction, his shrill laughter echoing across any battlefield over which he flies. Despite his power, he is a coward at his core, a bully more than a tyrant. He lives to lord his power over those weaker than him, but lives in fear of anyone stronger than him. Specifically Megatron. Despite his power, or more likely a direct result of, Starscream is extremely arrogant and sees himself as the future leader of all Decepticons, with or without Megatron by his side.

Abilities:
Starscream is one of the fastest flyers of the Decepticons, reaching speeds up to Mach 2.8. He can climb to sub-orbital altitudes of 52 miles and nose-dive down to near ground level in mere minutes. This makes him particularly effective in surprise attacks and hit-and-run actions. He can shoot cluster bombs a distance of 40 miles, each of which can level an area 10,000 feet square. His null-ray rifle can interrupt the flow of electricity in any circuitry it hits for periods of up to two minutes, effectively preventing the operation of many machines dependent on those circuits during that period.

Weaknesses:
Starscream overrates himself sometimes, and finds himself in situations that are more than he can handle. His nose-dives often overload his gyro-circuitry leaving him disoriented briefly. But, overall, he is a very tough nut to crack.

Sample Post:
Starscream rocketed through the skies of an area the humans called Texas. It was a large area, but one he quickly traversed thanks to his speed. Starscream was on a simple exploratory mission of the area. Megatron ordered him to scout the area"

"Scout the terrain Starscream! Learn of strategic points...energy possibilities, population centers, defensive capabilities, resistance chances...anything that could be of use. Do this well Starscream...and I shall allow you to stay in my good graces..."

"Good graces...Hmmmpprfff..." Starscream thought to himself, "lick your boots is more like what you meant to say. Oh mighty Megatron, how I long for the day your carcass is at feet, smoldering from massive null-ray overdoses! Why couldn't Soundwave have done this? This is his area of expertise...a warrior like me is wasted in such a manner. When I run things, it'll be much different!"

Starscream started making his report, as he had flown from the El Paso area and was now a little outside of Houston. He found this area very boring. It was vast, by human standards, but had only as few urban centers. Very little chance for him to have some 'fun'. This was all included in his report:

"Large area...mainly barren. Large population centers include the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Austin, San Antonio, and the large center known as Houston. Defensive capabilities equivalent to rest of known country of origin; United States. Energy-wise there is a large collection of fossil fuels which the bipedal germs 'drill' for way to ineffeciently. Their process is entirely to slow. A large concentrated effort could drain it all in a matter of hours. Offshore platforms also provide drilling sources. The bipeds do not use territroy effeciently. Empty, unfarmable land could be used for solar panels and wind turbines. Coastal lines could easilly put in dams for hydro electric energy..."

Starscream stopped for a moment. All this loser recon work reminded him of a simpler time, long ago. A time when he and Skyfire worked together. He remembered it as a boring time of his life. When he always felt held back. he didn't even like tot hink about it. Fortunately for him such thoughts would not last. He was being signaled. Two human stealth fighters appeared on his radar and signaled him.

human: "Unidentified air craft. You are to accompany us to George Bush Airport and land immediately!"

Starscream jammed the two crafts as quicka s his instruments would allow and made note of how the humans stealth technology was better than the Decepticons knew of. This did not deter him though, he was finally able to have some 'fun.' And being so far from Decepticon HQ, it would be something that would not be seen! A chance to toy with these germs! He was arrogant enough to open a channel to them and speak to them in THEIR language:

"You PATHETIC fools! You know of what you are up against!" He sped up and flew towards Houston. If he was going to take these two fly boys out, might as well have an audience! The stealth fighters stayed with him. Starscream responded...

"Bravery...along with curiosity...killed the cat! Hit the deck boys!" Starscream nose dived for the ground, rocketed towards it at Mach 1. The sealths followed suit. As the ground quickly came up Starscream pulled up, expecting to see the stealths crash into the ground, Starscream was surprised to see them pull up and avoid certain death. He flew along, well within city limits now. He spotted an oil refinery.

"nice manuevers back there, for amatuers! You shall be rewarded for your efforts with another test of skill! Tell me, can you see in the dark?"

Starscream dropped a cluster bomb and watched as the refinery went up in a haze of black smoke. The first stealth was engulfed in the explosion...there was no ejection by the pilot. The second blew through, a haze of smoke trailing of it's wings. One was down...the second had to go. Screamer really hit the throttle now, manuevering through buildings. As he did, countless windows shattered onto the awestruck people below. The second stealth tried following but just couldnot keep up. Starscream went to the Sports Complex area of Houston and noticed that the 'Reliant Stadium' had it dome open and was empty. With the stealth out of range, he flew into the stadium...attemtping to hide amid it's shadows. The stealth finally came into the area, flying right over his head. The beleaguered pilot could not believe he lost his target. What he saw next made him enarly lose sanity. From what seemed like nothingness the F-22 reappeared. The stealth ran as fast as it could. It was well out into the Gulf of Mexico now. Starscream offered one final taunt as he was nearly on top of it.

"Hahahahahahahaaa! You are the, how do YOU put it...tortoise to the hare! You flew well...but not well enough for STARSCREAM!" he transformed, not wanting to waste ammo, to destroy the stealth, and in case Megatron did an ordanance check. Starscream flicked his fingers and watched the stealth broke into pieces. He admired his destruction for a second and then turned into local news stations...

"Update on the situation in Houston...it seems a rogue Taliban agent has infiltrated a local navy base and stolen an F-22 fighter! The F-22 destroyed an oil refinery and led two local pilots on a chase through Houston, Texas. One stealth fighter was destroyed, the pilot was not recovered. The second plane led the F-22 out to sea where a navy sub shot down the F-22. These pictures just came in..."

Starscream laughed out loud again. Not only did the humans give him a cover story if Megatron became suspicious to this activity...they even doctored pictures of his destruction.

"Nice touch," he thought, as he started to make his way back home.

Denied. I dont' feel you are up to playing such an important character yet, especially after a long absence from the game. You need to work your way up to these types of characters.

Postby Xzuk » Fri Jun 19, 2009 10:43 pm

Name: Xzuk Machsting
Allegiance:Autobot
Function: Scout/tactician and coverfire soldier
Alt. mode: Cadillac CIEN--- http://www.diseno-art.com/images/Cadillac_Cien.jpg
Weapons:One standard blaster pistol integrated into his shoulder armor, one ancient autobot laser pistol which can only stun, and a cybertronian small plasma rifle.
Special Abilities: I was reading the list and saw the special weapon bit, but its up to you if you'd like me to remove the ancient pistol.
Height:24 ft = 7,3 m
Quote: "If the engine is too big, you're just too old..."

STRENGTH: 7
INTELLIGENCE: 8
DEXTERITY: 6
SPEED: 8
ENDURANCE: 6
COURAGE: 9
FIREPOWER:7
ACCURACY:7
MELEE: 3
TECH SKILL:6
CHARISMA: 8
RANK: Given by RPG moderators.

Profile: Outgoing, charming, and witty some would say. Although Xzuk is an excellent addition to any raid force, he fights only when he is needed or a freind is in danger. He's seen only too much of this war and prefers not to fight. He is a well known scout and a relatively good marksman.

Abilities:Although Xzuk isn't the best melee fighter, he's a well known tactician and a pretty good shot. He carries two pistols, one of which can be readily known as an ancient technology, but unmatched when trying to capture someone, for it can only stun. Xzuk's final weapon is a cybertronian power rifle used only when absolutley necessary. And only in last resort times, when in robot form Xzuk can burn fuel to make a type of jump jet for an added push to escape to higher terrain.

Weaknesses: The most well known weakness of all. Friends. After losing so many comrades in the time before the great stasis, Xzuk has sworn to do all within his power to keep his comrades alive. Physically, Xzuk is rather light in weight and not a melee fighter. at close combat you could get an edge quickly.

Sample Post: While on a routine sensor check, Xzuk is stormed by two decepticon scouts. Being the fast and smart tactician he is, Xzuk heads for an abandoned Cybertronian building he had been studying erlier and deemed structurally unsound. His original plan had been to use it as a trap for a Decepticon raid party when times were desperate, but this was a desperate time. Moving at speeds well over 250 mph Xzuk arrives at the building. He begins to destroy the main support beams and leves two standing. The Decepticons arrive and begin to taunt Xzuk. Xzuk pulls the rifle aims right at them (or so they believe) and fires. They laugh at how horribly he missed. Then the second beam gave way. The building crushed the first of the two, the second was very fortunate. Sadly for him Xzuk had deplyed the calf mounted jump jets and gotten a prime shot off with the ancient stun laser. Never bad to take prisoners. A mission very nicely accomplished for an autobot just so recently pulled from stasis.

Profile: Starscream makes no secret of his ambition to overthrow Megatron as Decepticon Leader. He is ruthless, cold-blooded and cruel. In that sense the two rivals are very much alike. But he has a vain side that clearly distinguishes him. He considers himself the most sophisticated and handsome of the Decepticons. He exudes a high-class, urbane air that provides a certain irony to his murderous tendencies. He looks down at Megatron for being antiquated in his military strategy. Starscream believes the Decepticons should rely more on guile and speed rather than brute, destructive force to defeat the Autobots.

Starscream displays a kaleidoscope of personality facets and emotional undercurrents of which he himself is not fully aware, but which are not entirely lost on his comrades. He can be arrogant, selfish, and single-mindedly ambitious, forever seeking to unseat Megatron and assume command himself - but his schemes always seem to backfire as though he were subconsciously sabotaging himself. He forges ahead with supreme confidence, and can display astonishing perseverance in the face of repeated setbacks, but then may trip over his own insecurities.

Acknowledged for his combat skills but otherwise often disdained by his comrades despite his constant scrabbling to gain respect, he isolates himself further in a bristling shield of psychological armor. He can waver in an instant from deathless courage in battle to desperate pleas for appeasement in response to an enraged Megatron, when he's stepped too far over the line. Megatron overlooks the potential threat Starscream represents for one very good reason: Starscream is very good at his job.

Abilities: Starscream is one of the fastest flyers of the Decepticons, Mach 5 being nothing more but a cruising speed for him.

Weaknesses: Starscream tends to overrates himself often, and finds himself in situations that are more than he can handle. His nose-dives often overload his gyro-circuitry leaving him disoriented briefly. But, overall, he is a very tough nut to crack.

Sample Post:

Starscream sat in his quarters deep with in the Decepticon base, fingers pressed together in front of him. His optics were focused on a screen in front of him, a screen that was replaying battle recordings from battles that were both old and new. Battles where Megatron had fought. After his most recent challenge of the Decepticon leaders rule Starscream was actually surprised and disappointed that Megatron had let him live. As far as he was concerned any threat to your leadership, no matter how great or small, should be cut out, and made an example of to show to any others who may wish to challenge you what will happen. For Starscream, Megatron had failed his final test in letting him live. He was weak, unworthy of the honour of being the Lord of all Decepticons, and for that he should pay with his life.

Of course all of this self boasting was pointless if you could not back it up. If Megatron was to be removed he had to be destroyed for all to see, ripped down in such a grand display that it will never be forgotten. Of course, words and actions were two different things. In order to over throw Megatron and take command Starscream himself had to also prove himself worthy of leading the Decepticons. Destroying Megatron wasn’t enough. He had long ago lost faith in his current master because Megatron had lost focus of what it was to be a Decepticon. A Decepticon was not to be a cog in Megatron’s grand warmachine,. No, it was to be a warrior lord of a sort, to believe in an ideology that the mighty should rule the universe, and that a Decepticon was the to be accepted into the elite of the strong, that you have clawed your way up to prove your greatness.

Starscream sighed. All of his grand plans and ideals meant nothing if he could not over come the one obstacle that stood in his way. Megatron. And that brought him back to why he was here, studying Megatron’s performance in combat. For eons he has always heard how Megatron was invincible, no one could stop him, that he was immortal even. Indeed, these legends seemed to be almost true given that Megatron had vanquished the greatest warriors the Autobots could send against him. All save Optimus Prime of course. Starscream grinned. Although he loathed every single Autobot and wished nothing but death for them all, he did admit to himself that on occasion he derived great joy from watching the great Megatron being beaten down by Prime. Also the tirades Megatron went into after a beating at the Autobot leaders hands were another source of amusement. Watching the normally calm and collected Megatron go into a fit of rage was a rare, yet spectacular thing.

A thought struck Starscream. Perhaps he had been going about this all wrong, thinking to much of the direct approach rather then playing to his strong suits. Indeed a Decepticon was a great, and powerful warrior, but he should never be a full, his mind and wits as strong as his body and weapons. If he could not over come a foe with brute strength, then he must approach the battle from another angle. Starscream had always prided himself on being a master of such tactics, to be the bolt of lightning from the clear sky. He was renowned for striking fast and without warning, to keep his enemy off balance. That is perhaps how he should approach his confrontation with Megatron.

A smile spread across Starscream’s face. He could never hope to defeat Megatron in a head on fight that much is painfully obvious. Instead he must use his mind to undermine Megatron’s rule, to take it from him and only when he had actually secured his dominance over the Decepticon’s could he then hope to remove Megatron.

It was by far the more difficult route, it would be far easier for Starscream to shoot Megatron in the back at an opportune moment, or to try and upgrade himself with better armour and weaponry so to stand a better chance in battle. But those were risky, and would likely result in his own demise given his past, failed attempts at direct confrontation. No, he would need to move slow, carefully, to rally support to him, to show the others that Megatron was no longer worthy of their loyalty. Only then could Megatron be removed and the Decepticons be allowed to truly become what they are meant to be.

With Starscream leading the way of course.

Motto: "If knowledge is power, then to be unknown is to be unstoppable"
Weapon: Plasma Cannon
(Understood, can't be to mad about that. I'll try Reflector)
Name: Reflector

Allegiance: Decepticons
Function: Surveillance
Weapon: Standard laser pistols
Alt. mode: Digital Camera
Quote: "See and you can know. Know and you can destroy

Strength: 7
Intelligence: 8
Dexterity: 3
Speed: 2
Endurance: 6
Courage: 7
Firepower: 6
Accuracy: 5
Melee: 5
Tech Skill: 9
Charisma: 3
Rank: 6

Profile: If SOundwave is Megatron's ears, Reflector would be Megatron's eyes. His three components can function together as one or seperately on an as need basis. When seperate, his three components go by the name of SPectro, Spyglass, and Viewfinder. Other 'cons have a difficulty telling them apart so usually just refer to him as 'Reflector,' even when seperated. Performs better as one unit however.

Loves to observe things; vegetation, architecture, Earthen topography, and particularly comrades' mistakes. Likes to blackmail his associates and is impressed with his own ability. Has highly-developed infra-red vision that can record images in darkness, through camoflage and at great distances. In camera mode, can emit powerful flash explosion that leaves enemy blind and disoriented for up to 15 seconds. Refecltor is a veyr loyal soldier to Megatron. Though he lacks great stength or weapons, he can be counted on to fight it out until ordered not to or victory is acheived.

Abilities: Advanced surveillance gear, flight in robot mode, and can emit a flash bomb that can temporarily blind an opponent. Can function seperately or all three togther as one.

Weaknesses: A warrior Reflector is not. He is at his best behind enemy lines as a spy. In combat, Reflector is only a supporter, lacking the strength and speed to to help in melee combat, and the firepower to spearhead a ranged attack.

Sample Post:

It was another standard day for Reflector. He was sitting at his observation console monitoring certain specific events all at once. Spectro was tuning in to see a human talk show to better learn their culture and how it may be used against them. Spyglass watched American fleet movement intently near the North Korean waters. He was anxious to see if hostilities between the two enemies would flare up any time soon, and how each side could be manipulated and destroyed. Viewfinder was content on the internal base security. He wanted to know what each Decepticon was up to, save Megatron. That was one Decepticon any of Reflector did not need to watch. There was also the chance that Megatron may find out and crush his optics one by one if he found out. Instead, Reflector paid no attention to Megatron's movements unless specifically instructed to. As one would imagine, he was NEVER instucted to. All three parts of Reflector were viewing everything as one. As they gathered and processed information, Megatron summoned them.

Megatron boomed in, interupting his information gathering process:

"reflector? Are you on-line? I have an urgent mission for you! ANSWER ME!"

It took Reflector a moment to respond. He was processing so much at once the sudden interuption disturbed and antagonized him. If it were any other Decepticon, Reflector would blackmail them at once. But this was Megatron! Reflector had nothing to blackmail him with, not did he want to. He was a loyal soldier, and would continue to be until he has ceased functioning. All three of his components responded at once, in their montone, shrill voices:

"Yes Megatron. What are your orders?"

"I want you to observe a new stealth technology the humans are going to test today." Reflector waited silently, knowing Megatron would give him all the info he needed. "They are launching a new submarine from the port in San Diego, California. United States of America. I want you to observe it's trip to Los Angeles. When they activate their stealth tech, I want to make sure we can still observe them. Anything off the radar at this point would be spoke in our wheel! Do you understand me?"

"Yes sir?!" They all replied.

"ALL of you?" megatron continued.

"Absolutely sir...you shall you report and know everything as soon as I do."

"Excellent Reflector. I expect a detailed report with in the hour."

"All hail Megatron..." The screen went blank before Reflector even got the words out. He quickly went to work aligning satellites to focus in on the port in San Diego. The sub was easilly recognized and Reflector kept all six of his optics on it. As it launched Reflector was already bored. Viewfinder stayed tuned in on the sub, Spyglass watched Autobot movements, and Spectro watched fellow Decepticons.

Spyglass watched the two Autobots setting up a jamming tower. It was that loud mouth neanderthal Ironhide and the one that never shut-up. Jazz was it? Immaterial. All that mattered was a possible jamming station was going up. Viewfinder watched the sub and monitored all communications. Spectro watched and laughed as Skywarp teleported behind a distracted Dirge and then kicked him down a set of steps. He made note to use it against him later. As this occured, the sub activated it's stealth tech and Viewfinder lost it on visual. All three were panicked, and immediately snapped to attention.

Viewfinder: "target lost..."
Spectro chimed in: "Begin cycling through infrared specturm..."
Spyglass: "Cycling...processing..."

The three worked in unison, not wanting to fail Megatron. Each cycled through a different version of infrared, three different versions at once. It did not take long before the sub was located. They chimed in unison:

"Sub found, grid 712-Theta. Infra red version 24.6, seismic filter can penetrate stealth abilties. Preparing report..." The three brains processed all their data at once in preparation for Megatron. They called him, as no one summons Megatron.

Refelctor asked him, "Mighty Megatron, If you are ready are report is finalized."

Megatron was happy, or as happy as he gets, that at leats one of his troops can handle a simple order. "Proceed," he bellowed.

Reflector spoke as all three again, "Human sub technology cannot be penetrated by standard sonar. Decepticon technology has penetarted it's stealth via Infra Red version 24.6, seismic filter...object does not pose a threat. It is easilly tracked and monitored. Also, in Sector Upsilon Pi-42, two Autobots are setting up a jamming tower. Iron Hide and Jazz by the read outs. Recommend immediate action." Reflector choked a litte, how would Megatron react to him 'recommending' actions or anything?

Megatron smiled a halk smile, "Excellent work Reflector...the sub poses no threat. As for the Autobot tower, we shall eliminate it at once. Have yourself prepped for combat if necessary. Megatron out..."

Reflector was angry he was snubbed for combat, again! He would not openly challenge Megatron's decree though. He was just ecstatic though that Megatron did not scrap him for 'recommending' action. He watched as the Decepticon warriors fueled up to destroy the tower. He also laughed quite a bit when he noticed Skywarp pour a LARGE amount of Cybertronian laxative into Starscream's fuel supply. He made note of it to use against Skywarp as well...and to view Starscream later as that may prove entertaining. Yes, reflector was his own little TiVo.

Approved. Very nice sample.
