That looked like it was not enough of an outline when I looked at it. I used a 12 px stroke here, though it doesn't look like others, does it?

Did you shrink and then add the stroke, or add the stroke and then shrink? It's supposed to be the former way: shrink the photo and then add the 2pixel stroke.
