I think you might like what Sustain has planned for us in March. It's pretty similar to that.

Cool.
On a different idea, inspired by Zombie Cheerleader's alt and further research of looking at the alts list, I notice that the Red Team has two Rabbit alts while the Purple Team has a Duck and a Rabbit. While it would be more appropriate if the Decepticons had two Ducks, I'm sure Looney Tunes fans can figure out where I'm going with this...

Re: New forum games plan!

I campaigned hard back in the day for the Cons to have that Rabbit. Even though I don't use it often I like to know its available (albeit at Rare) when I want it.

So I mentioned that I had an idea for another event. Here’s what I got:
Dragonslayer wrote:You how historically the Decepticons have had a lot of flyers and the Autobots have a lot of cars and trucks? It’s essentially that. For a week the Bots would hunt Cons with flying alts and the Cons would hunt Bots with ground-based alts. I thought it was a simple enough idea that tied in well to the whole “War for Cybertron” theme.
And to give it a little twist, I thought if we decided to fight the enemy on their terms we get rewarded. So like if a Bot flyer defeats a Con flyer it’s two points, and same for a Con groundpounder killing a Bot on the ground.

Sounds like fun to me XD I have a question, though, regarding my maximal team. I imagine land animals would count as ground units and flying would count as aerial units, but what would my sea creatures count as? Or would they not count at all, considering they would be the 'Bot equivalent of a ship or submarine which wouldn't really be considered aerial or ground?

Sure, we could count air and ground animals alongside their vehicular counterparts. There wouldn’t be any sea-based alts among the eligible targets. It’s intended to be more of a classic G1 kind of affair while playing into the war motif of each side attacking the other’s advantages.

Sorry for the double-post/bump, but I just had an interesting idea spawn in my brain...
Anyone remember the game 'Horse'? The one where a player made a shot and then the others had to match it, if they failed they ended up with a letter and the last one who hadn't spelled out Horse (or whatever word was chosen) won?
Well, how about a HMW version (or maybe it'd be more like Scrabble, now that I think about it...)? We'd have to decide on a word, but then players could spell it out using the first letter of the names of stasis locked foes. First player to finish the word with proof would win the game.
Example;
The word is Horse. A Decepticon player could win by presenting the link and time index for stasis locking Hallowjack (Jack), Omega Fortress (Thunderthruster), Resolute (of my own team), Stampy (Wingz) and electric ed Ericson (Steve) - H-O-R-S-E.
Thoughts?

I'd be game...
Maybe change the word to WHEELIE but I don't know that there are that many active players that start with "E".
Could make it a MATRIX quest but you have the same problem with "X".

Wasn't necessarily saying we'd use 'Horse', I was just using it for an example... but, yeah, you've hit on one of the two major problems I can think of with the idea - the word and time. The word would have to be something hard enough to be a challenge, but still spellable with the names of active characters (no 'Zygote' or anything like that, therefore), and because of that I'm not entirely sure it would fit in a week's time like most games we've been playing, it might have to go longer...

That's a really clever idea
Well, Bots/Maximals would be hunting Xenos Prime relentlessly
Who might you be able to hunt, though?

Matrix (as was already suggested), Primus, Cybertron, Unicron, Transformers...
Could make it three rounds or a phrase - 'Heavy Metal War', for that matter...

He's saying the winner should be whoever gets all three words and not best two out of three.

Then... Whats the point of doing rounds?
Unless you get Points for finishing each round 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place but even if you don't place you have to finish the word for that round or you're not allowed to continue.
Another question about the concept: Do you have to get the letters in order by mission number (or in the case of two letters killed in one mission, a timestamp) or collect letters in any order?

I... can't really answer on the first one. When Steve and Psych' get on the same wavelength, I get completely lost.
As to the other one, I was thinking just any order since in order by missions/timestamps could get confusing. If someone can get them in order by missions, that'd be awesome, but I wouldn't personally make it a requirement. Plus, with any order, you can end up surprising yourself sometimes with the letter you get.
My one thing that I am thinking as a restriction would be one letter per SL per battle. That is, if I SL Bad Wolf's Elita One, I can't use that SL in that battle for both E's in 'HEavy MEtal War', I have to wait for another battle to try for the second 'E'.
