In FansProject we trust. Until that day, the goofy TFCC one will have to do.

Both of your posts are absolutely incorrect in assuming what I said. I never said 3rd parties don't redeco or remold. We've had at least TWO Hasbro Jhiaxus toys that were redecos/remolds of existing figures when fans have wanted a G2 accurate figure since the comic. We've never received it.
While 3rd parties haven't created one (yet) this is the kind of thing they usually go for. Filling a spot that Hasbro hasn't or hasn't done so to tge fandom's liking.
In no way did my post say 3rd parties don't redeco or remold. Good job! Let me find you some more conclusions to jump to. Hopefully none are over a cliff. *crosses fingers*

He's more golden bronze than banana yellow, with more of a muted neutral gray and only red on his head.Caelus wrote:IDW and G2 look the same to me...

care to elaborate, because I really didn't get the intent behind the original comment?

Mold-wise, the new Jhiaxus toy is based on his IDW design. The Armada Starscream on its own even has some Jhiaxus-based molding details that it shouldn't have as Starscream, such as Jhiaxus's three-holed crotch.Stormrider wrote:They need to make a new mold for Jhiaxus based on the IDW design

I don't remember IDW Jhiaxus having wings hanging off his upper arms. Also where is the thruster on his back? Three holes in his crotch doesn't do it for me.

The Starscream figure on its own has the following Jhiaxus-based parts: The three-holed crotch, the abs molded on the front of the spine, the lower ribcage vents*, (though Starscream has these too, the ones on this figure have been "massaged", so to speak, to resemble those of both him and Jhiaxus), among other tiny details.
And the Jhiaxus remold has even more similarities to the IDW look, such as the shape of his whole upper torso, right down to the tiny trapezoidal shape on his chest. The RiD-based deco a really the main knock against this figure's comic-accuracy.
The figure itself can even be hunched over like IDW Jhiaxus:
And IDW Jhiaxus does have wings, they're just usually tucked away behind his back, which, as the above pic shows, this figure can do (they aren't "hanging off his upper arms", they're attached to his back on ball joints behind his shoulders).
