Don't you wish we could back in time to G1, when every character got it's own unique mold and nothing was ever repainted? Boy, those were the days! Luckily we have 3rd parties, who NEVER repaint their figures to represent different characters.

I myself don't see any way that those 3 pieces combine that doesn't look goofy.

You know what, 2 more: Mugen Scope and Mugen Vox
How about another 2: Continuously Variable and Divergence

3rd parties do the same damn thing.

Jhiaxus is just... no. I was really hopeful for this figure so it could [kinda] sit in with my G1s like Straxus\Darkmount has.

I'm hoping Chromia and Arcee will fit in, though

Every 3rd party repaints their molds for the same reason Hasbro and TT do: it makes good economic sense.

I agree that Hasbro should get two or three uses from a old. No questions asked there.

I think they could've left Goldfire alone and gone with Nightbeat for the remold. RTS Jazz has already been used for two repaints already (G2 Jazz and Wheelie). Goldfire feels like a waste - the colour scheme hardly feels like its a repaint at all.. more like a Takara\Hasbro comparison shot.

Starscream.. that could've been someone else, too. Its a nice mold and would be cool to see who they reimagined it as... but Jhiaxus is really not the guy I'd like to see as it.

It'd make me laugh if Windblade was changed into a male character like Thrust.

I am actually looking forward to all of these, but especially that Nightbeat. i admit, I can't get enough of the RTS Jazz mold. I have several versions of it already as well as a couple planned customs from it and really like the colors on this Nightbeat retool.

Yeah, Jhiaxus is a skip, in those colors, had they been g2 colors I would have bought it in a second

I love Nightbeat's head, but I hate his body. It just doesn't match his proportions. He would have been better served by having a - dare I say it? - "Flat-chested" robot mode.

I half agree with this. While they could indeed make a fine dazzler, stereo-flashlight, etc., if the articulation of the C-clips is retained from the original speakers, anyone who fiddles with them enough will eventually configure them into a waffle-iron. And once you've seen that, there's no guarantee you'll ever be able to see it as anything else. Time will tell. Can anyone look at Shortround without seeing his third mode?

Both of your posts are absolutely incorrect in assuming what I said. I never said 3rd parties don't redeco or remold. We've had at least TWO Hasbro Jhiaxus toys that were redecos/remolds of existing figures when fans have wanted a G2 accurate figure since the comic. We've never received it.

While 3rd parties haven't created one (yet) this is the kind of thing they usually go for. Filling a spot that Hasbro hasn't or hasn't done so to tge fandom's liking.

In no way did my post say 3rd parties don't redeco or remold. Good job! Let me find you some more conclusions to jump to. Hopefully none are over a cliff. *crosses fingers*

This isn't news...judging by the pictures these are just upscaled. You can tell they blew them up as the detail is horrid. No offence but it's the same pictures form a few weeks ago.

I was hoping these were fake.

I really don't mind Nightbeat using the Jazz mold, I'm just kind of sick of that figure.
When it comes to Jhiaxus, I actually prefer the orange deco over his G2. What bothers me immensely though is the size. I'll only get him if he shows up in Dark Cybertron looking like that. And he probably will.

Wow everyone is hating on Jhiaxus....

Oh well, easier access for me then. Guess it helps that I'm not familiar with the G2 version, only the IDW Dead Universe.

Plus I'm skipping that Armada Starscream mold so Jhiaxus will be a fresh mold to me standing right next to Nemesis Prime, Galvatron, Bludgeon, Cylonus and several Sweeps.

Jhiaxus is actually sculpted a lot more faithfully to his IDW design than we originally believed. The Armada Starscream mold as it is even has some small molding details that are based more on Jhiaxus than Starscream.

If it helps, the wings can be hidden and the mold can be hunched over to more closely resemble Jhiaxus.

Jhiaxus is my favorite of the three revealed because his adaptation is significantly more faithful than Nightbeat, and Windblade is still a bit of an unknown.

And it certainly beats a straight redeco of a Beast Machines figure...
