Our own s250 has brought us news about new pictures of BotCon 2008 and Classics 2.0 figures. Comus of Actoys.net has posted the new images here and here.

hm im not so sure on that Sunstreaker I think it looked better as a prototype

Why do the Classic 2.0 figures look of inferior quality than the Animated figures? Prowl & Sunstreaker almost look like WSTs.
And Octane/Tankor looks worse now, his wings are shrinking!
I hope Prowl at least gets his missiles painted... didn't previous pictures show him with a gun? I don't know, but that Crosswise disguised as Jazz is the best looking figures in that bunch, evenrthough i dislike that mold.

The classics are all mistransformed. That's probably why they looked better before, when they were transformed correctly that is.

These are not only horrendously mistransformed, but they are obviously painted prototypes, the final product will probably look much, much better.

Need more proof these figures are in mangled forms? Compare the photo of Botcon Blur to any Armada Blur repaint from the galleries and its easy to tell that this guy cant transform his toys at all.

While promising these pictures aren’t good for anything.

Either that, or Hasbro has really screwed the pooch on paint applications...

My thinking? The "good" pictures are photoshoped colors. The "bad" ones in this thread are the Hasbro colors.

The old images look like nicely painted models, the new ones look like bare plastic.

Maybe those are knock offs? Anyways I'm sure Hasbro's actual release will see some much better looking TFs than what those were in the pics. I doubt they'd expect something of such crappy quality to sale, either to kids or to collectors. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Sunstreaker looks a little plain.
I find Tankor's HEMTT tuck mode a little disappointing. I have to see him in person before any conclusions can be made. But Prowl is the best of the bunch.

You mean this guy?

He is Botcon exclusive Blurr. Won't be released in Universe

And yes Jazz is supposed to be in Universe in later waves.

Club Exclusive. No Headmaster Gimmick though. However since he is based on Energon Hot Shot's Mold. He has the ability to combine with any of the Deluxe and Voyager Autobots form that line.

Those Classics look really bad there, the car modes of Sunstreaker & Prowl look like WST's.

I really dislike Sunstreaker's legs, I just think they look bad and Octane looks to have dodgey leg design(his feet) too.

I'm sure the finished products will look alot better and I'm still looking forward to getting all the new Classics molds but maybe not as much as I once was.

The "good" pictures you referenced look either photoshopped as you mentioned or painted plastic. The "bad" ones look like the typicl Hasbro colored plastic. Sunstreaker's yellow plastic looks almost identical to Bumblebee's yellow plastic. I wouldn't be surprised if these are close to the real thing. It's too bad the engine exhaust from the grey prototype has been removed.

I am disappointed with Octane. The bottom of the plane looks horrible. It looks like the plane is on a sled. The back of the plane doesn't look too much better. It's too bad the windows are now painted in truck mode. They looked a lot better in the clear prototypes.

How were the good ones Photoshopped? Weren't they colored and at toy fair 08? Or am I missing something?

Anyways those new pics look like someone had plastic diarrhea and that was the aftereffect. I'm sure the Hasbro releases will look a millions times better. I doubt even Hasbro would release products that look that bad.
