Something about the Henkei version makes me like him a lot. At first glance, I thought 'toon accurate', but I would need to see some screen caps to really believe that.

In fact, I think the Henkei one reminds me a lot of the custom version made by the guys who also did Wheelie, who for the love of me I can't remember their name? Impossible toys, maybe?

Universe = Cyclonus
Henkei = "his armada"

i like hasbro version chrome on on his minicon looks funny to me i still perfer cyclnous face to be silver but now that i see the comparison of the 2 together the white is kinda growing on me just not that much

Count me in for the Hasbro version over the Takara version too. And that, I believe ladies and gentlebots, is a first for me.

Yeah I think the chrome on Nightstick looks pretty silly...

simple choce for me, both. As for a reason, watch the movie, Unicron made cyclonus plus clone, so i will have a cyclonus plus clone

I am not fond of the Henkei version...and the price tag makes it even less desirable. The one thing I DO like is the chrome on the weapon...makes it look more gun-like IMHO.

I'd love to see a five pack made by Hasbro...nothing but Targetmasters. Since they've gone this far, will we see Headmasters too, ya think?

I've always liked the concept of Cyclonus having an assistant/lackey named Armada, much like Scourge had his army of Sweeps. Most generic speculation I've seen is that "Armada" didn't survive the movie...

well one of the sweeps seems to get blown up by grimlock whilst grimmie is boarding the shuttle on earth so maybe 'Armarda' met a similar fate, but with how cool that alt mode was i dont care. (how sweet would that be in black and chrome)

I like the Hasbro Cyclnus in this case, and Countdown shall be mine!

I believe it was something like Jizai toys.

This will probably be the first time I buy BOTH versions. Hasbro's is toy accurate and Takara's is show accurate:

mmm i hope my usual supplier offers the hasbro - i'm not a big fan of all the henkei chrome and cyclonus defo looks better in what i call "decepticon purple"

also i've drawn a line at buying only original universe figures rather than repaints from older lines like countdown though it's a very good homage.

it's enough i'm suckered into repaints *sigh*

Love both of them! But I think I'll go with the Universe on this one. Nothing a little paint won't do to make it a great looking figure.

You guys kill me! Cyclonus being my favorite character I go with what I am more accustom of knowing him by and that is the henkei version. Yea talk about his easter colors if you like but that is what he looks like in the cartoon. So everyone that is trying to be "pro-America" and stay with the hasbro colors quit fooling yourself. I love America too but it is obvious that the henkei is way better but that is my opinion!

did you actually read that garbage before posting it? Im british and i think hasbro's is better. nationality has sod all to do with it, read the boards, generally henkeis are more popular there aint much love for hasbro on here

Too bad Countdowns rocket doesn't tranform iunto anything else like a another bot or a weapons console of some type

I actually like the Hasbro version better. Would of been nice if his wings were also purple, but otherwise the darker colors give him a more sinister appearance.

The chrome on the Henkei version is okay, but the chrome on Nightstick's legs is kinda stupid.

Hasbro/Takara, take note. MAKE A SCOURGE TO GO WITH HIM. A Scourge with actual wings in robot mode and a vehicle mode like a spaceship instead of a flying soapdish would be so much win.

I wish Countdown wasn't an exclusive. No decent TRU that's less than a 3 hour drive from me.

Seconded. Much more menacing...would be even more so if the grey areas on his shoulders had been dark grey instead of light grey.

Agreed. It has to be the next logical step. Imagine setting the Galvatron/Cyclonus/Scourge trio standing at the feet of the Unicron figure...

I'm torn on Cyclonus. The Henkei version has a more G1 color scheme, but somehow comes off looking kinda pastel lavendar. The Hasbro version has more grey than I'd like, but seems more realistic and menacing.

Countdown is pure 100% win. I love that his rocket is painting to match the rocket from his G1 base. I can't wait to see this guy in person. I hope I'm not broke when he comes out, but I can survive without a kidney if necessary.

Tit Scourge works fine for me in that regard. He and Galvatron are currently awaiting Cyclonus. There's already a spot reserved on the shelf.
