One word sums this toy up: FUGLY!
Mind you, it might have the same sort of appeal to it that movie Bonecrusher had. I always thought he was fugly, but onc ei bought him i found him to be one of the best looking and most detailed movie deluxes.
I doubt the same thing will happen with this toy though since it is supposed to be optimus prime and it simply looks NOTHING like any kind of Prime we are used to. I mean WTF is that alt mode all about? Come on!

I’m not big into animated myself, but that’s how he will look in the show, so its more just animated rather than the toy and that is his pre-earth mode, the voyager will be a fire truck.

sonray, oh come on, you sound sooo old!! nothing like what you are used to! think armada prime, cybertron prime, g1 prime, primal, no primes like any other. his alt mode is a an alien truck for 7 year olds and its cute.

I kinda like him. I would never put anything like this in my collection, but I'll surely be force feeding these to my kids, and playing with them a lot!

yeah, there's some things they really shouldn't fuc with, and Prime's mouth shield is one of them.
Besides, from an animation point of view, keeping the mouth shield can probably cut some costs on lip-sync.
