i remember back when TNN had Trek uncut, I loved watching TNG every Friday night back then.
When i saw the DS9 pilot, i initially hated Sisko though as he was a dick to Picard initially(we talked about this in the old thread come to think of it) I was always so-so w/ him. That whole emissary thing w/ him I really didn't care for

I loved the way he treated Picard........It showed that not everybody was able to over look his being a member of the Borg. That not everybody was able to just forgive and forget. The emissary thing didnt bother me so much.

But he's Picard. Riker should have just came in there and decked his ass. Sisko was just being a bitch.

On a side note, i miss TNN, they were so much better than Spike. They should re-air Trek Uncut again and put at least TNG on on weeknights again

I've seen Sisko take on 5 Kligons and also saw him fight 3 Jem'Hadar.Riker was beaten by his old man dad an 1 Romulan. And he was pretty much beaten by that Remen in that last movie he just got lucky.

Still Picard is a Federation Captian

I know he will not trust him because Picard was the cause of his wifes death and the crew

But he was going to a new assignment he should of been a little more professional like Starfleet officers are supposed to be

Yep. I mean Picard was abducted and has suffered enough because of all of it. The last thing he needed was Sisko being a dick and rubbing it in his face.

Sisko has balls though, you have to give him that.

After all, he did deck Q in a boxing match.

Sisko is probably my favorite captain, followed closely by Kirk. That episode where Sisko decks Garak because Garak did some serious dirty work to get the Romulans in the war is just golden. Sisko had a lot of emotional depth, and what cooler way to end a Star Trek show than by making the captain a god.

Oh, I don't watch Enterprise. No sir, I won't do it.

My favorite Star Trek shows are DS9 and TOS. TNG is somewhat watchable, though I prefer the movies, and Voyager is mediocre. But Enterprise, no no. It doesn't FEEL like Star Trek, and even Voyager, for its complete meh-ness, managed to pull that off. Voyager just didn't have compelling characters or stories. DS9 is incredible. TOS, for its time, is quite wonderful. They had lots of (for the silly little show it was) intelligent stories and a lot of social messages. It was ahead of its time.

I personally thought Voyager was a good show. And no not because of Seven of Nine, I actually don't like her. I thought that the Doctor was a really great character.

I also really like TNG. Sure it could have used more action, but it was a good drama and show all around. I think that they had some of the best characters in TNG. Picard, Worf, Data. I thought they were great

I thought Archer was way overrated. It was like he was always being made into the savior of the future of the Star Trek universe. I did like Reed though

I liked the way that Enterprise's finally was basically a big "screw you, we're gonna make it about Riker and TNG with you all as holograms"

So what do you think of DS9 and TOS then? I've been a fan of both since I was 12 and 14, respectively. I used to watch Voyager back in the day when it was on and I couldn't get into it as much. And now, I gave it a chance and it doesn't do it for me.

Every one of DS9's main characters had some serious character development, mainly with Sisko. Making the Federation go through a costly war was a fantastic way to develop the characters, and I appreciated how every episode wasn't just a stand-alone episode.

I like TOS a lot, especially the movies
DS9 is good in my opinion. I havent seen much of it, but I do like the Dominion War's action.

Speaking of which, have you ever played Star Trek Armada or Armada ?

A video game? No. I'm not much for gaming.

You really should watch more of DS9. It's the only show I own in its entirety. I mean, there are definitely some duds, but overall the show is top notch. Personally, I prefer seasons 5-7, because of the Dominion War (gotta love the female shapeshifter and Weyoun) and their finally getting rid of Jadzia. My favorite character in the show is Odo, and boy did he change over the seven seasons.

Thats a shame. Nothing is more satisfying than building you own armada and blowing the **** out of some Cardassians

I think that was only for that episode.I've never read anything anywhere that suggests that the whole series was ment to be like that.
What I didnt like was that they didnt even design a new ship for the NX-01 Enterprise on that show.
