Yeah strange coincidence about that. Futurama last week was also a Moby Dick homage/parody, and I guess an actual Moby Dick movie premiered somewhere last week according to TV Guide. So what it boils down to is that there were three sepearate Moby Dick shows in one week. That is not common.
Still, the creature being a plant was a new twist, and they didn't shy away from showing it's equivalent of blood. They also did away with quite a few crew members(off camera naturally). Still, it was an average episode at best, but it did have a little character building, and most shows do take a few episodes after the premier to get rolling.
Also this show has inspired me to at least get the original 33 episode release of Season 1, Part 1 of Thundercats. Been years since I watched the show, and so far it's aged decently.
