No no no no no no no. How the Hell does that turn into a truck? This definitely had NO fan input whatsoever. I freakin' hate that Samurai Jack / Clone Wars animation style crap. I HATE IT!!!

But, seriously, I have to see it in action first before I can say.

Hmm, well ... ok, I hope for a more serious adult toon, till then, I hope besides the small bad press release pic, I hope the toon will be decent and not just for 3-5yrs olds age range, not that would be bad, it's just kinda lame. Ok I'm tired, peace out.

P.S
I really don't think Beast Wars or Beast Machines, was the "adult" series.

But this?

I recommend they grab the talent responsible for MEGAS XLR (there was plenty of TF references in that show!) and get them to run with a Transformers series. That would be a homerun. I'd defy anyone who'd disagree with that!

Please CN it's not too late. It takes 9 months to do an episode. Please please please

I used to be an animator, and I most certainly agree with
you!

I know what ya mean. And I was thinking, if they can make a movie rated PG-13 (and hasbro has no problem) then why can't they make a PG toon in the furture.

Yeah, with the style sort of like Gundam Wing/Macross. With a bit more maturity too the show. The first season of G1 was a bit edgy. I just watched it last night, and it really has alot of near deaths, ultra-robot violence, and totally disaterous situations. Seems like everything after that just got more kiddiefied. They have to know the fans of G1 and Beast Wars are grown up enough to at leats get somthing thats not for little children. They could do one for the little ones, and then have a late night version for the rest of us. Then make two seperat toy-lines, and make double the money. Makes perfect sense to me.

Awful. How is that going to transform...or move? I guess freely because the animators could give a crap about proportions and continuity.

One guy does something really interesting with Samurai Jack and we have to live with pathetic cheap knockoffs for years and years. This style will be sooooooo dated in a few years.

Here is my fear. We just become complacent and accept these designs after being innundated with images for months. We give up and just agree to enjoy it...much like the movie.

But we all know this could have been done 1000x better.

I think basically we have to accept tha we are no longer the target market. It is 8 year olds again. Our time is over or at least on hold. I just hope we get more masterpiece and alternators and not a flood of those things.......

Of course I've heard of Ren and Stimpy--hence the statement I made. The graphics for the animated series looks like Ren and Stimpy dressing up for Halloween! I think you are commenting on a different graphic...

*some random person whispers to the femme*

...WHAT?! Hang it all, I ain't goin' a single page more! *storms off the track*

I really want the new cartoon to succeed, but I'm seriously not liking what I'm seeing here. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt; however, I do not want to get my hopes up either in case it all comes crashing down. :|

That kind of animation may work for some cartoons, but for Transformers, it looks completely and utterly abominable. I can't even begin to imagine what the toys will look like.

God!

One look at those pictures and I'm not going to give this one a chance.

I have 2 housemates, that watch a LOT of cartoon network, and all the cartoons look like this these days. Lazy, Cheap, Tacky, Childish, Immature, Skill-less... So many other words I could use...

Why can't people actually put in some effort in Cartoons these days ? Back in the day Transformers, GI-Joe, The Centurions, He-Man, Bravestar, Gees.. Even Go-Bots looked like they had more technical skill and ability than all this new slew of cartoons put together.

I never liked the "anime" transformers. Transformers has always been G1 & Beastwars/Comics to me... Skillfull, artistic, deep & Meaningful...

I mean, They had it right 2 decades ago ! ? Why oh WHY do they go and do this **** now ?

the movie was complaining about the original cartoon looking to 'boxy' so now they go very liquied look. Beast Wars remains the best design in my opinion.

I did read the story, and thats what made me evn more affraid, " Joins the kid-frienly line up" "Stand alone storyline featuring everyday heroes who do good deeds that triumph over evil". That being said, i will still at least watch the first episode. If it sucks, i wont have to force mysef not to watch it, i'll just have better things to do.

We don't care if it's G1, the small pic is horriable, I can't help to imagine how stupid, and I'll say it again, dumb down the series will be? But you're right, we can't assume the series will be bad, until we see it. It's just one bad pic.

P.S I like Beast Wars and Beast Machines, but not the "adult" material I was thinking of.
