New Transformers Animated Scans!
Um... The youth of the nation allready have Armada/Energon/Cybertron and the movie to work with so I'm not buying the whole "introduce kids to Transformers" deal they've allready been introduced to it. More likely kids will think of Armada/Energon/Cybertron as their G1 and hate the movie and Transformers Animated just because it's not that.

a lot of people are totally forgetting that theres a NEW bunch of kids out there who will have never heard of TF until now and these will follow the movie (even if they dont see it until its on DVD) with the animated version that will be THEIR gen 1. Those who are asking 'why is it called animated??' well thats for those little kiddies about 5-8 years who werent around in 1986, this is their animated show (and who were probably in nappies for energon so dont remember that either). And for those who are still saying the toys will be crap and wont transform, you didnt hear the praises for the toys that were shown at botcon.
bottom line, its for kids, if you like the animation/toys, great, if you dont then thats just tough. theres always ebay and reissues for gen 1. I love gen 1 toys and for the most part i dont like BW/A/E/C/movie toys but i feel that recenly with alternators/reissues/classics things are still good for the old skool fans, personally I reckon the new toys could be a breath of fresh air and im hoping they are a temporary change just for the hell of it.

Don't animation artists have any integrity anymore? Anything coming from the U.S. looks like crap. Especially anything from Cartoon Network and Nicktoons. Such shows as Camp Laslo, Catdog, Dexter's Lab, Ren & Stimpy, Ed, Edd, & Eddie... to name a few. Everything looks like it was drawn while they were stoned. And its a damn shame! Even the old cartoons had a hint of looking real. But Prime here looks like he couldn't possibly turn into a truck. Japanese cartoon = good animation + crappy story. U.S. Cartoons = crappy animation + not too bad story. Its too bad we can't get the best of both worlds. But it comes down to the all mighty dollar.

ROFLMAO...
Oh dear.. My chest hurts from laughing... Thank you for brightening my week!
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Holy GOD!!! What have they done to my beloved Transformers?!!! I am not a fan at all of Cartoon Network type stylization, especially when it comes to longstanding and well established series like the Transformers. The Teen Titans is terrible and I was mortified by what they did to The Batman. Why must everything on this side of the Pacific be so watered down and childish? Has anyone seen Japanese anime? I am insulted by what this series and Cartoon Network are doing to the Transformers. Is no one listening to the fans? The movie was a slap in the face. This is like a roundhouse kick in the crotch. At least we have the comics. There is salvation for Transformers fans with more than half a brain.

I don't know, I think maybe we're too quick to knock it. I haven't seen the show yet so I can't say it's gay. I actually welcome the change. I hated Energon and Cybertron, due to the whole computer graphic Transformers. I'm a big fan of Samurai Jack, and I'm kind of looking forward to what they might do with the Transfomers. I will admit that I was taken aback at my first initial view of the new cartoon artwork, but Samurai Jack proved to be a great show, despite the way it was animated, and after awhile, I actually started to dig the way it looked.

HOLY SH*T, PEOPLE!!! C'MON!! What the hell are they thinking? For those of you who are saying to give it a chance, I say this....HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THE VIDEOS OF THE SHOW? THEY ARE (say it with me...) H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E! Not only are the characters way too organic, but the voices make it infinitly worse! My GOD! They F'd up (The?) Batman....and now they've F'd up what could have been a show with so much potential to carry on where the movie left off. Like someone said earlier...this is a slap in the face.
They forget that those of us in our early 30's grew up watching the ORIGINAL Transformers have children of our own now, and I wouldn't encourage any child of average intelligence (of a child) to watch this garbage. I mean, I was quite appalled at the movie for all the foul language (considering the premise of the movie was based on a CHILD's cartoon). I mean, I cuss and swear, just never around the kids. And the part where SPIKE's (Sam's) mom asks him if he was masturbating was just outright insulting and unneccessary.
We all agree that in some aspect, Michael Bay F'd up the movie....but this new cartoon series is just dragging the Transformers name all over the sh*thouse floor. It's an insult to us all, and it does not deserve to bear the name "Transformers".

As much as I love the old G1 series, I will have to agree with the Turtle.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

True, true. I mean, there are episodes of the programme that I love ("Webworld", "Burden Hardest To Bear") but I wouldn't call it intelligent.

We can't help it.I grew up on G2 era cartoons and I realized that I didn't grow out of cartoons,Cartoons just got stupider.
Look at cartoon network.Every one of those cartoons are the same style. Its all this deformed cut out crap.We can't expect an series like this to have any mature things like character deaths or battle scenes that don't have a anime style back drop
Look at Starscream's chin.Would it have killed them to place his mouth a little lower?I was disappointed when they give a character a name like "lockdown" and don't make him some type of military weapon. What type of tactical advantage does lazerbeak's alt mod have? Why are the Decepticons going to be portrayed as pirates? They just fouled up before I could even give this show a chance.Blitzwing a stereotype German?Whats next more stereotypes?I like how we moved backward from CGI to
powder puff girls style.

True, I will admit the plots and story lines of many of the G1 cartoons were not written with the most intelligent scenarios in mind. In fact, many of the stories repeated themselves in one way or the other with the Decepticons finding yet another way to turn Earth's resources into raw energon cubes. Okay, it wasn't brilliantly thought out with complete logic in mind but it did encourage thinking. And what it succeeded very well in doing was inspire the imagination and creativity in countless numbers of children who watched the show and collected the toys in ways no other cartoon and toy franchise has accomplished since. Just the fact that we're here discussing this is a testament to that. Also, the animation wasn't always great but it was drawn proportionately and it was amazing the way they took the action figures and brought them to life on screen with characterizations that made sense and offered a multitude of opportunities for conflict and character development. The 3 part pilot episode was nothing short of genius at the time and still relatively holds up today. All the series that followed, Beast Wars, RID, Armada, etc, have, with differing degrees of success, sought to keep to this basic scheme. However, I am frightened for this new series. The animation looks way over stylized in the traditional Cartoon Network, two-dimensional, pop-up book appearance with exaggerated and disproportionate character designs. Has anyone seen Robin in The Teen Titans? Good GOD! What the hell happened to his head??? I'm sorry; it just looks like their trying to borrow from Manga in all the worst ways. Japanese Anime is brilliant. Whatever the hell we've got going on over here is obscene by comparison. I'm not liking how the toy designs are going to be dictated by the animation style instead of visa versa either. It makes the toys look contrived and down right silly. Robots in disguise? You could spot those freaks a mile away! I can only hope they are able to characterize the Transformers well and give them depth of character and personalities we can care about. I was already terribly disappointed in the movie for that. I'm not holding out much hope for this series. What I have seen in cartoons of late does not encourage me. We are condescending to children way too much anymore. I think they are written with the assumption that all kids now have ADHD. I'll give it a chance, but again, the only thing satisfying to me right now is the comic series from IDW. At least somebody gets it.

However, for those who have seen the toy designs, I like the way Bumblebee, Starscream (except for his head), and Megatron look so far. Optimus Prime may grow on me. I couldn't care less about the rest.

I keep telling myself that it could be worse, and I still say that. I will only pass judgement when I see a full episode or two. So far, I am not disappointed (Though I agree that chin sizes should be scaled down to a normal level.)
