Why do the fans always do this?

It seems like anytime something new comes out there's an immediate backlash towards it. I agree that this image looks like crap, but it's an advertising photo, who knows what the real deal is going to be like!

Either way, there's a new transformers cartoon or movie or whatever every year. So this one won't strike your fancy, hold off a couple years and there will be something else.

Why even bother with the bitching? I mean the design is pretty awful but jeez, you'd think they murdered prime on the cross or something.

The toys are the most important thing. If they look anything like their cartoon counterparts...we're in for a whole sh*tstorm of...well...sh*t.

As mentioned before, even if the vehicle modes are even close to being cool, the way they get there, seems to be, very, uh, i don't even know what to say. They spin like the tasmainian devil into their vehicle modes..... or so was reported elsewhere. But now, i wouldn't be shocked.

They did it, they finally did it. Cartoonnetwork officially screwed up Transformers. Optimus Prime looks like a generic super hero, and not the robot commander we all know and love. What's next are they going to have a beast transformer transform into Barney . Or how about they all stop fighting in the middle of the show and do a little song and dance. If the toys look like this, and the vehicle modes are as cartoony as this, it will be a low blow to Hasbro and Transformers. WTH?

ok, the origional series was good, then i was hyped up on beastwars cuase it was like what happened after the wars of cybertron, loved that show! then beast machines was a good concept, could have been better but still, i liked it. then rid came out... nice designs but lacked, uh, oh i dont know, flavor. every thing after was just as disapointing to me. i was hyped when i saw armada! ... until the whole small robots, the look of the big ones were better in the first episode, before they got earth forms...

jeez, in a nutshell, everything after beastwars was a let down. i will like the movie, i believe. and i like the idea of a new western series, the clone wars was a good series, i will say that. but i dont like this concept for the t-formers at all. at least makes them look like robots, not this...sharp, razor edged, thing... please

one more thing, please stay true to the origional, please?

you corporate types want to make money with t-formers, not waste it. it wont hurt to listen to the fans, you know.

Everyone here has the right to express their thoughts on what has been presented. You lashing out at them and calling others morons just shows how immature you are being. All that has been released is a synopsis and an image. What do you expect people to talk about besides what has been presented? Would you rather have people just say nothing and move on? If what is shown looks ugly as sin, then people have every right to say so without you calling their opinions idiotic. If you want to disagree that is fine. But when you start attacking them, you cross a line that the staff doesn't stand for.

its like someone wanted to do clone wars or Samuari Jack style but completely didn't understand or know how to draw in that style.

What? Did I read this correctly when you said that you hate galleries? The Galleries in Seibertron.com are the best of all Transformers fan sites period. No one has come close to Ryan's Galleries. Not TFW2005, Not BWTF.com or anyone else... No One!

Those are some good designs, and I would *hope* we wouldn't have near the bitching if that was the direction CN had taken.

The initial report stated that the cartoon would be out in the fall of 07, right? And now it's been pushed back to Spring '08. I would hope that Hasbro, after seeing the finished film, would want to carefully reconsider following the hyper realistic robots with a dumbed down, kid versions.
I don't think the design is bad, per se, but if they don't transform in the cartoon, no matter how they are stylized, I think that's a big problem. Maybe there' will be some major changes before we see the first show and toy. I'll reserve judgment until then.

They official raped transformers with Fosters and this is its sick love child and results. I knew it would be turned to crap I was hoping for graphics along the lines of Ben 10, Megas XLR or Storm Hawks or they could even do it like Reboot or Spiderman The Animated Series. But this is pure garbage Optimus has his classic colors but not his face and shield and I would hate to see how bad Megatron is and Starscream. I will give it a shot but it is not going to be no Beast Wars or Cybertron that is for damn sure.

Now those look decent. I could see those if they wanted a Samurai Jack or Clone Wars style, but...ugh. I really hope that this picture is just a bad piece of advertising.

How is this bloody well apparent? From one production still and a single vague promotional blurb? I don't mean to sound insulting, but that seems like quite the leap in judgment...

I mean, after 26 pages of posts that offer little than "this suxx0rz!", I'm hard pressed to find solid reasons for being so intensely upset--bordering on antagonistic--about something that is really nothing more than two simple little images. I accept that a forum is the means to express opnions and ideas, and that there's no premise that mandates any sort of support for claims--but really, is all this bloody necessary? Can we not speculate freely--a fun little mental exercise--without the need to just result to petty dramatics and unwarranted anger? Or, at very least, to just vent that anger in a single post and move on, leaving anyone who wants to speculate to do so without an environment of sheer negativity?

I mean no disrepect--no doubt all of us here are passionate about this little slice of pop culture called "The Transformers" for all the right reasons, and if the new show turns out awful after three or so episodes, then you'll see me fall right in line with the rest of the nay-sayers. But hell, don't judge a book by its cover, folks: if nothin' else, be open to the idea that the new cartoon might surprise you.

Hell, the Michael Bay movie might not suck after all. Maybe the same'll happen with this. Only time will freakin' tell.
