I'm a naysayer. The mouth looks like crap and something sounds wrong with Cullen's voice in that clip.

Seibertron have you gone to "Transformersgame.com". You need to watch the interview of Frank Welker and Peter Cullen, because at the end of the clip they do thier voices and they sound the same after 20 plus years later...

You know, when they put culluns voice at the end of the transformers trailer a month or so ago on the website, it sounded the same as it does in the new game....i don't see why they would alter his voice in the movie but the game, not have the same voice. having the voice that low hopefuly is just a one time thing as every other time the voice is heard, it sounds pretty much dead on.

they better not F98K with the voice but it could be how the clip is compressed and it is on you tube.. or they could of thrown it in there. the synch is off a bit. i will make judgement on the voice when the next preview comes out or i here some lines for it.

ohh and the starscream design still sucks a&&

I agree with you, they really don't have a choice there if they want it to succeed. I just plain don't like Prime's mouth. I'm fine with everything else. That and I was being a smart @$$.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I think and hope Cullen will sound more like Prime when the mouth plate is on. That didn't really sound like Cullen's Prime to me. I hope they didn't make him change Prime too much. Cullen knows Prime like no one else. If he doesn't sound like Prime, what's the point of having Peter Cullen do the voice anyway?

I think one important thing to remember is that one of the big decision makers in this movie knew nothing about Transformers going into it. As a matter of fact Spielberg had to talk Bay into even doing the movie after showing him the figures and other properties.

The mouth isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Cullen sounds deeper which if you ask me is better.

I do however hope Prime is with the faceplate most of the time, he looks way better with it.

The mouth looks wonky (they couldn't give Starscream a humanoid mouth but Prime needed one why?) but his line delivery is a hell of a lot less cheesy than Jon Voight's or the voiceover.

That's actually bad editting on behalf of the people behind the TV spot. I thought it looked like Prime's lips were on the bottom of his chin too, but after downloading the WMV and looking at some stills, there's a part where he lifts his head slightly and you can see the rest of his jaw.

So his face is so freaking huge, they couldn't get the entire thing in the frame. But as the first image that we've seen of Optimus Prime's face without his mask, it's a poor choice of shots.

As for Peter Cullins's voice, the line it reminds me of is, "Arise, Rodimus Prime." It still sounds like Prime to me. Again, I blame the people editting for choosing a poor sample of his voice, because apparently it's from a scene where he's speaking quietly to Sam. If they had a clip of Cullins's ordering the Autobots in full commander volume to "Transform and Rollout!" I'm sure we'd hear a more familiar Prime.

No love for Bonecrusher pouncing on Prime? C'mon, the guys got guts!

What the heck is going on here? At one point when I tried the YouTube video, it didn't work, but when I tried again a little later, it did. Is this some kind of prank for Slasher Flick Day or something? (I call it Slasher Flick Day because of another Paramount movie by the name of Friday the 13th.) Anyway, I can vouch that the youtube video didn't work at first, but now it is. And yeah, the other link works too.

Yeah I gotta say, Prime makes me a sad panda. The alteration to Cullen's voice is alright I guess but utterly pointless, why get the guy from G1 and not make him sound G1?

Also the lack of a mouth plate isn't exactly surprising due to the concept pictures floating around but it still doesn't look good.

Well, that was pretty bad. Certainly did nothing to entice me to change my mind. Definitely not going to go see this sci-fi flick.

I'm not even gonna get into the lips and voice thing. Enough others have already captured my opinion.
