^ They're still far more expensive than they used to be, which is the main reason for all the outrage.

As for this news: WTF, Takara. This is 2 things I hate:

-A more expensive rerelease of a toy we already have.
-An improved version of the exact same toy we already have (which I spent a lot of money on.

So if they did this now, why the hell couldn't they have done it the first time? There are of course some pluses though:

-Improved hip articulation?
-Improved stability
-Cool accessories, better cape than the 3rd Party fabric one

But obviously not worth the price, because I have the first version already.

Give us a freakin' Galvatron already!

There are more expensive toy lines out there in Japan's adult oriented hobby market( adult as in not hentai but anime/giant robot/pvc figure (SOC,Gundam,etc) related, more on Big Boys with disposable incomes to spare ).

Transformers more or less is kind of cheap compared to some examples I mentioned.

That's why I'm not at all surprised about the price range though why this wasn't implemented in the first version (crown and cape) is beyond me 8-}

Anyway, it looks good, it's a cool representation of the scene, he could do with bigger boobs though. Has anyone called a "Sleep Mode" repaint yet? If they make the rest of the body removable so you can just leave the feet there, it will be toon accurate.

How about an MP G1 Bumblebee?
Ironhide & Ratchet?
Prowl?

I mean everyone who wants an MP Starscream already has either the Takara or Hasbro MP versions. There isn't a whole lot of value in buying this version even if it does come with that questionable cape, especially since you can get a better looking 3rd party cape & crown relatively cheap.

That's actually not bad, and since I never got the chance to get Starscream, I'll definitely get it when Hasbro brings it over. These accesories aren't particularly big, so maybe Hasbro will include them as well (rather than swap them out like they did with Rodimus's trailer and what I assume they're going to do with Optimus's).

I have the Walmart MP Starscream with the add on Coronation kit and the cape is starting to show signs of fraying. That being said, I like to dynamic look to the molded cape. If Screamer gets a G1 paint job then I am game.

it looks like he is more accurate to the show rather then the comic look.

i would get this but really too expensive.

and it looks like he is a regular F-15 Eagle rather then the Strike Eagle

I paid £45 for my Walmart exclusive Starscream and another £10 for the coronation set. I fixed the hip kibble issue myself. I'll stick with that.

The only way I'd bite,is if hasbro eventually releases this as a walmart store exclusive in America for under $45. in either ghost or thundercracker colors.

To be fair, I probably would pick this up at US pricing if/when it comes around....with or without the accessories. Still don't find this Takara release to be a very impressive f*** you to iGear, though, as much as I may have liked it to be.

But Galvatron was the natural rival to Rodimus. It gives a pleasant symmetry.

Okay, yeah right, lol. I'm a big Starscream fan, but to hell with that 200$ price tag. and that's without counting the 50-60$ of shipping.

For that price, I get the goddamn MP-10 with the stupid trailer!

Jeez, I'll just wait for the U.S release, as usual.
