Cary, I'd love to get some of that animated stuff! Bulk was always one of my favorites, and Oilslick is just so slick! He looks awesome!

Dang Cary you're really living it up! I've personally been in London on vacation all week. (I'm from the US).
That game looks incredible, and is one of the major reasons I wish I got a ps4 instead of an Xbox one

I have lots of things to say and I need to do a review of sorts in my game thread, but the short version is don't go buy a PS4 for this game. Am I enjoying it? Yes! Did it live up to the hype? Sadly, no

As it currently stands, NMS scratches a very specific exploration itch I have, and I like that about it. So keep an eye out for my full thoughts. If you can't wait then these reviews do the game justice.

Filled with intrigue, wonder and mystery followed by long stretches of loneliness, tedium and boredom that has lead to both great accomplishments and failures alike.

No Man's Sky has a lot of aimless wandering and grinding that satiates my hunger for exploration with just the faintest whisper from deep space that gives me a yearning for adventure. I'm still enjoying the journey, but the longer I play the more I see behind the curtain. There is a good bit of controversy and disappointment surrounding this game and for some, leaves a lot to be desired. NMS isn't for everyone, but as a whole; it is exactly what I've been looking for.

I'm enjoying the game for what it is and not letting what it isn't tarnish my experience.

Welcome back Cary! I'm glad to hear you've been enjoying yourself. Thanks for the info on NMS. I've read and watched some reviews and it's unfortunate that it isn't living up to the hype. It really had potential but it sounds like it's a very dumbed down version of what people were hoping for. I was envisioning something
like Mass Effect but without RPG elements. Just in the sense that you could explore planets, cities, and encounter intellectual beings.

Yeah, I'm playing NMS and ME3 at the same time. ME3 is a great game and I've been able to go all this time spoiler free.

Space, apparently I needs it. I'm enjoying NMS, but like I said it's not for everyone. I purposefully avoided all news and previews of it so my expectations were way lower than a lot. I like to go into games blind like I did as a kid so I can experience the game unjaded and for myself. I'm very zen about games and they are how I wind down, relax and hide from the world.

If you're a pc player, go check out Elite: Dangerous. You may like what you see.

I have an Xbox One and Elite Dangerous is available but I've yet to check it out. It seems fairly similar to NMS.
It's funny you mention ME3 (don't worry no spoilers), because in ME2 I guess I didn't complete the necessary side missions and my character ultimately died :-(

. I lost my previous save and I refused to replay the entire game over again, and I also refused to play ME3 with a brand new character because obviously I couldn't carry forward my dead character :lol:
