Yeah them nendoroids are awesome. Link is my first, but I'd highly recommend them. They have some for just about any flavor your into: mostly anime, a few vidjo gamez (the MGS one looks boss), movies (Star Wars, Frozen), and I've seen a few super heroes (Batman/Joker, Ironman).

I've been nabbing a few amiibos myself; got Mega Man (obvs), toon Link, Pacman and Toad. I've also picked up a couple Disney infinity guys; Groot and Hulkbuster ironguy. Don't be too surprised if HB shows up in this week's photo challenge.

The new Disney Infinity figures are pretty sweet, almost picked up Sam Flynn and Quorra just to have them!! I probably still will, I love me some TRON and TRON: Legacy :-D

I did have the 25th Anniversary lighted statue, the one of Megaman standing at the ready. It was cool but it just sat there, so I sold it at a loss even though they were sold out. Didn't realize the buyer was in Canada.

No Prob!

Samus is figma and Link is 4" world of Nintendo. I'm really impressed with link. Super articulated little guy. If I didn't know better, I would assume he is a small figma figure.

That lighted helmet looked awesome, but was always out of my budget. The Mrs got me that little version for the christmas last year. It was a loot crate exclusive. She's pretty awesome to track it down and pick out blue!

The lighted helmet DID look cool. I had to pre-order the one I got, his helmet and arm canon lit up and the base did too just like on the helmet stand alone later release. He looked great, I was just sad it had no articulation (even though I knew he wasn't articulated).

Oh, I thought you said you had the helmut. I see now. Yeah, I remember that 25th anni one, looked sweet!

Now that I've mentioned it, I'm trying hard to not open Zero and go work on another tfpc entry.

I'm not much of a (fill in the blank) guy, but....

Postby no-one » Sun Nov 22, 2015 6:18 pm

So as the title says; I'm not much Marvel guy, but when I saw this Hulkbuster figure I had to have him.

Image
Those Disney Infinity figure are really impressively decorated. Shame they don't come off the base and they have zero articulation. They make some nice little statues though and I love the matte paint.

I'm not much of a TF Movieverse guy, but money talks. I found Drift for under $5 at Hudson's Dirt Cheap (BTW, a lot of random and slightly beat up TFs are showing up at these). The packaging was beat to all hell, but the figure was 100% and in perfect shape.

Image
Drift is really and awesome figure with some great posablity, paint apps and wicked awesome samurai armor. Shame about his Goldenface.

Image

I feel the need to get some sharpies in there to break up all that gold. Now I finally have someone to stand next to Evasion Mode Prime.

Image

These next two pictures might melt your brain a bit. I also found Scorn at the same place for under $5. Ever price that guy online?

Image

But the sad part is I already bought the Takara version a few months back (if even that long ago).

Image

He's a really cool bot as well and I don't mind having two. I'm thinking the Has version may get a complete black paint job and a "flesh wound".

Image

Problem is now I may have to start tracking down all them missed AoE bots.

Thanks; practice, practice, practice.

I use a crazy turducken of a camera, a chamera if you will, a homemade light box (dubbed the "Ballin' Bot Booth" by Cram; trademark pending) and some cheap desk lamps. I just beat my way through each shot honestly and then pick up my slack using gimp.

But let's give credit where credit is due. You've got some skills and some nice pics over in your neck of the woods as well. Ever consider coming to play at the craziness that is the weekly photo challenge?

Sometime next week end. I'm planning on another two week limit. The current one goes until next Saturday I think. I forgot the date I set.

I don't have a theme in mind yet, but I'm open to suggestions. Could be just something goofy fun like the current or something more technical like the last or somewhere in-between.

I'm pretty open, anything tickle your fancy? Anything you ever wanted to do but just never got around to it?

Exacto knife. I first cut them as flush as possible without marring the surrounding plastic, then I held the blade perpendicular to the figure and scrapped very slowly. The plastic is soft enough to allow this. Be careful, it's very easy to mar the surrounding plastic. You man want to practice on a piece you don't plan to use.

I use the same technique to remove paint spots on my other figures. Half the time I just use my pocket knife (that I keep razor sharp) to do the same.

Image

Let me know if you spot a good deal on the Zero figure.

BBTS actually has pretty decent prices. I think I paid around $20-25 each.

Oops, out of stock on Protoman and amazon has Roll for $18
