I see I missed a detail, that is a shiney exclusive version. Ah, cool; that one would be nice. I was joking about buying two. I'll stick with my figma and I'll pick up the gravity when/if I find one.

For the price those WoN figures can't be beat.

I Can't Brain, I Have The Dumb...

Postby no-one » Thu Feb 04, 2016 1:08 am

So I decided to lock myself in the "botcave" and knock out some photos I've been wanting to take. So I started with a plan and then I just got all rando 8-}

Working on a new signature pic.

Image

Loved the concept and this happened.

Image
Fracture just has a great bounty hunter thing going on here.

I've been playing around with pairing the random/repaints of the minicons I have. I'm very happy with this pairing.

Image

Another picture I wanted to knock out was something Hellscream brought up during the war a few days/weeks ago. Yeah, I'm way behind on stuff. I took several pics and just couldn't decide which one I like better. So here is all of them.

Image

Image
Purple and Gold, because LSU :-? oh wait, I don't watch football. I've lived her too long...

Image

Image

I think the dark blue might look the best, I was in a dark blue mood this evening. That's when I started just grabbing random figures from my shelves.

Image
I love that iGear replacement head with the cygar.

Hit the wrong button in gimp while editing photos. I liked the result so I clicked export.

Image

And a little Fall of Cybertron to cap the evening off.

Image
FoC Sideswipe came with that big honking gun. The official name is the "Path Blaster" and was Optimus's default weapon in the game.

Ah the Path Blaster. I'm glad that weapon was still around in Rise of the Dark Spark. I would've been pretty sad if it wasn't. I'm also glad they brought back the Throwback Blaster. What makes me sad with that game is that the Wii U version had no DLC associated with it :(

They also missed an opportunity for repaints and figures from that game, but I guess they didn't push it as it was around AoE.

How does that Prime look with that WfC Megatron? I don't think I ever had them next to each other before I sent him your way.

Great pics Cary, as per usual :APPLAUSE:

Thanks, I happy with how it turned out. At least an hour of work went into that one. Posing, light moving, multiple pics at different exposures; and then in post I realized that I forgot Sandsting  doh. I'm retrospect I don't think that figure would have fit in.

itscramtastic wrote:I know him!! I know himmmm!!
He's been playing nice with the motley Wreckers and as you can see he's made a new friend.

I'm keeping an eye out to nab that game on the cheap for PS4. I would love to see more game figures (best of both worlds). Did you ever check out the browser based TF: Universe game? Had some slick bot designs. Looked like a mix of WfC/FoC and Prime.

The cash cow that is the movies tend to muck up the rest of the lines. I don't have very many movie figs, but the ones I have exceeded my expectations. Makes me want to track more down. I just really don't like the weird heads.

Only one way to find out. I have both Primes from those games. Maybe I'll have a megaprima trios tonight.

Have Camera Will Travel

Postby no-one » Thu Feb 25, 2016 9:44 pm

Howdy and welcome to another rando edition of have camera will travel. What did Cary get today? And where the hell is he at anyway?

Well it's been a while since I've plugged something new into my collection, but that's about to change. So I was out getting lost in a city I'm not familiar with (Houma, LA) looking for a Home Depot and I came across a wonderful find. They had the Leatherman Skeletool on sale/markdown for just over $15. They normally run $50+ and I've been pining to add one to my everyday carry pocket toolbox for close to a year now; so this pick up was a no-brainer.

After the hardware store it was lunchtime. New town, free time; you know I was going go for a TF hunt. I struck out at Ross, Marshalls and Target, then lo and behold I ran into Megatronus himself at the local Wally World. He was there with his 'Con wave mate Fracture and a couple Autobum repaints no one cares about.

So about now you're probably thinking "yo dawg, how 'bout some pics or something". OK, fine.

I like Megatronus, can you tell? He's a fun and posable little badass. I can't wait to take some "proper" pics of him battling OP. I also like my other new toy. I think it's going to be a nice addition to my pocket toolbox.

Speaking of, here is the rest of the junk that I carry around with me. Minus my wallet and cell phones.

Image

As you can see the skeletool has integrated quite nicely. So I've got three jump drives (the little tiny one's going to go away once I copy all the data to the other one on my keyring (the little one used to be on my key-ring until the loop broke :( )). A Utili-Key that is really just a novelty and I rarely use it. A Craftsman key-chain multi-tool 45505; a day doesn't go by when I don't use this little wonder. I've had it for years and I'll be heart broken if it ever breaks or if I lose it. They no longer make them; years ago I found someone making identical ones, but I've lost the name/link. And a Gerber Remix Tactical; not a very expensive or impressive knife but a solid performer, kinda unique and hardly a day goes by when I don't reach for it. It has opened a ton of TFs in it's lifetime.

So anyone else have a pocket full of cool junk they wanna share? I'm always looking to expand my toolset! ;)^

HA! I have the Utili-Key, and I use it often. It's the only pocket blade I rock.

Mega-T looks dope. Still waiting to see those pop up at reets. I haven't seen any new RID stuff besides the minicon 4-pack, and wave 1 D-Hunters 2-Packs.

Oh! Well also the Legions I found yesterday. Durh. 8-}

Dang it Cary, now I need to buy Megatronus. And, Optimus. And, the Platinum Bee/Grimlock pack.

WHY YOU DO?!

A coworker of mine has that Skeletool and uses it often. My regular Leatherman sits in my desk unless I anticipate needing it for something. I can't stand stuff in my pockets :-/ I just recently got a carabiner for my keys and I try not to have that ever either

Speaking of RiD, Thew did a review of 4!

Ya, Cobs MegaT is full of much dopeness. Really a fun toy. A little hollow from behind and a boring alt mode. But at least the turret rotates.

Pocket tools, pocket tools, pocket tools. Being a general computer fixit guy and household handy-man I feel completely naked and unprepared without my gear.

The only time I don't have anything on me is when I go to airports, government buildings and such.

Cram, I choose sleek and light stuff so I really don't notice most of it. But man if it's not there it's like there is a hole in my leg.

Back during my "old job" ;) I was traveling constantly and was forced from the habit of tooting a pocket tool. I have just never picked it up again. When I got the notion last, I realized I can't find my OG Leatherman. Miss that thing!

Cram, I have had the same carabiner on my keys since 1996. Proof that it has really served it's purpose.
The only key that's been on the ring longer is the one for Mom's house.

Edit: Oh, and when I was a carpenter, I wore a tool belt, so...

Re: Cary's TF Collection and Photos

I've gone through so many different keychain organizers. I used to have all kind of random junk. I miss my mini eyeglass screw drivers but I never used them, so they got cut. I may cut the utilikey soon as well. That brass nut needs to go as well (it was just a cool counter weight).

I wanted a bigger multitool to do some heavier lifting, but I didn't want bulk. I also wanted to be able to quickly put it on my person and I didn't want a belt shealth. So a pocket clip was ideal. The skeletool was the perfect answer with a clip and carabiner. It also features a one hand knife that can be accessed without opening the tool.

The original plan was for it to replace both my minitool and my knife. But I just don't known if I can cut either because I use both so often.

I just started using a carabiner as my primary keychain because I switch between three vehicles very often. I have a separate ring for each whip, and just swap them as needed.

I've attached my new play pretty to my keychain and it hangs in my pocket with my keys outside my pocket as usual, so I don't even notice the extra weight. I've got a good feeling about this one.

Can you tell I take this very seriously?

Nice Megatronus there Cary! I really love that mold, and he has stood proud on my dorm desk all semester long!

Now as for cool tools, check it:

Image

This is my baby. I got it at a flea market last July. Thing goes with me everywhere now. Has the knife part (which is badass), the seat belt cutter, and the Window smasher. all purpose. Plus it is Navy, and that is my favorite military branch. I love ships and the sea :MAXIMAL:
