He does look cool with all those beasty bits sculpted on, and the colors are cool.

For some reason I thought you already owned him, he really feels like the kind of toy you would own, and its definitely a toy you would love. He cant be too expensive online, lots of people dont care about him. Their loss!

carytheone wrote:So Will has yet again inspired me to snap a few pics, whats up with that anyway?

Much like I've been gushing on his thread, I love some Sharkticon Megatron (or as my first release box listed just "Megatron" with Tartarex Warp Sword aka the Tartar Sauce Sword and as a bonus those shipped with swapped shoulder pauldrons). Quite a few trips to the store were made looking for this guy. I love the crazy colors and beastie tooling. The sword gun thing is nuts and man, that shark jumping alt mode! So with that said, here's a couple pics.

Gorgeous stuff, I will probably use a pic or two. Will you be taking pics of the alt mode too?

Also, something you might find fun, while I know we think tartar sauce when looking at the word Tartarex, there is a deeper meaning. Both are deep sea themed words which come from the greek word Tartarus which is the abyss that the Titans were sent too (I believe Kratos goes there in the second game).

DE Prime, not yet, but I was tempted to last night and do. Some back lit pics of the pair. Maybe I'll wait until I get the rest.

As far as the last combiner Computron of course. I'm on Tue hunt for Sky Lynx and that UW set is super tempting. Great decos around and Ratchet, but 160$ is a bit steep.

I'll probably stick to Has Lynx and let TFS or BBTS tempt me on the limb bots if they put the wave on a good sale like they did with the last few waves.

Good Luck with getting Lynx. I enjoy him as a standalone character so very much.

And Computron man, nice choice

Please takes pics of the alt mode, and in that fun configuration with the jaw.
And this is what I think of whenever I see the word tartar sauce:

No problem, I found it super cool when I found out recently so I couldnt help but share the newfound knowledge. Sometimes Hasbro goes all out with their homages and call backs.

While we are on this topic, I have a question: why Russian? Hydra was German in World War II, they were the ones who got Bucky. They had Zola help, who is Swiss (or something) and then later is used by Americans (Alexander Pierce) so where does the Russian angle come in? In the comics, he wasnt part of Hydra but a KGB assassin during the cold war, hence the Russian words, the red star and the use of Russian firearms (and you know, his name). But in the marvel cinematic universe, nothing related to his creation, training or allegiance is Russian, so whats with the Russian theme he still has going on?

Because Bucky was taken to Siberia and held in cold storage there. The Siberian base became his home essentially. It was still run by Hydra, but it was in Russia

Interesting, but we must remember that the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesnt mirror ours exactly so we cant assume everything that happened in one place happened in the other. For instance, in the comics, it looks like WWII odidnt happen that long ago. Or else Magneto would be in his 90s.

I guess Bucky was sent off to Hydra's Russia base for quite a bit of his training, I will take that. Still I do wonder if he doesnt seem to have aged only because he keeps getting frozen. Because if so, that would mean that they only took him out for a few years time in 50 years, including his hardcore training and conditionning.
