It could be that the Micron ports are too obnoxious even for MechTech/Powerizer gimmicks (if that is even possible), and Hasbro does not want to bother remolding.

Any spiky bits/long fingers/rude gestures/collector death-by-mini-rhino that we've seen or heard of so far?

This is pure bullshirt and ass-hat rolled into one. Like Hasbro would tell us the actual reason when in fact the bottom line is $ one way or another. Besides I think us fans were due for another mind-f*ck you know like the DOTM figs that didn't make the states and only so many Prime FE to the states. Way to go Hasbro, way to go! ;)^ :VEHI:

Figured this would happen, given the lack of any Hasbro copyright marks on Breakdown and the lack of any announcements.
Utterly ridiculous that a prominent character within a relatively small cast from a series that's all about selling toys doesn't get a mainline figure (instead has to work with a ludicrously small Legion figure that's in scale with no one), but you could really see this coming. Even if Takara's version couldn't live up to US toy standards Hasbro should've had one of their own ready. Bah.

We're getting those FE's reissued. You guys put on another bitchfest ala the FE raage that was, vote with your dollars, and write in to them. Be heard because evidently they do listen afterall. I figured this would happen so I pre-ordered from the jump and got mine today. He is absolutely up there with the FE voyagers and it's really a shame they've pulled this again on fans/kids. He's a important character and pretty well liked, dead or not we know he's coming back in another form. Cryus-Breakdown I'm not to thrilled on as the general public's only choice here and it's pretty crappy that a U.S.-based/originating show has it's best figures issued to overseas markets first or not at all. :-x It's beyond wtf thinking and marketing, even for them.

See Hasbro, you choose not to release a popular product and everyone has to go to this 3rd Party Company "Takara" to get it instead.

Wait, what? Takara isn't a 3rd Party Company. iGear, FansProject, they are 3rd Party Companies. Takara is just the way Transformers are released in Japan. In fact, Takara sometimes distributes toys for Hasbro to later use, most notably in G1.

Wait, what? I have doubts you can consider Takara a third party company, considering they distribute Transformers as much as Hasbro.

technically, they are a 3rd party, at least as far as Hasbro in the US or Europe is concerned. Hasbro won't be getting any money off of any Arms Micron toys sold, I don't think. But yea, it seemed like a tongue in cheek statement.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

This. This is some BULLSH*T. Breakdown is a major character from the show. Admittedly, he's currently out of commission, but he's coming back. And again. Main character. Unlike Skyquake, who appeared once, or Ultra Magnus, who hasn't appeared at all (not ruling out a future appearance, which would be AWESOME). It reminds me of the ROTF and DOTM toylines: padded with characters that WEREN'T in the movie, while some that WERE got no toys. Here, we've got Hot Shot, Ironhide, Rumble, Kup, Shadow Strike Bumblebee, and they say "we can't do Breakdown." I don't get this.

Technically they're partners, they both use each other's designs. The accessories or paint apps just are different usually and that's it. Can't have one without the other. I do hope this was all sarcasm. :-?

Takara makes nearly all of Hasbro's toy molds.

Well, that fine. Whilst Archer is hemming and hawing and making excuses, RK and by extension Takara just got my money for the AM Breakdown.

Hasbro sure is good for Takara's business!

For the better Prime line molds it does seem that way. ;)

Doesn't really make a difference to me. I can only find Takara versions at the hobby stores here, and TRU isn't worth the trip to find stuff there as they almost never bring in any new TF after the movie craze.

Takara makes nearly all of Hasbro's toy molds.

This is my point. Hasbro and Takara are on equal footing in terms of toy distribution, unlike a relationship between iGear and Hasbro. Plus, Tak's got rights to Transformers while third parties don't. Anyway, it was an inevitable outcome for Assbro, this whole Breakdown and Unicron fiasco.

Got my AM-12 Breakdown from UPS yesterday, and I have to say I have no regrets paying $60.00 for him. This is a really nice mould, and the colors are sweet. For whatever reason, every Takara figure I have gotten, is just noticeably higher quality compared to Hasbro.

I admit though that I would have preferred paint over stickers, but I did a nice job on my stickers, and put an acrylic clear coat on them to preserve them so they don't start peeling.

As far as Unicron, I already figured this was one Hasbro was not going to give us, and had mine preordered a month ago.

Just a suggestion too to those who want Nemesis Prime, I am sure this is another one Hasbro will blow off, so you might want to preorder your Takara one now.

This is pasted from another related subject I replied to.

Sucks that he's not getting released :/ He was one of the figures I was really looking forward too. Oh well. Can't afford to buy the Takara version right now due to another expense being on the table. Probably means I won't get him at all, but who knows.

Hasbro pushes me another step away from them. If they quit doing MP toys, I'm done with them all together. They make everything smaller, while uping the price, tell us, the adult collectors, that we are a small % of their profit, but won't allow the the 3rd party guys to fill in the gap (which shouldn't matter if we are such a small %), and now this.

I'm sorry if I offend you hard core Hasbro fans who really stand behind them even through this bullshite, but this really is becoming very stupid, in my opinion. I can't help but wonder if they are doing this sort of stuff to get rid of the adult collectors.

End rant........

EDIT* I'm sorry for the rant, Hasbro. I just found out some news that has made me smile at you guys. Sorry for jumping the gun. I swear this is like my old high school relationships........

Hasbro must think collectors are just a big pile of money with eyes. That we can just buy whatever we want regardless of price. I'm not spending $70 on a figure that I should be able to get for $20-$25. I'm getting sick of their constant incompetence, something really needs to be done about this before they completely kill Transformers.

I guess i'll be ordering the Silas version then. The current price of Breakdown's not worth it to me, plus I kinda dig the eye patch and chest on the Silas one.

Hopefully hasbro still does release regular breakdown towards the end or Prime or soemthing... we still have season 3 with the Dinobots...
