Thanks, it's funny you mention that because I am feeling like that with Apollyon...Ever since I got him, read the horror stories, and had my own experiences (ie breaking HR in a photo) and I have been comparing them to each other. IMO their transformations are in the same complexity ballpark...and there are some thin-ish pieces of plastiC on Hotrodimus also and somethings don't tab as well as they should and the fiddle factor is about the same on both...so I feel the quality is about the same for both. Either way I love them both all the same and think they are great along with their engineering...warts and all.

That's exactly how I see Apollyon. Complicated, fiddly and delicate but bloody fantastic looking with quite possibly the most rewarding transformations within the Masterpiece line, I very nearly passed on Roddy due to the horror stories but I'm so glad I didnt.

In addition, to working on my project I also got some new additions to the family :) and got my Wing Gundam fixed up.

First up I found an actual assortment of CB figures at Walmart so I snagged one of each...here they are in a group shot. Really diggin all of these guys....now for a core bot....

Wardog showed up on Saturday in all his fiddly glory. He is quite a complex little dude but I find that complexity satisfying. He is quite a great figure! Great poseability, love how is alt mode compacts down into his bot mode.

I'm glad you're happy with Wardog, but he looked to complex to me. Not to mention I've only JUST dipped my toes into the 3P MP pool.

I looooove that Endless Waltz Wing Gundam by the way =P~

I feel like I need to try out TRU MP Rodimus tonight. After getting Apollyon squared away (and considering I've transformed the rest of my MPs in the last few days, minus MP05 LOL) I feel up to it.

Also, can we change the thread name to "Legit MP Collection" Donny? I'm pretty sure we can all agree you aren't a noob

You should give Roddy a try, he is fun! Fiddly but fun, the only part I hate are the positioning of the feet or more to the point getting all of the ankle points of articulation in the right spot.

I believe the instructions show to leave the hands out for transformation, however, I find it easier to flip out the tool connect ports when transforming him as they slot better into the cavity when putting him in car mode.

Even if you don't have problems tonight, I would suggest preemptively buying the replacement part kits available on ebay will make your life easier if you do run across a breakage.

Maybe intermediate Masterpiece collection?...still gotta lot to learn ;)

I know you just dipped your toes, but BadCube has not disappointed me yet. Who all have you gotten so far 3P?

He is very complex, I think that's why I love him, I don't mind fiddly as long as it works and is durable. Even though he is fiddly I don't feel like I am gonna break a thing. I have changed him about 5 times already and he still nice and tight, he has ball jointed shoulders but they are so good snug and smooth, obviously over time (depending on the number of poses/changes) they'll degrade, but some floor polish maintenance will help that.

That Endless Waltz wing gundam is a really awesome model kit. Diecast parts in the skeleton including diecast ball joints for the hips, waist and ab cruch.

Here is a pic with his "cloak wings" spread out. I don't mess with these too much the pegs/holes are so tight I don't want to break anything.

Suuurrrreeeee Alpha B is great little TF. Simple transformation. Looks neat in both modes. I'll say the same for all the deluxes. The only one I'm not a huge fan of is Dead End. He is a great toy, but ultimately I think has robot mode is fugly. The thing I love most about this line is the modularity or interchangeability. It takes me back to when My bro and I would mix and match our TFs, Microman, and other Takara toys we had. I love to "Scramble City" all night long! I just got Hot Spot and Cyclonus in the mail this weekend. Hot Spot is by far the best torso bot thus far. I have him wearing the Aerials right now. Looks FANTASTIC. In the time it takes me to TF one MP Seeker I can build and rebuild a scrambled combiner. Love that kind of play value.

Are you going all the way? Gonna get all the teams, or just get what you like and mixy matchy?

Haha! Exactly they are fun. The only thing I am not keen on for dead end are his feet or lack there of....

I am not sure...I will probably do whatever strikes my fancy.

Got 3 core CW bots this weekend...played around with them a bit. They are fun! I love the limb swapping gimmick of this series.

After doing some re-arranging and cleaning in the "lair" as well as doing some more work on the diorama I snapped a few picks of the CW figs on the diorama.

Thanks Cobs! I did do some work on it lately but I have not been good about documenting it...

Now that is upstairs in my nerd cave, I am having to rethink that room continuing to be my nerd cave... it is a small bedroom about 12 X 9 and the diorama has a 4x4 foot print and now that I put some folding bench legs on the bottom it is about 4ish feet tall!

I was able to get CW Megatron at TRU in store (cheap thanks to rewards!) and they had a bunch of Dragstrip figures. Still not sure why I haven't completed NEW Superion, they have always had at least one complete set..

In other news, are you interested in the latest "not Chromedome" figure Cupola? I think he and DX9 Carry need to be pre-ordered by me
