The challenge with alt mode is knowing what is available at the time. The other thing is what sort of experience amount are we looking at? If we want to be real screwballs, we would dump everything we could into rank and then find the next biggest dump stat to use in order to make him almost worthless. Does anyone have a link for his chracter?

We could go pure avoiders with nothing in speed or courage. Let us try to keep skill and firepower to 0 if possible. How about 297 plains strider and call him One Big Chicken. I think the fast land animal is pure avoid.

Technically availability doesn't matter since Burn and Wingz can set alts to whatever they want as Mods - it's part of how things like the Sharkticons work as prizes.

If we go with my idea, I say we max out avoid then go rank followed by some intelligence. Here is a possible bio.

"M.I.A. was captured by Wingz's task force in the latest rounds of battle. While he was captured, the coalition turned him into a One Big Chicken. His new programming, thanks to a shell program, was to be a great scout but jumps at the simplest of noises. OBC has a good memory (intelligence of 5+) and highly skilled at dodging (maxed avoid) and is rewarded in the scouting division of Bun-Bun army by having a high rank (8+) but still looked down upon by the warriors of Bun-Bun army."

Colors: bright yellow
Weapons: none or one of the base weapons
Quote: "Information is key to victory if you live long enough to get it back to base."

I am not sure if the experience is enough for 23 points. I seriously do want to see a 10 avoid at level 3 though.

EDIT: Maybe give it a lot of "rank" with the motto, "You really don't want to know what's inside."

EDIT: If you're willing to set the alt...would you also be willing to make a weapon?

Possiblyyyy...make the weapon "old lady handbag" (0-1 damage) and the name of the character could be something like "old biddy" or "Level 0 Warrior"?

That way, he could keep a small prize for himself, too, from the event.

When I saw LOLFP, I thought you intentionally meant to give it a lot of FP as a clever joke with the name Little Old Lady From Pasadena :lol:

I doubt the weapon is a go, so we'll have to think of another weapon. Possibly brawling and make mention of a handbag in the bio?

B: Destructive tendencies? The blasted thing decimated half my team with a handbag before driving off! This is Cybertron, where could it have even gotten a handbag in the first place, much less a Transformer-sized one!

P: No customer service without proof, no proof without the drone. Do you have the drone?

B: I told you, it transformed and drove off.

P: Then I guess you need to try catching it, don't you?

I love the mace idea. It gives him a bit of a fighting chance since I know that he likes to keep the xp on his characters as even as possible :lol:

Plus, I wouldn't want to leave him completely helpless since we're royally wrecking his stats!

I have to admit, though the bio wasn't my usual style, the complete tongue-in-cheekiness of it was fun to write. I loved some of the little things like the method of delivery of the transcript, 'No refunds, no exchanges, no mercy' and slipping in some Animaniacs and Slappy Squirrel into it...

Edit: Any other final thoughts? Or are we good to go with this?

Unless someone wants to take the XP Calculator and 'M.I.A.'/LOLFP's current XP and actually map out the new stats instead of generic "High speed, low endurance, High Rank, low strength', etc., I think we're good...

My concern with him having high speed is the other weapon choices he would have. My idea would completely nerfed the character. It would also dig at burn who seems to detest avoiders. My idea is basically making a Decepticn version of Groove from the Protectobots. What is worse for a Con than being to afraid or ineffective in a fight? The only challenge is he would create more draws in a mission.

If I done my calculations right, my idea would have 10 avoid, 5 intelligence, and 7 rank. The intelligence and rank would be worthless in battle but used for story purpose. The only usefulness is the avoid. He would have around 19k left of experience which could be tossed at whatever you all would want since everything else would be at 9k. This would allow him to be a level 3 but barely.

Sumo, the point was to have complete creative control, not to kill the character.

Though, I guess that depends on your definitions of creative and fun. I like the idea of giving him a chance, especially when we choose the weapon also. He’ll have it for a month. This idea fulfills the creative control and having fun with it factor for our side of things while also giving him something to be able to work with.

Has anyone try an even split of the stats? I know the level 10 have everything maxed but do we have anyone set all at 3 or 4 for each stat? It won't screw over the mech but still be interesting experiment.

Whichever stats you go with, leave them on odd numbers.
I've always had an inkling that bots with odd number stats perform worse. But I've never been arsed to test it.

Besides, imagine the trash-talk when it actually wins battles; "Hey, Buns, need us to design the rest of your team, too?" and such...

It'd be like that one song by Kenny Rogers, 'The Greatest', "Man, I knew we were good, but we can even beat ourselves..."

Really, though, I'll leave the stat-specifics up to you guys. I fiddle with mine too much to really know what to do with them. (I think the last month or so, since the end of the May C4C round, is the longest my team's gone without anyone getting reset and tweaked since I started back playing....)
