Such agreement.
First things need to be shot down like crazy.
And people forget all the good figures Hasbro already made with the Generations line.
I think this Optimus is going to be, my, best prime so far.
Well, if MP10 was voyager sized then he'd have that crown of course. But I mainly collect the normal Transformers lines.

Yes, because there hasn't been any catering to G1 fans in the past year. (MP Wheeljack, MP Prowl, MP Soundwave, Evasion Optimus, Metroplex, FOC Thundercracker/Skywarp, Springer, Blitzwing, Skids, Jetfire, Hoist/Trainbreaker, Arcee!!!, SDCC Dinobots, etc.)

I have FansProject's Menasor and nothing tops it for me, so Hasbro's is out. (Ugh.)
Optimus still looks bad. BAD. Zero interest in him and I see now that my money spent on ToyWorld's Orion was the right choice. (Probably my favorite Optimus mold, ever.)
Well, you do know you really kindo of have to say that don't you?
Don't get me totally wrong, I was tempted to get that Not-Motormaster because I really dig the character. But I've read about quality issues and the price doesn't really shout "toy".
I'm psyched about this Transformers release of Motormaster. I think they did the head way better than Fansproject. Haven't fully eyeballed the limb bots yet.
But I must say, the alt mode of the Fansproject looks better, it has a trailer.

Interesting, what is your current best G1 non-masterpiece / third party Optimus Prime figure?

Technically, Tomy didn't "buy out" Takara. The companies merged on equal terms.

Though Tomy does hold the majority of shares, it never had major repercussions for the Transformers brands aside from company name changes.

That's reassuring. I'd hate to see Takara absorbed into nothingness.

Not much has changed really: The Takara side is for Japan only, while Tomy deals with international releases. That's reflected in the names used: "TakaraTomy" is used within Japan only, while the more recognized "Tomy" used internationally.

Good!
All my fears are being blasted to bits.
All though historically we have old G.I. Joe to thank for Transformers, We'd have nothing without Takara.
Thanks bot fans.

In fact, isn't nearly all of the Generations line devoted to catering to G1 fans, with a few scattered nods to other Transformers lines here and there, and those being mostly phased out when Combiner Wars starts? "Generations" is kind of a misleading name, isn't it?

I counted FoC/IDW and its Japanese counterpart as the same toy. But if you count them separate, that's even MORE Thundercracker. Plus there's some non-Generations Thundercrackers from the same time period, like Hasbro's version of Masterpiece Thundercracker.
I think it's fair to say Skywarp's probably jealous.
