I was happy with the Aerialbots. Stunticons arrived from Japan yesterday, not impressed.
What didn't you like about the stunticons?
Was it mm's dumb torso mode, or the sameyness of dead end and neck brace?
I think that if the mold existed already, they should have used streetwise for either dead end or neck brace, it would've really helped break up the monotony of the set
That's why I liked Offroad soooo much, he offered a bit more diversity and he still looked cool
Yeah, he's one of the best figures, I loved the colors he brought, that teal and green look so nice
The offroad mold is actually my second favorite vehicle mode mold, with the Rook mold being first

Mines: Hotspot (the fulfillment of a deep childhood love), prowl, and offroad and first-aid are tied at third

I did like his poseable wings and 5mm ports on his arms.

First Aid makes a good beefy arm and is the best leg mold in my opinion. He and Rook as arms together make for a buff combiner. Air Raid is my favorite aerialbot though. I just love his mold

Yeah first-aid rocks as a limb, and rook is scary as an arm. I wasn't a fan of the cockpit fuselage design of air raid, and his head looks kinda off to me, I much prefer skydive

For me, Air Raids colors are amazing and the way his wings are just work so much for me. i like having his wings flush against his back sticking up and it looks great as an arm

Well, I've always been a fan of Air Raid, so I guess my opinion is rather biased.

I've waited a long time for proper updates to Blaster and Galvatron, these aren't them. This is not some G1 fan whining; we NEVER got a proper Galvatron, the Encore did ok but there was a limited design to begin with. This is probably the last time we will get a Galvatron that's close to the animation model that's not a MP. The original Blaster was OK, but like Galvatron I think this is the last time the original design will be visited outside of MP. For what it's worth if they can transform with the heads still attached I'll be good.
Rewinds arms fold up at the elbow to form the turret. Unfolding them reveals the hands, I don't think it can get flat enough to fit in Blaster.
Are Hardheads hands/arms molded in such a way to proper hold the rifle straight?

Watch the video on it man. Rewinds arms actually fold over the sides to hide the "tank treads" so they actually don't fold down on top but to the side, making him fit

Maybe they felt the name was too similar with the "Wars" part. Or maybe they originally had one idea for the story that would tie into the toyline, but then changed their minds and went with another about Titans coming back instead of a Titan war. Just my guesses.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Any idea why the change from Titan Wars to Titans Return?

If the combiner wars series does well then I'd say we have a really high chance of getting one for titans return.

They are different enough that I dont mind my purchase. One is earth mode astrotrain and the other is cybertronian astrotrain. I prefer the old timey train locomotive look.

If you look at the images, his arms are already formed as the turret, the hands are underneath it, so there is no unfolding to do (those are thick ass forearms). His arms/turret only unfolds when transforming him into the media player.

I'm sure Takara will sort us out on that front. For that matter, I wonder if Takara will forego the Titan Master feature on Blaster and Galvatron altogether. Their Transformers lines aren't always a direct reflection of Hasbro's, and given what they're doing to make Unite Warriors figures more G1-accurate than Combiner Wars.
