OR
Evasion mode Prime without chrome, closer G1 robot mode, with flames, and a faceplate with the 6th or 7th domestic release of the Classic Prime mold, with chrome. Don't know about you but I'm having a hard time figuring out which set I want.
I feel like the confusion about which product you prefer is part of the business strategy with all of these repaints. Somewhere in these, if you mix and match parts, is the perfect versions of each of these molds. Curious to see what people come up with.

Bumblevivisector wrote:Won't a lot of us end up swapping the heads to get the G1-iest Optimus possible, then repaint the one with the mouth and flames brown and rusty like he actually appears in the movie? Not yet sure if I'm really into this movie's toys enough to want to do an extensive repaint, but it seems like that'd be the point of buying the evasion mold twice.
I mean, we can't count on getting an official rusty repaint, since Has/Tak executives surely consider it counter-intuitive to make a toy look dirty and corroded when it'd be easier and cheaper to make it look shiny and new anyway.
And for the record, the only TF parts swap return I ever did was when I bought Titanium War Within Op, then double-dipped on the 2-pack because Megatron was impossible to find individually. Nothing broken of missing on the one that went back to the store (in proper twist ties etc), he just didn't have as nice a paint job as the one I kept.
(I wanted to get off this track, but had to share that when I saw -Kanrabat-'s pic; I feel your pain!)
T-Macksimus wrote:How many times am I going to have to go through putting up with epic "facepalm" moments throughout this line?? Once again they came SO close to having what I would consider a winner and then they go and do something SO stupid to make it all not worth buying.
Classics Prime all chromed out? Yes, please! Evasion Mode Prime? Meh... it's growing on me.
Put them together... Bought on sight!
Wait a minute... let's put bold, blue flames on the G1 design!
**** You Hasbro! You just lost another sale do to the STUPIDEST of moves.
If this had been the first E-Mode paint job, I would have put aside my minor issues with the mold and bought this set in a heartbeat. This movie line is a farce. A complete and total joke highlighted by piss-poor decisions.
Oh, and Hasbro... you can take your 67 Camaro Bumblebee and shove it up your *** too. I finally got to see one in hand and it's dark JACK-O-LANTERN Friggin' ORANGE! Not anywhere close to the yellower range of orange as some of the pictures suggest. It's DEEP orange!
So that makes zero sales now on the movie figures as far as my potential purchases go. Good job Hasbro! I've actually bought more from the BH and Animated lines and I hated just about everything that came out in those lines.
when i was a kid, i was in LOVE with my toys. i looked after them, cherished them even. which is probably why im a collector today. doing things like that can potentially ruin a childs experience with toys. maybe that kid wont be a collector and fan like us?Yotsuyasan wrote:So here your argument is that, because over time some kids toys will become less then pristine over time, it is acceptable to sell them pre-messed up toys? Seriously?Rated X wrote:On fleamarkets and parts graveyards, i was suggesting where a majority of little kids toys end up anyways, so I flat out dont feel guilty for toddlers who get a not so perfect figure.
Even discounting adult collectors, which admittedly (as much as we like to tell ourselves otherwise) are not Hasbro's primary market, not all kids trash their toys. Some take care of them.

That is, if the scalpers dont come to it first to resell for gonzillions of dollars on Ebay.

does anyone else think its funny that this (classics mold) prime is miles above the $100 cloud prime? other than the sake of completeness, whos gonna buy that thing? unless theres a legion of people out there in love with cloud prime, i just hate that black wind vane. the 2 pack classics prime is can almost contend with henkei convoy.
evasion prime, im indifferent about the flames. personally i think its odd that the first version of him didnt have the flames. i mean, it is a movie prime. movie prime always has flames. so the fact that they catered to the fandom right off the bat is pretty cool. unfortunately the only one im definitely not buying is the easiest one to get (regular retail).
also, im practically drooling over the thought of a rusted up movie accurate version.
Cobotron wrote:Hey! You seemed to have attracted a wild Megatronus. They're hard to find, but boy are they fun when you catch one!

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.
Redneck Grimlock wrote:Speaking of you swapping, I saw a broken 1996 original rhinox in a generations rhinox box about a week ago at my local Walmart. It's pretty sad what the world has come to. Also I really want this set!!
I don't have any version of either mold. What versions of the classic prime mold do y'all suggest?
I sorta want united Ultra Magnus and or Botcon Fire Guts Ginrai

the way i rationalize it, is G1 prime had chromed thighs. but i can see how people would think that amount of chrome is overkill.megatronus wrote:The chromed thighs is off-putting to me, but I might like it better in person.
Evasion Mode OP is a Voyager.Poyguimogul wrote:Imma buy two! cuz i luvs me sum classics, and the FAB Prime of 07, movie Trilogy Prime, and this DLX evasion Prime can be buddies.
