I guess the toy actually transforms into the head.

It's more of a helmet. It was based on G1 Scorponok's helmet.

Can anyone who was there confirm or deny a few things about the scale?

Are Leader Bulkhead and Megatron actually taller than Lockdown? I was comparing photos, and going by the wood panels in the background, Lockdown actually seemed of a comparable height even to Leader class.

Animated Activators: are they scout sized as previously reported, or deluxe size like the FABs before them? I'd been hoping scout sized to give a different scale, but they looked bigger than that in some photos. What I really want is to see how Activator Bumblebee measures up next to Deluxe Bumblebee.

Well, I can only see the first page of pics for some reason, ending with Black Arachnia. That brings the total number of Animated figs I plan on buying to two: Earth Mode Megatron and BA.
Classics Galvatron -- sweet! But why only a deluxe? Shouldn't he be at least a Voyager, to fit in with Classics Prime, Megatron, and Ultra Magnus?

I didn't really compare the height of those fgures, but the Leaders looked bigger. And the Animmated Activators were pretty awesome. They were basic sized and very poseable. Plus the automated feature was really cool because they popped open and then you had to kind of straighten them out and do some minor transforming. Very nice figures.

OK, I'm enjoying the non stock pics :D

However I have to ask since these where seen first hand, does it look at all like the silver intakes on SunStreakers back can be turned upright?

------------------------------------------

You know I could have seen this myself, but I thought Toy Fair was still like 3 weeks off. Gonna keep kicking myself for that!

------------------------------------------

Oh and BulkHead with that pink head literaly made me puke, Animated designers need to be dragged out into the street and shot! Literaly puked by pic 2

That's how bad this is!

Getter, did it look like Galvatron had knee joints? Because from the pictures it looks like they just rotate during the transformation.

oh must buy soundwave and ba... (I love me some spider bots.) Urgh... the badness of being in collage and not having enough money for them all. Earth mode megs doesn't look too hot though, he seems kinda blocky to me and his transformation looks really simple. Oilslick's alt mode is sweet but his bot mod and color scheme could be better... might pic him up and try to customize him into a bludgeon (though I honestly believe its only a matter of time until bludgeon does officially show up to kick prowl's robo booty.)

My big question though is... where is blitzwing? we haven't seen hide or hare from him since those sketches... He's the only character I'm honestly worried about (triple changer are always risky and I'm afraid of potential head gimmicks screwing up his aesthetics.) Do we even know what scale Blitwing will come in?

I can't believe soundwave looks so good... I can't believe they were able to keep so much of his cassette look... I don't think I have ever been so pleasantly surprised by a tf design; I couldn't stop laughing at his cassete control grill. Animated in general is looking so nice. Even the quick changing tfa's look freakishly well done. I just hope they don't kill us with repaints like they did with the movie

So does the Headmaster actually transform at all? Anyway, I guessed that's what it was, and was later confirmed by the pic of the box. The Headmaster is going to make for an interesting and cool episode  . But have they lost the rights to the name Slag?

Questions about Octane: Does he have a hand underneath that gun? Or is he holding the gun? Every pic seems to be angled in a way it's hard to tell. And that spinning blade, no hand like deluxe Tank Megs eh? Or is he holding it? Gah! I don't think I've ever been confounded by pictures like this ever! But then again, I never realized that I wanted Octane before :P . Also, he's a deluxe? Thought he was gonna be a voyager or whatever. But it's better he's a deluxe in my opinion.

All these new Classics looks so awsome! The repaints, not so much.

The animated figures look great too, I'm really starting to get used to the designs. The show being original and quite good is another reason, and after today's episode, Black Arachnia is even cooler.

I'll never be able to stress Animated Soundwave's awesomeness, hahaha. Definitely going to be my favorite of the line. I also honestly wouldn't mind repaints from animated at all. I mean, we already got a preview of Cliffjumper at the end of Nanosec ;)

It would also help me with my rule for keeping my collection small: one mold per character. Probably going to break it with this series' voyager Prime though.

So much to see today but I can't get past the first page of each gallery. Very frustratng! What browsers are people able to view them all in??

Anyway, I'm chuffed with most of what I have been able to see here and on other sites. Disappointed classics Galvatron is only a deluxe and animated Soundwave too. If he'd been a voyager, he could have hidden Laserbeak inside the vehicle. I mean, who attaches an oversized guitar to their roof like a surfboard? Looks dumb.

THAT was awesome. All those pictures are VERY satisfying.

I like all of Animated, but everyone knows what a fan I am. ;)
Really impressed with how well the Activators turned out, although some, like BB, seem weaker than others. I mean, heck, you can barely tell, AT ALL, that Starscream and Lockdown are smaller versions, without them being right next to their larger versions.

Not a fan of the huge versions of Optimus and BB, but I'm sure others will like them.

I liked everything about Universe-Classic, except the Quickmix repaint and some of the Legends. Although, since Universe Legends Onslaught looks NOTHING like Universe-Classic Onslaught, it gives me hope that Universe-Classic Red Alert will look NOTHING like Universe Legends Red Alert. Now, granted, Uni-Legends Red Alert looks surprisingly good in car mode, but I'm sure I'm amoung the majority when I say I want Universe-Classic Red Alert to be a repaint of Universe-Classic Sideswipe.

Speaking of Universe-Classic, do we know the name of the Lazerbeak repaint that comes with "Blaster"?

Also, something about Uni-Classic Powerglide's paint job has been bugging me, but I just figured it out. He looks like Storm Shadow! Slap some Decepticon and Cobra symbols on him and he would look like he belongs in the Crossovers line as a GI Joe crossover! That's not a bad idea, actually. You could slap some Decepticon symbols over the Autobot symbols, and call him Decepticon Storm Shadow. Then you could either repaint another one red to be Powerglide, or wait for Hasbro or TomyTakara to repaint him red.

As for Hulk and Ironman, those are surprisingly impressive. I really like them. They did a great job with them. If the quality continues to be this good, then I hope we see many more Marvel characters as TFs.

Oh, since they didn't just keep SWTF and Marvel TF seperate, but merged them into Crossovers, I actually think that gets us one step closer to the GI Joe TFs many of us have wanted for a while.

Well, I guess that's it. Very impressed. :APPLAUSE:

Some of the Classics 2.0 look cool like Galvatron, Prowl, and Sunstreaker. I don't like Powerglide's robot form or color choice. I hope the future waves try to play homage to the G1 characters. And I hope they stay away from bizaar molds that have lots of pieces hanging off or molds that get sacrificed for the sake of gimmicks.

Am I the only one who sees the name Snarl where it should say Slag?

I know most people don't care what the name on the box says, but does this mean that Slag is going to be called Snarl in the Animated show?

I had that question too. The reason I find it important is because they said that they would eventually do all the dinobots (between CLASSICS and ANIMATED). Well, if this is Snarl, I may never get my new version of my favorite Stegosaurus! :-(

It concerns me because the dinobots are so iconic. I can see this being a source of major disgruntlement the moment Slag is referred to as Snarl in the show.
