No but I do know that Omegalock had the same release date, so may be using the same supplier.

I cancelled the order and switched to Kapow. They seem to have her in stock at the moment.

When did you switch the order? Kapow have had her marked out of stock since weekend at least.

Just doulble checked Omegalock, they have her for pre-order, with a release date of 30th of November, for those who were to late to pre order off Kapow.

Yeah, clearly they are looking for a good way to deliver the concept of combiners — in a way where they can still make money/cut costs. There will be a few re-used molds as new characters (ala Alpha Bravo)... and missing characters.

I think the one that puzzles me most is Dead End being a truck. I'm twisting my brain to try to figure who that mold looks like, and what it could be a repaint of.

Either way, revisiting these after a few months... they look pretty darn good, all things considered. Some are the most cartoon accurate characters we've gotten for their robot forms. Getting excited.

Alpha Bravo and Offroad basically replace Slingshot and Wildrider as members it seems. And yes they are new separate characters, IDW and the Transformers Legends game have established them as such.

Besides, ever considered the possibility that they don't match their team mates just for variety's sake?
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

*fixed* :D

hasbro seems to be into really heavy retools lately (chromia anyone?) so to me, lowest common denominator for this figure would be: swindle. having an SUV converted to hummer or military jeep of some sort isnt a huge stretch to me.

Hey, thanks Shajaki!

Yeah, interesting batting around repaint/retool options. We DO desperately need a decent Swindle. I do think out of ALL the combiners that he needs an accurate vehicle mode. It's pretty iconic. (Point being, I hope it's not this mold of the stunticon truck repainted)

Also REALLY wishing we had a six-wheel Drag Strip. Even if they plan to retool into Mirage as a combiner, I think they should go the extra mile and add the extra wheels for the Drag Strip version. That Tyrell race car was awesome.

Fair enough Sabrblade, you are right in a number of respects, and for the Generations line sometimes any vehicle of the same type can be close enough to be used since it isn’t MP. The head for Alpha Bravo is a perfect match for Vortex and the arm weapons could be close enough and they are both helicopters. So I could definitely see a straight repaint into Vortex.

But, the helicopter mode just looks like a space shuttle. The nose is pointy like Blast Off and not like Vortex as a helicopter. Also, the shape of the vehicle body is more like the vehicle mode of Blast Off than Vortex.

I have always liked the blades on Vortex’s back. I know Generations will change things up but the tail gets in the way of Vortex’s copter blades. I guess with Alpha Bravo’s arms where they are that might be hard to turn into a shuttle. Probably won’t become Blast Off but I could see it happen.

I just got the reply from Kapow. They're in the post now. At least I know to never use Forbidden Planet again. And thanks for the link to Arcee! Pretty sure I'll pre-order her as well. Thanks for the help by the way!

Honestly I think there's as much potential in the mold for blast off as there is for vortex. Though honestly I see more of blast off in alpha bravo's vehicle silhouette.

Either way... I am anticipating a motherlode of combiner figures. Taking into consideration the repaint and retool options here (and the combiners we haven't seen revealed, like Devastator and Bruticus)...

Well... I guess we should all start putting back some money. I'm just sayin'. :-?

I'm thinking just four full 5-member combiners: 16 Deluxes, 6 Voyagers (4 Team Leaders, Optimus Prime, and who else?)

As a Voyager-sized torso?

*EDIT* Small correction concerning my counts. The Voyager count is unconfirmed, but the Legends and Deluxes counts are:
