Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Now some people who don't like the idea pounced on me and others who thought the idea possible and called us stupid and retarded for thinking that Prime and Megs had mummies and daddies, but there are no other Transformers who have referred to each other, friend or foe, as brother, whereas only Prime and Megatron have done - even Prime with his poetics never refers to his best friend Ironhide as brother, clearly they are not 'related' - I happily admit this is speculation, but for some reason some who are against the 'brother' idea are very uptight and angry about it - 'it's never been done before, therefore it's impossible'.
In the DS game version it seems Megatron stole the Spark of his and Optimus's father. I agree that the movie only mentioned brothers once, whereas in the comic and the game they use it a lot more, but this means it could go both ways. What little we have to work with, it might be a feud between these two ancient brothers (Cain and Abel parallels?) who have both gathered volunteer militia (Autobots) or hardcore separatists (Decepticons) to fight each other.
Raymond101 wrote:This is where I leave speculation and plead ignorance because that's all that's mentioned. Now people will say, 'but this is too organic for Transformers!'
Yeah, and Primus/Unicron aren't too organic? Heck, they're thought of as Gods and worshipped as a God/Dark God; they are based very heavily on common religious themes such as Light/Darkness from the One, eternal conflict between life and death, except rather than a divine conflict, this was fought between two massive immortal metallic planets.
We know that in this movie universe, so far, Prime and Megs are the most powerful beings. They aren't gods, but they can certainly be an Abel and Cain. After all, Cain did betray his brother.

Or not.

esclavo wrote:I think that he meant brothers as in we're both from the same race and the same planet, like humans would call each other brothers sometimes.
That sounds like it's possible that the person writing was going solely on the movie script, & might have misinterpreted it. After all, who's going to critique a kiddie "I can read!!" book?jacksonspade wrote:The one I read last week says "Megatron is the Brother of Optimus Prime, they are both from Cybertron..." I'm paraphrasing but that's the extent of what it said. If you're in Wal-Mart or Barnes and Noble flip through the kids books, I think it's the "Meet the Decepticons" one...
