I ordered it and even though the email I received from Lego mentioned the free gift with orders over 160, I did not see it listed in my invoice. It's been a while since I've bought legos but they use to put those on the invoices, so is prime not eligible for it?

The same thing happened to me and people on other message boards. Prime was eligible, but they must have run out of stock even as it was automatically added to active orders. Looks like we're missing out.

I'm afraid the Free Gift promo ended May 31st. I was surprised that it was still listed on the website at midnight last night...I thought maybe the promotion was extended. The gift was even automatically added to my order. But it wasn't listed in my email confirmation, nor is the promo listed on the site anymore. I think it was just a case of bad timing that led some to think they could still get the bonus set.

I got mine in and I think I got the free set. If I knew I might have waited for the Robin Hood forest people set, then again if I did this, Prime would've sold out completely and never, ever be restocked.

It reminds me of Classics "The Ultimate Battle" Deluxe class Optimus Prime.

It also feels like what we would have gotten had we gotten an official LEGO G1 Optimus Prime back in the Unicron Trilogy/Movie Trilogy years.

It reminds me of Classics "The Ultimate Battle" Deluxe class Optimus Prime.

It also feels like what we would have gotten had we gotten an official LEGO G1 Optimus Prime back in the Unicron Trilogy/Movie Trilogy years.

What I find interesting is how much carried over to the final product.


The transformation is basically the same and they retained the bot torso sides being the headlight area. There's actually some things I like more on the prototype like the silver around the windows and the "ladder" under the doors.

I did end up ordering one, I figure if I decide I don't want to bother trying to build it it'll make for a good investment (Lego Voltron sells at just under $400 on eBay).
