There have been female Transformers since 1985. If anybody needs to give it a rest, it's people complaining about too many women infiltrating their precious male-dominated space. Now here's a thought. Let's discuss the potential Bayformers spinoffs, like we're supposed to!

If I did I'm sorry about that I tried to make my post civil and I thought I was on discussion.




I will clarify that I have no problem with Fembots but I feel that the only reason that their getting exposure now is because of all the people on tumblr or something like that (not serious about the tumblr part but I feel that it was due to the cranky older fans that so many Fembots are appearing)



Whats worse is that their being treated like its a big deal which they shouldn't they should be equal to the male dudes.

So where's the potential?



There's really only three possible options that will realisticly happen.


Bumblebee spinoff movie (Or the Bee movie )


Prequel on Cybertron (Transformers one or whatever their calling it)


And a Dinobot movie which could either be present or in the past.

When we reach a point where female and male characters have equal representation in the franchise, then I will wholeheartedly agree with you.
Until then, however, fembots are very much a minority, and so it's important that we're vocal and make a big deal out of any steps towards better representation, to raise awareness that things are improving in that regard and in the hope that our positive response will be seen by the companies and they will be more inclined to continue the trend of introducing strong female characters.

And regarding spinoff potential, I think there's actually quite a bit. Numerous 'bots and 'cons have heard Prime's message at the end of the first movie and turned up in between each film with little explanation as to whereabouts in the universe they'd been previously, so I figure that there's cybertronians basically scattered throughout the galaxies. I'd go as far as to suggest they could take the premise of nearly any off-world transformers story already written and find a way to slot it into movieverse canon. Perhaps we'd see a group of new Autobots that hear Prime's message and head towards Earth- only to be intercepted by a group of Decepticons along the way, of course

We have another update from Deadline on the Paramount Transformers Universe Writers' Room, with two new additions to this seemingly unstoppable team of creators: Ken Nolan and Geneva Robertson-Dworet. The new additions have some nice credentials to them, and Akiva Goldsman claims this is also the end of the line-up for the group so far - as they will start writing and brainstorming this coming Monday! Ken Nolan and Geneva Robertson-Dworet have been set to join the group of writers who, starting Monday, will gather in an office on the Paramount lot to hatch the next iterations of the billion-dollar Transformers franchise. Nolan is best known for Black Hawk Down and Fox recently acquired his spec adaptation of the Robert Littell Cold War novel Defection, this after Nolan turned his novel The Company into a limited TNT series. Robertson-Dworet, who co-wrote the Black List script Hibernation, is writing a space thriller for Roland Emmerich that will be directed by his longtime DP Anna Foerster. She is also teamed with Will Frank on a sci-fi action thriller for Jerry Bruckheimer and a psychological thriller for Bad Robot that’s produced by The Imitation Game‘s Ido Ostrowsky and Nora Grossman.

I'm pretty sure it's considered one of the best war movies of all time. And if memory serves, they were trying to pull off a "Black Hawk Down," feeling with DOTM's hour long climax. A team stranded in a war zone with seemingly no way out.

It's a foregone conclusion that not all 12 pitches will be turned into full script treatments. It's basically an elimination game. Everybody pitches an idea, through process of elimination they narrow it down to 2 or 3 pitches that will be expanded into full scripts, and even then they might not necessarily all be turned into films. Let's not turn this into something it isn't, and it isn't 12 scripts guaranteed to each be made into a movie of its own.
