Well, they showed us the one picture in their comic which I really liked and felt was spot-on. This is really very different from that.

I may still get it sometime down the road. I'm not saying it's awful. Maybe the color choices will grow on me? *shruggs*

I'm thinking the same pretty much. I had it on preorder for the longest time until I got newer images of it and gave it more thought. It's not enough like any one of her past incarnations to give her much purpose that I can find in my collection. She looks like a decent bot with a neat gimmick, but without her having a true 'place' in my collection, it's hard for me to justify shelling out the $.

If she were colored like Beast Wars Blackarachnia, I'd consider it, but this one looks like TF:Animated in the color scheme department, a series I wasn't really into (although I do own Animated Blackarachnia, which is a pretty sweet figure).

Who knows? Maybe I'll get a wild hair giving me a sudden urge to start collecting more fem bots, but unless that happens any time soon, I'll be waiting until the price drops before considering picking this up. I've got far too many combiners and MPs to snatch up to be concerned with a random fembot biker.

edit: Just to add; had this ended up looking a lot more like Transtech Blackarachnia as the initial images led me to believe, I would still be picking her up, even at the full price.

Considering that the original two Motobots didn't get under $70 on clearance, I guess you're not getting this one. I think with the substantial changes done to the mold, and that cool spider pack, it's worth a bit more than the originals. Really not a bad toy, if just a little delicate to transform.

Had to drop the pre-order awhile back as there's other priorities, but I'd like to add her to my collection at some point.

Well, they now have to contend with MMC's fembots... Though not really the same (motobot vs cybetronian flight pod of sorts), people will likely not buy DX02 until much later. OF course, that's just my opinion/speculation.

I don't see MMC's fembots coming out until at least early 2014, whereas this product looks like it could be released any day now (I know, it was originally scheduled as a March 2013 release). So, 6 month gap between BlackArachnia and an Arcee isn't really a good comparison. However, there are detractors of the PerfectEffect mold so it's not really an issue for them as they've made up their minds.

Either way, I don't think MMC's plans will affect how DX02 sells.

I agree.

The different takes on the characters allow them to easily coexist on a lot of shelves.

I'll be buying both the MMC and PE fembots.

Yeah I had bought the blue version to be my classics Chromia when it was $99.00. S I was pissed when I saw them dropped to $70.00. The damn figure is so complex, I couldn't even transform it, giving up at the halfway even with the most informative youtube review for help. For this one, I'm thinking e-bay, maybe a year later when someone's cleaning house. Like I said 50 bucks, maybe sixty with free shipping, lol.

I had a few issues as well, and had to use some force at points to get pieces to move. Finally I got her the way she was supposed to be and I'm happy with her.

On to the big news, the folks over at TFW are saying this is a limited production run with only BBTS($99.99) and RobotKingdom ($89.90) selling her. After a few mins ago, BBTS only has 13 left to preorder and speculation at about 60 - 70 for RK. So... might be time to decide soon. I hope there aren't any QC issues on it, but the paint and the extra tooling on this have swayed me to jump back on the wagon. A lot sooner than I thought.

going by the new MMC Arcee, I can pass on the pink Motobot, which does leave this one as a nice unique toy for my collection. And I do love Blackarachnia, but, nice as it is, I think the price is maybe a little much considering all the other stuff I'll be getting soon.

Kept procrastinating on getting this one, but finally bit the bullet and preordered from RobotKingdom. I don't get it, is this thing not coming out until like December now? I thought she was supposed to be out back in May or June.

It's like a fusion of all of her different incarnations, with an added bike mode. Damn it's great.

I caved and pre-ordered this figure. It's is a little pricey, but when it looks that good I can just about accept it.

Just realized something, while looking at the pics trying to figure out how they managed to retool the figure to give it a spider-mode. It's not a spider-mode, it's just all her kibble combined to form a spider.

Less impressed than I was before, but it's still cool as hell.

I was all set to order this this weekend but I just had to stumble across an MP Soundwave at TRU. It's still no my list but what I really want is a pic of it with the Universe 2.0 and 10th Anniversary BW figures.
