I didn't pre-order this because I didn't expect the estimated release date to be remotely correct. When I decided to check a few days after he was supposed to come out, I saw people were doing reviews, places were shipping, and everywhere was more or less sold out. Less than six hours later Robotkingdom listed him as in stock again, so I placed an order, it arrived last night, and while I haven't removed him from the clear plastic shell yet, I have to say he looks sweet. I was doubtful of the price because I'd kept hearing "About the size of a DVD", but the box was huge compared to what I expected, and seeing everything he comes with, well, I'm very happy, and anticipating a lot of fun.

I've had mine for about 3 days now and I agree. Sure, the alt mode is basically a brick on wheels, but everything else screams "quality". So much articulation and detail!

That's right, all fan made. Just the head and tank modes are official.

I'm really worried that when my PoL arrives next week Warden will make me want Fort Max more than ever, and the quoted post bellow from tfw didn't help :BANG_HEAD:

I love the beautifully painted red sniper scope lens and the reverse side with the green targeting system with the "plus" symbol. Intentional or not, I like that there's a "plus" symbol somewhere on the figure as a nod to the Marvel Comic likeness.

I almost need to buy a second one to go with my G1 Fortress Maximus...but the figure is honestly too good to leave in head mode.

I really dig that they found a place to store the treads...a place for everything!

My Fortress Maximus is completely unstickered...the only toy left from my childhood.

Finally some good shots of Warden connected to Max. I already have Max's original gun, and I got Grand Max's Grand Sword from Japan for him, so both his hands are full. Not sure what I'm gonna do with 1 of the guns...
