Redundant statement is redundant.
There aren't any non-land based dinos.
Unless, of course, you're a non-traditional taxonomist, in which case Dinosaurs aren't extinct to begin with.

Yeah, Im definitely not an expert in the field. From now on, I'll just refer to Paddles as an animal. I was just curious as to if anyone thought Planet X may try to make Paddles alt mode more land friendly. To me, that would make sense bc the dinobots utilize their beast modes very well. I understand that Paddles could attempt a makeshift crawl on land but I don't think that would be very efficient. A hover mode would be something cool to integrate into the alt mode I think. Either way, I'm sure what Planet X decides will be fun. So far, I've really enjoyed Swoop, Snarl, & Sludge.

I actually only knew the Pterosaurs and aquatic saurians/saurids aren't dinos thing because of Walking with Dinosaurs(the series narrated by Kenneth Branaugh), where 3 out of 5 episodes aren't even about Dinosaurs.

PX-04 Summanus (Snarl) came out already. PX-05 Quirinus (Slag/Slug) should be released any day now. Ironhidensh, are you located in Asia and saying you got Quirinus earlier?

Seriously, I still have trouble with the other names in their various incarnations, and throw in AoE too:
Snarl
Slag
Slug
Sludge
Slog
Thank goodness for TFWiki!!

Since the character never officially existed in a capacity that Hasbro could copyright, why not just name him Paddles ?

Because Paddles is not a single syllable word starting with the letter S.
I do like Splash, and it's been bouncing in my head ever since I learned of Paddles's existence. It doesn't hurt to try to think of other ideas though.

Why does the name have to be a single syllable word starting with the letter S ?
The other Planet X Dino names are Caelus, Neptune, Summanus, and Quirinus.

Not their Planet X name, which some of us don't refer to in our collections. The actual dinobot names, neglecting Grimlock, start with an S & are one syllable. We are trying to give Paddles a name that follows the pattern set forth by his dinobot teammates.
