Yessiree. You'd put together an image for me previously. (Actually, when I went through on my data gathering exercise, we had written about it several times. I guess it's hard to remember with all the other crap that was in the threads.
The Diablo homage will likely live on my desk at work. And a thought just occurred to me. He'd be perfect with a red tail...
I think I'll make a comment on the Kickstarter about that....

If half of the kickstarter's stock ends up on e-bay, I would call that a tainted victory.
You really don’t care if the "backers" are actual fans or not, do you? All you care about is PWTT reaching the $80,000 mark. Putting scalpers in the same category as loyal fans just to reach a goal is pretty low. You had me fooled all along thinking you were just a fan. Does the $80,000 goal include a commission for you too?

I cannot believe I'm going to use an eye roll, but here we go...
(You do realize that while you claim to be having a good time with these comments, you may be the only one?)
Back to the friggin' figures...I love the idea of the purple head on a staff. Too bad that would be one more set for me to purchase, along with the staves. (Staffs?) The more I look at these figures, the more potential I see. I am very eager for this company beyond the kickstarter...

In that case I'll be going with "totally nuts".

Because buying figures only available together and selling the one you don't want is OBVIOUSLY the same as scalping.
In any case, I'm pretty sure someone who openly supports knockoffs is in no position to be lecturing anyone about how to run a business.

Ginrai Minor wrote:Hey Scaleface this may have been asked before in this thread, but does PWTT have any plans for transforming figures in the future? Or are they gonna do the action figure route as their main product base? Thanks!
They have kept secret about future projects because they say they want to focus on this one.
My personal guess, depending on if they doesn't fund, funds a little, or funds massively you could see very different outcomes. The better this campaign does the more likely you are to see other figures that are similar, but much more complex, since they will have the capitol to try new things, be it transforming figures, larger figures, animals, or whatever.
I personally hope this does as well as it can so we can see other projects from them in the future. That's why I'm backing the campaign for as much money as I can budget, even selling off some of my collection on ebay.
Play With This Too also posted this about their D-Fuzz and R-Mix tech drones.
Already got a lot of buzz on our latest reveal D-Fuzz in the Tech Drone 2-pack! But, where does the name D-Fuzz come from...
D-Fuzz is named after a friend of mine Dan. Known on some message boards as Deefuzz. The color purple was picked because its his daughters' Teresa favorite color. She's a beautiful little girl with Down Syndrome.
Down Syndrome is a condition that effects the physical and intellectual development of an individual. In addition to the delay in development there are also potential serious medical concerns such as congenital heart defects and gastrointestinal complications, as well as vision, hearing, and respiratory issues. Organizations like the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis (DSAGSL) assist families with education, networking, and support, as well as help those with Down Syndrome with education programs, community events, and public awareness.
If you'd like to make a donation to DSAGSL - Dan's preferred organization for assisting people with Down Syndrome, you can do so by following this link: https://47956.thankyou4caring.org/sslpage.aspx?pid=298

NOW onto the actual point of the thread...PWTT say there'll be the option to buy add-ons after the end of the kickstarter...so...by the next time I'm paid? (last day of the month) if so I'm all for throwing them $250 now and using next month's paycheck to fund the extras.

Understood, but one question...
Lets just say the kickstarter gets funded, but funding is 50% scalpers speculating future demand once video reviews are filmed. Do you consider that a tainted success for PWTT from a "true fan" perspective ?

How can you scalp these? They are made to order + extras for distribution.
On top of that, wouldn't scalpers go for the army of 10 packs to maximize their profits?
The only ones people will buy multiples of to later sell one down the line will be the kickstarter exclusive ones, the rest isn't worth scalping, since they'll be out in a few months.
And if you looked at the kickstarter, the lower pledges that give you one figure, or one of each are the ones people are most interested in. Sure some will find their way to ebay, but nowhere near 50%.

We dont know how many 10 packs have been sold. All im saying is some scalpers might be banking on reviews to increase interest in this product down the line. How many people on a daily basis accidentally stumble on PWTT Facebook and be like OMG I gotta have one ? Is this really an "on the fence" type of purchase situation for anybody considering there are only drawings to sway them ? I truly believe everyone who is truly interested in owning one (or more) pledged on day one. So where is the other 40-50% of the funding going to come from ? I originally suggested BBTS, but it has been alleged that the $80,000 will finance the retail run. So the only other place I can think of where the other 40-50% of the funding might come from is speculating scalpers. You got any better ideas ? Im open to hearing them...

I guess we have different opinions on what the definition of "outspoken" is. If I was really looking to push things like you allege, I would just ask you bluntly did you even pledge at all ? (I respect your privacy if you prefer not to answer that)
