The only official news I know so far is that the BMOG platypus will be at BotCon 2015. They are making plans for SOMETHING.

Well We have been seeing some teasers lately from Play With This Too. They seem to be implying something with the Boneyard (not-Grimlock) mold. I heard there is a big convention somewhere in Chicago soon. Perhaps we will hear more there.

Also, I posted my Review of a weapon called the Saw Slasher Scythe, this is the hand weapon intended to be used by Bloodbath (not-Bomb-Burst) and Sir Pythanore figures if they ever get made. The one I reviewed was just a 3d printed prototype that had been painted.

I see they posted another weapon render on their Facebook page. Seems to be the mace weapon they advertised with their Jetstrike and Sir Fangramore LeVenomous figures.

I sort of wish they would release these on Shapeways just so we could try them out on MOTUC figures while they are re-working their plans.

Another image of the dinosaur skull shield went out today. According to Play With This Too's Facebook page the full figure reveal will come Thursday night at a pre-BotCon party.

I also noticed that the image is tagged #boneyard on Tumblr. As you may recall Boneyard was one of the late stretch goal figures from the Kickstarter, and was one a lot of people said they should have started with. Perhaps it's been bumped up the design ladder and has new accessories?

Play With This Too has revealed the first images of one of the figures to be part of their revival.

According to Facebook responses, they plan to have printed and painted prototypes before the new Kickstarter begins. A definite improvement! I think people will like seeing the physical toys.

Play With This Too recently announced on their Facebook page that Boneyard and Jetstrike will each ship with two additional heads. So if there were any of the head from those Head Shots they teased back in the first Kickstarter, and thought would look good on a gladiator or jet armor body, this would be a good time to tell them.

They said Boneyard is getting 3 recolors. So molding a total of four heads for it makes sense. One head to be the main head for each deco of the body. Then with the four weapons, each of the four color variations can have different a head and weapon.

I posted that I would like to see the undead warrior Litchknife and the dinosaur headed Big Mac Roche on Boneyard.

@JasontheDoombot Jetstrike is almost done. Just want to get Boneyard printed and shown before we reveal the redesigned Jetstrike.

@deathformer Looking to launch it later this year in a few months. Hopefully around September/October? Not trying to wait until 2016.

So Jetstrike's render will be revealed after we see the Boneyard prototype, and the Kickstarter could start as soon as 2-3 months from now!

Also, just announced, the Boneyard figure prototype will be revealed at TFcon Canada 2015!

The Boneyard unpainted prototype was on display at TFcon Tornoto 2015, as well as appearing in the TFcon third party product preview panel. For those interested, here is a peek:

They have said they are revising some details and sizes already, and have a second prototype being done now, and a prototype for their other figure, Jetstrike, is on the way. Here is a teaser:

I love it too. Thats supposed to be some sopranos type mafia s**t im guessing. Kinda wish onslaught was the tallest though. I guess the artist was thinking real life alt modes when he drew it.

They are still planning on the robot drones. It's just the Kickstarter is starting out with only the 6 inch figures first, then the robot drones will be a stretch goal.

I know this seems odd, but back in the last Kickstarter they had two full tech drones as part of the base funding level, and only got about 90% funded. So by making the drones stretch goals, they can try to get to the 100% funded mark sooner. Usually once campaigns are 100% funded they accelerate funding, so I think they are trying to get this campaign to get to 100% as quickly as possibly.

Remember that you can drop pledges if they don't get the stretch goals unlocked on the last day, so it will probably be smartest to pledge for all the figures you want up front, then watch to see if they unlock the drones by the last say. If they drone as unlocked, you are all set to get them.

Honestly, I want the PWTToo Grimlock-drone, but for Starscream-drone I'll probably just use a Hasbro Legends Starscream figure I already own anyways.
