I don't know about you all but I think it's time for some Dinobot action! Resurrect Megatron as Galvatron, maybe bring in Unicron as a more "galactic" threat and you have yourself some cool things to play with. They could even push it into the future with Daniel as the main human character. There's all kinds of things they could do. I'd like to see it move into space and maybe include other alien worlds.

If there is a new Movie they need to wipe the slate clean and start over. Not necessarily Transformers 4 but just a whole new movie all together. Like they do with Batman. The Dark Night had nothing to do with the Batman films from the 80's with Jack Nicholson. They need to make a whole new movie completely. Hey here's and idea......... How about a Transformers film that actually takes place on Cybertron. No earth.

That's kind of what I was thinking. What would be perfect imo, since there probably won't be a new movie for a long time, is to continue the series, so that it doesn't deny the past 3 movie happened, yet it doesn't really depend on them. For example, by then, it would make sense that the Bots would have new disguises, Sam, Simmons, and all them would've moved on (or it could be incorporated into the plot that they were killed or something)

I like the idea of Sam's offspring being the star of the next trilogies, considering that Shia wouldn't be back realistically. It could be a completely fresh start in about 10-20 years. Not only will it fit with the other movies, but we wouldn't have to worry about any actors coming back or anything like that, the CGI will be flawless and easy, and hopefully we get something like everyone wants, something where humans are a sidestory and the movie focuses on the bots.

Nice idea of off spring - However I'd like to see a complete reboot. Maybe set in the future, or something like Transformers Animated.

Well, there will be no sequel to this story (you can't convince me there is), and I just don't see a reboot in a toy brand movie series.
Besides, what more can the Decepticons do? There's really nothing else for them to go after and they're out of cards to put in play. Megatron's dead, The Fallen's dead, Starscream's dead, Sentinel's dead, Shockwave's dead, etc. What are they gonna do, just say, "Hey, let's just randomly start attacking Autobots and people until we all die again."
Why don't we just take the G1 TV series, convert the entire thing to live action and CGI, summarize it in three more movies, and shut everyone up?

Based on the way these movies have been written, I think that Nemesis Prime and Galvatron are too complex for a live-action version. I think that they should really consider a reboot and/or use the 1986 script because they now have the technology to support it.The 1986 script can work as long they keep all the emotional stuff out(Rhodimus Prime(sp?)) and find a way to get some Stan Bush into it(The Touch). At this point, the film going audience has completely bought into this mythology and they would appreciate a little depth.

Everyone is too complex for these movies, ex: Shockwave has one line in DOTM. I don't see the 86 movie working at all, considering that so much consists of non-Earth setting, about 20 new characters will have to be introduced/revived (Devastator, Soundwave, Megatron, Starscream...). Unless you're talking about it not being related to the three existing movies...in which case I think most people will realize it's not the same, and won't see it, considering it will lack a hot girl, all the humor, and probably the quality of action. And I don't think many have really bought into the mythology, just the fun atmosphere. Although a lot of kids are probably getting into Transformers with these movies. Also, I'm pretty sure nobody will appreciate the 80's music, it sounds extremely cheesy unless you know it's significance. No offence to your ideas though.

I was disappointed how they killed off everyone in this movie, but one of the things they can do to fix it is if there is another part to it have Skywarp and Thundercracker come for Megatrons body taking it back to cybertron on there way back to cybertron they come across an asteroid field knocking them out and we find out it was unicoron who called out for them giving them new bodys.

DOTM has roughly made $400 billion so far. That doesn't include what Hasbro made on the Toyline and the future other transformer toylines that will result from the movie's popularity and stuff like Transformers Prime that will gain more attention as it is a more kid friendly transformers medium. The movie series generates alot of money for both Hasbro and Paramount. Why on earth would you stop making movies if they make your company alot of money? Disney hasn't stopped with Pirates movies. Marvel is still churning out sequels to their franchises. Another Transformers movie is coming whether you and the critics like it or not.

I think there is plenty room for a sequel. There are tons of characters they could bring in. This franchise has literally thousands of characters. Optimus and most of the autobots are still alive. Megatron has been resurrected before, and there's always the option of making him Galvatron. They could have some powerful bot recreate the All Spark, or create some other similar artifact that resurrects fallen cybertronians. If Shia doesn't want to do it, you can recast Sam or have a different human hero. Since Micheal Bay is done you can get another action director to take over. There are loads of qualified directors Neil Blomkamp, JJ Abrams, Steven Speilberg, Christopher Nolan, Zach Snyder, Kenneth Branagh, or Jon Favreau to name a few. As for plot, there are tons of options. There's a whole universe of stories to choose from.

According to wikipedia's DOTM article there are "plans" for a prequel based on War for Cybertron. That could be cool. I doubt a reboot would happen, but a prequel or a sequel I can see. I personally think its silly to think the film series is done just because Micheal Bay and Shia Lebeuf have stated they are done with the franchise. If there is a market for it then it will be made, and this forum and the box office results for DOTM prove there is a market.

I'd love to see a movie reboot set in the late 70's or early 80's, with characters like Hound as an Army Jeep and Prowl as his Datsun Police car. Also Starscream, Thundercracker et al as the F15 Eagle alt mode

There's still plenty of things work out and loose ends to cover. (such as making Cybertron viable to live on again.) Plenty of issues to work out as Optimus is not the only leader for the autobots. If they brought in some other Commander like Omega Supreme , Ultra Magnus or even Grimlock and had them butt heads about how he's been running the show, there's alot of drama there. Prime has been showing more loyalty towards Earth than his own planet, so I'm sure some autobots might not shar ehis sentiment.

I'm not suggesting they are going be another Sentinel Prime, but having lines being drawn between factions could be a big part of the new trilogy as the Decepticons likely will break up into smaller groups loyal to different leaders. Whether it's Jhiaxus, Six shot, Galvatron(as a seperate entity , not Megatron rebuilt.)Skyshadow(always need a new air commander), Liege Maximo, or heck even create a brand new boss for them to come up with. There's always room for new characters.

I would prefer they skipped Unicron till end of the trilogy if they opt to ever bring him in. They could build him up in the background(always use Dark Energon as a means revive some of the dead Decepticons and then hint at Unicron.), but he would be a poor choice to start off a new trilogy with. Ultimately Id like to see him ignored all together, but if they did Id want him to have an avatar or something that they could fight , so he could still be villain they could punch out, while having his true form kept imprisoned till final act.

There's plenty of ideas to be had. All depends where goes next. I'm happy with the first 3 installments, but there's still room for improvement.

LOL... Did some of you watch DOTM... Cybertron is destroyed at the end. It imploded when the control pillar was destroyed. It will not be around for a 4th movie.

I think most of you are trying to get the next director to do things that honestly are way too far fetched to be a realistic live action film. What Bay has done very well w/Spielberg's help is keep is sorta simple. You've got a few autobots from G1 and a good supply of decepticons in all 3 films. If hopefully Spielberg gets the next TF movie, and possibly a trilogy, he must keep it simple too. Going for Sharkticons, Aerialbots, Dinobots, etc are not good ideas. They still have many G1 characters to draw from and I loved the way they obviously wrote a lot of DOTM from The Ultimate Doom 3 part cartoon series. Hey Spielberg, go watch G1 cartoons and give us some more!!!!

I would still love to see Hound, Trailbreaker, Cliffjumper, Mirage, Prowl, and please for the love of God, gimme some Omega Supreme...I was really hoping that DOTM would end with OS and some big Decepticon fightin it out!....but alas.....bring on TF4 even if it takes several years

And in TF4....for the sake of Pete...let the decepticons win!!!!! It would be freakin awesome and far more dramatic for the next film or two....remember Empire Strikes Back...Lucas is a genious!!!!!!

What I want to see: Galvatron, Nemesis Prime/Scourge/Motormaster, Tidal Wave, Unicron, Omega Supreme, Dinobots, Predacons, Rodimus, Vector Prime, Seekers, Waspinator, Ultra Magnus, Alpha Trion, NEMESIS PRIME

It's stated to be Acid Rust, not Cosmic Rust.

A new film would be awsome. If starscream wasnt dead (i hope he comes back some how) he should bring in Thundercracker, Skywarp, Grimlock and Slipstream. I carnt remember if they were actully his clones or not. I love arialbots.
Unicron is to big i think, if they did have him in the new film it would take atleast a year or more to create something that big.

Nope, there was a reference that there were about or more than 200 Decepticons on Earth during the invasion. Besides, there were scenes of them all over the world activating the pillars.

I think from the moon since there was the scene of them waking up. The rogue Autobots idea sounds nice since they could be the loyalist of Sentinel Prime. There is no official statement, but all the Transformers died in the Ark except Sentinel.

I personally think the next movie should be scrubbed clean of any of the Bay stuff and started fresh. I am liking the idea of a Transformers Prime movie although that honestly wouldn't have the mainstream attraction that the Bay movies did.

OP being the villain would be the logical choice if you view it as the 'hero who fought monsters that he became a monster himself'(like 'guts' from 'berserk;). right now he's pissed and tired that he'd probably have surrendering decepticons executed rather than risk them faking a surrender then attacking when the opportunity arises. some would think it's for the best but some would think optimus crossed a line and it'll take one brave/crazy individual to rise up and say "what the hell hero?" and optimus either comes back to his senses or he gets dethroned.

and that's how you introduce hot rod/rodimus prime to the live action continuity

From what I heard, TF4 may take us back to Cybertron giving us the story before the autobots came to earth. But it wouldn't be a prequel. It would be a story told through flashbacks from each of the surviving characters and some in the memorys of the dead. But it would tell about the fall of the Autobots and the rise of the Decepticons as well as shed light on the rule of the previous Prime. I don't know if the Prime is Sentinal or Galvous Prime who lead before Sentinal. This IS NOT set in stone. Last I heard it was still a concept. The other concept I heard about is Soundwave resurects Sentinal. Soundwave resurects Sentinal because Sentinal knows of an energon source that can fuse the pieces of the allspark back together. But the problem is this new allspark would be like the negative version of the original. It would create worlds in a twisted form. The Autobots know this and so they try to stop the decepticons. But they have a different problem. The bigger problem has not yet been revealed but I have a feeling it will have to do with a new faction or race of machine.

I'm thinking people might get turned off to the idea "if" they go back to there Cybertronian modes? Confusing for some as who is who.

**** is to easy to point out how this dice will roll. Optimus will die in the fight between the auto bots and the decepticons it will b in the very first scenes... The fight will be for megatron and nemesis primes bodies for the resurrection of megatron with nemisis primes body this will b conspired by galvatron (big ass mutha ****). Autobots new leader will b ultra magnus who will be given the matrix and in the final battle there will be a a truess as ultra magnus and megatron will no doubt destroy galvatron together and go back to make a new world or return home to watevers left of cybertron
